In 1990 Robert J. Thomas was sworn in as the full time mayor for the city of Westland, Michigan. He served twelve years, making him the longest serving mayor in Westland's history.
While he was mayor he wrote his first book titled, How to Run for Local Office, which has now sold over 25,000 copies worldwide.
He has written and published on Kindle, the Jess Williams Westerns series. Retired, he now lives in Mississippi with his wfe Jill.
Jess does what he does best, Kill bad men. The human side of Jess is a very kind and generous man. Martha is an old friend he had help save once. She send for Jess to solve the murder of local sheriff. Jess gets his man but maybe also finds his future.
I can't say that I disliked any part of the book. I don't think this book showed Mr. Prices best work. I can't put a finger on what was off with the book, but just don't feel he did his best. If course, I always look forward to his Jess Williams books and will be anxiously waiting for #113. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good western!
Jess is after another evil murderer, when he receives a telegram from Martha. The marshal in her town has been murdered, and she wants Jess to solve the crime. As always, Jess succeeds and their relationship progresses. The usual complaints for me are the use of Gandhi s being called pistols and mixing pronouns. The killings are also very graphic and most women of tbd time do not cuss. Love The horses and Melvin. Miss Shadow.
I started with number One and have no regrets as I just finished book number one hundred and twelve. As a former law enforcement officer I understand why Jess works like he does. I also like the way he is generous to people in need that he meets.
Jess stops whatever he was doing as soon as he received telegraph from Martha Heller, schoolmum, he respects and rescued once. Great adventures where ever Jess comes to town. But now thinking how much longer he plans to kill the bad men.
I love the Jess Williams. The problem is the author doesn't write fast enough. I fear that Jess will retire some day soon and leave me in a quandary as to the next great author. So, Mr. Thomas get behind that keyboard and get to writing.
I sure like reading these books I hate to see them end I was glad he went to see his schoolteacher one day I hope they get together thank you for such a great book tommy a.
Another well written novel by this author. I look forward to reading his next novel since I have read 1-112 and never been disappointed. I highly recommend this author.
Another great book. It shows both sides of a complicated soul Jess Williams lives. Maybe someday he will find peace and settle down in his house on the lake and fish.
