This was a little confusing at first, because of the split perspective, but it worked itself out.

I'm not sure how I feel about future books, as the protagonist won't be doing what she did in book one any longer.

I didn't enjoy this much, as the protagonist wasn't building her own means of defense, this was mostly a locale visiting book.

An Inter Dimensional Quest To Defeat A Pantheon.

Azaria, Lance, Neo, and their various minions set out on a quest through alternate dimensions, visiting worlds already destroyed by the "gods" who have assaulted Earth. Their quest is to find knowledge about their foes and any weapons which previous victims may have developed to fight their planet devouring enemies. As is always the case, there are . . . challenges and dangers to overcome on each of the destitute worlds they visit; but as total destruction is the price of failure they persevere.

This novel may be of interest to fans of the wider Fantasy genre and to those who enjoy playing RPGs.

fun

Okay having returned from the other dimension, the MC begins plotting her rebellion in building her team in order to overthrow the so-called gods. To this effect she starts sending people on away missions to other dimensions to gather any Intel and devices they can to help them in their fight. In the end she winds up drawing a group of the gods to the city to be defeated by her and her team setting the stage for the next book and a larger battle.

The story flow is still wonderful and the tale was just captivating. I enjoyed this book and I hope you will too

When time travel and dimensional travel were introduced I got worried.

I was right. Peed has taken to complicating world states at the expense of story in books far too short to handle it. This was taken to an extreme in this book. With all the choices available, this is just a convoluted mess.
