Claimed by Monsters #3

Queen of the Dark

Rate this book
Roanac didn’t just steal my blood. He stole the power inside it. And now the only person who can stop him is me.

…I hope.

But at least I’m not alone in this fight. It might be up to me to fix this and bring Roanac down, but there are three gorgeous men who will have my back no matter what.

My mates.

It’s hard to believe I ever fought against the bond between us, because now our connection is the only thing giving me hope. I’m falling in love with each of these beautiful, monstrous men, and as long as we’re together, I know everything will be all right in the end.

So why does my Sight keep showing me a vision of the future without them by my side?

Queen of the Dark is the final book in the Claimed by Monsters series, an action-packed paranormal romance featuring a fierce woman and three damaged, sexy men.

Original review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Sadie Moss!

Queen of the Dark is the third and final book in the Claimed by Monsters series and continues the story of Kiara and her men, Cain, North and Raven.

I can’t believe Queen of the Dark is already the third and final book in the series. I really loved reading the Claimed by Monsters books and getting to know Kiara, Cain, North and Raven. This book series is filled with romance, spice and action! Sadie Moss has created such an interesting world with different species, and, of course, interesting characters!

In Queen of the Dark, Kiara is finally as close as she can be with her men. I loved seeing Kiara grow as a character and seeing her love herself and love Cain, North and Raven. I think she’s really strong and she did some brave things in Queen of the Dark. I also really loved a certain moment about North!

Queen of the Dark was another amazing read by Sadie Moss, and I didn’t expect anything else. I really enjoyed reading this book and the epilogue made me smile. I also really liked the crossover with the The Vampires’ Fae series, I’m really looking forward to reading those books! If you’re looking for a good Reverse Harem Romance with some Fantasy, then I highly recommend the Claimed by Monsters series!

And thus concludes Kiara’s story.

I gotta say, I wasn’t sure how any of this was going to go but I’m glad it went the way it did. Sadie weaves such great world building and story telling.

Hope. Seems quite silly to say it, but this book genuinely just made me feel hopeful. It just gave me all the warm fuzzies by the end of it all.

I can’t begin to tell you how freaking excited I was at seeing the new vampire king and queen though! Yesssss! I love it when characters have a little cross over and we get to see old favourites 😈

Is the story itself overall a dark one? No. It’s a Sadie Moss one and that is all that should matter here, because I don’t think she’s wrote a book I haven’t wanted to read.

So I kept seeing this series on TikTok and thought I’d give it a shot because it sounded really good and I haven’t tried anything from this author before. I loved this series! It was so fun to read. It wasn’t overly intense but still had that suspense factor to it to keep me into it. It had a badass lead female and sexy, protective guys. A big bad villain. Honestly what else do you need?

If you’re looking for a sexy fun read pick this up. Kiara, Raven, Cain, and North won’t steer you wrong.

I think that through most of this series, it always felt like no matter how hard Kiara and her mates tried, the opposing villain, whether it be Donovan or Roanac, always had the upper hand or was one step ahead of them. Even when they had a decent plan, the unknown factors they never thought about made a huge difference in what they ended up being able to do. But I believe the main issue was that they were only a group of four. No matter how strong they were, they would never be a match for Roanac in the end by themselves. I really loved the idea of the main groups of supernaturals coming together for the common good. Even though vampires, fae and hybrids, and shifters lived in the same world, there was a very distinct separation between the three, definitely no obvious mingling between them. It was incredible to see what all they were capable of when working together. If there are more books coming in this world, I hope that there will be more of a blend of the supernaturals.

The vampires were one of the most surprising parts of this book. From book one we'd been given the knowledge that fae were in danger from vampires because of their addictive blood, that they couldn't be trusted, and that they were malicious. The king, queen, and their consorts certainly proved that being good or bad was a choice, and not in the vampires' genetics to be so evil. The once feared enemy turned out to be some of the most welcoming and helpful of the bunch.

Besides the fight against Roanac, you also see huge steps being made by Kiara and her guys in this final book. For once, you see a more vulnerable and serious side to Cain instead of his always joking and happy demeanor. It was nice to see this rare moment as he opened up to Kiara about how he felt about his past with the vampires. North too showed that believing in yourself gives the best results. Mental blocks are a real thing that can keep you from progressing and finding out how much you are truly capable of. As for Raven, he was the sweet mother hen of the bunch, taking care of everyone as always. After a rocky start full of disbelief, Kiara and her men were stronger than ever, comfortable in their relationship with each other. Instead of feeling trapped like she always felt she would, Kiara was secure, loved, and no longer alone. This has been an amazing series with a lot of ups and downs. I'm glad to see Kiara and her men get their happy ending.

And just like that this series is over. I'm a little sad to not be able to read about Kiara and her mates anymore but I am glad it ended with a HEA. Okay fine maybe if I'm being a little honest I'm going to miss the spicy scenes the most. They were well written in my opinion.

My only complaints on this book were some grammer errors I found throughout the chapters. That I honestly felt that this one was written in a way faster pace. I get that they needed to hury before Roanac got his full power but it just felt too quick. I don't know just my thought. I wish it was dragged out a bit more. And then the final complaint which could be my own memory betraying me so im not actually counting it twords the stars but I felt that some of the lines, events, I'm not sure how to describe it, I'm not a writer for a reason. But they didn't seem true. Like when North shifted into the partial wolf/human form, Kiara mentions that it was different then before. But I don't remember him ever shifting in front on her. I remember him trying and getting upset because they were hoping, finding their mate would be what aloud it to happen. But like I said it could be my own memory betraying me. This is what I get for not making notes.

Other then that, the book, the series, it was great!

I skim read this in less than an hour mainly because I just wanted to know about her stupid dream that got mentioned a million times in the the previous books & the ending. Otherwise I was done with this series. I lost interest last book. I will say it read like a bad action movie. There were two different places where even skim reading I started singing that Team America Montage song in my head. I think had the author not tried to make this into a trilogy, she could have had one really good book instead of one average & two sub par books.

Phew, that was crazy! From the beginning of the book to the end, this book was an absolute whirlwind. Things seemed a little touch and go with Kiara for awhile with the aftermath of Roanac’s bloodletting. This dude needs to go and what better way to try and make that happen with an army of supernaturals! I loved every minute of this book and the spice was not cut out by any means. Great ending to Kiara’s story!

Final Book

I enjoyed the final book in this series. It was good and the spice was awesome. All the previous issues are wrapped up in this final book. Also, it was awesome to see the different species of the supernatural come together to fight for not just themselves but everyone. I appreciate the ending of this series and I am looking forward to whatever Sadie releases in the future.

Eh

Over all not a bad ending. I didn't hate this series, but I didn't love it either. I felt like I never understood why North couldn't shift. I felt the battle was a little underwhelming considering the build up. It also felt like their entire personal connection with each other were completely sex based. I wanted the soul longing with my mate connections. The sex scenes were believable which was nice.

First of all what the heck happened to Donovan because they didn't show him being punished and killed❗❓
OMG... I should have known there would have been a hidden Fae community; otherwise what would have been the point of having those dreams if there wasn't ❣️
I also wonder what adventures Kiara and her mates are going to get up to in the future ❓

This was such an enjoyable series arc that I'm definitely going to read about Willow and her mates ❣️❣️❣️

The stakes are meant to be high and yet the villain has never been shown to be as ruthless as it is said to be by characters. None of them have shared what destruction of his they have witnessed, it’s just repeated that he’s terrible and will destroy everything. The repetition in inner monologue continues, stating things about characters rather than showing it through actions and reactions. Towards the end we start to see some character development.

Queen of the Dark is the third and final book in this series. Kiara and her guys - North, Cain and Raven have their work cut out for them with all the complications Roanac brings and forging alliances with other Supernaturals. It was a brilliant conclusion with all the loose ends tied up perfectly. A great read

Perfect ending

A perfect ending to an enthralling series. Kiara and her guys all get their happy endings, individually and together. There's a lot of action, a lot of steam and a lot of thrills and anticipation leading up to their big battle. This author never fails to entertain with her works and I very much look forward to more great works in the future. 😍

“Queen of the Dark” is the final book and it was awesome. I love where this book picks up. We all know they are going to have a final showdown with Roanac and they can’t do it alone. Some of the gang has to face their past and there were some huge surprises. I loved this and definitely recommend the series.

Great conclusion to the series.

I have to admit, it took a lot of courage for Kiara to choose as she did. But it all paid off in the end. Finding allies in unexpected places, discovering new power, forging new friendships -this books has it all.

WOW!!!

This was an awesome ending. It brought on lots of emotional things. It also left it open for another adventure ahead if the author ever chooses to write it. I love these characters so much that I'd love to have more.

Queen of the Dark, the third book of the Claimed by Monsters series, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). Interesting plot twists and character traits made this book of the series a great read. More cohesion and stronger focus on team work gave this story a boost.

Great read!

I really liked the story and the characters. I think the only thing I disliked about the whole series is it's too short. I wish there was more . If you're looking for a steamy novel with action this is it!
