They await is turn to return to hell.

Humans are the bad guys here.
They have no respect for women, while the Leviathans worship them.

Okay I’m sad that I wasn’t so into this book.. idk what happened I love the cover it was creepy spooky that drew me in. But idk something didn’t click for me.
Cato Aedan and Geralt are monsters kings locked away in prison they are to bring the apocalypse down on everyone. They are getting a Magpie to release the tension and well when then “virgin” magpie is tossed inside all bets are off when they smell and feel this woman is their mate. lleana is feisty and her own agenda but I won’t give that part away. She’s being used, given pleasure by her men. And between all 3 monster boy it was hot.
When you find out Lleana true goal I was shocked and wish maybe it was more longer to connect more with the group.

I don't even know how I found this book. I had just finished a book for the evening and I somehow stumbled upon this little novella.
I am going to be honest and say I wish there was more. I was getting into Cato, Aedan, and Geralt…their plight, and their desire for their little Magpie… and the twist and the end was FANTASTIC, I didn’t see that coming at all.
My only complaint is I wished there had been more after the twist… I was totally invested and I wanted more of this story! A great short dark steamy read and I will look into other books by this author!

Popped up on the newsletter and clicked for the cover, its awesome. Three monsters limited by cuffs and a sacrifice to calm them. Until the last chapter it was pretty straight forward and then the twist where the weak is actually the strong. I'm looking forward to more.

A great surprise
I genuinely did not expect so much character to come through in a *spicy* novella like this but I was surprised. The men felt alpha but genuine, she was naive but cunning. Lots to love in a short read, and I can't wait to see where the story picks up next

This was too short.

This is the first time I read a “smutvella” by Evie and Rhea. This is part of the Birds of a Feather series that are standalone dark paranormal novellas.
Magpie’s Song is a reverse harem that brings the story of a magpie (member of a cult) and three Leviathan who were imprisoned when they escaped Hell with a legion of demons. There they are brought a human (you know what for) and they instantly feel the connection. The story is told in multiple POV and it is quite hot. I wasn’t expecting for a plot twist, but I got one either way. I will check the other books of this series for sure.

I really enjoyed this short, steamy novella set in a supernatural prison. I loved the alphas’ reaction when they realized the significance of this particular magpie and what she meant for their future. I also liked the brotherhood between these leviathan-demons as they demonstrated their superiority despite their incarceration. The story is well-written with some dark romance elements, coarse language, brutality and an intense MFMM encounter, but no MM action.

This is a short steamy PNR novella set in a supernatural prison and featuring three possessive demons and a magpie. This one is light on the plot and heavy on the heat, but definitely awesome for what it is. There's a great twist at the end as well, so absolutely pick it up if you're in the mood for a quick and steamy story.

This was short and smutty and exactly as described. There wasn’t much backstory but it wasn’t needed, the men were savage but gentle. The Magpie was fierce but loving. It all really worked together and I enjoyed reading it!
It was a little near the mark, trigger warning wise, but it wasn’t as bad as other books I’ve read. This was a fun dark romance and fits the description well.

Magpie's Song by Rhea Watson and Evie Kent is such a scrumptious, delicious little morsel of a read that I devoured in one sitting! And then proceeded to read again. Seriously, so addictive! And these characters? UNF!
Cato is controlling, a thinker, a planner, a leader.
Aedan is quick to act, to anger, to feel, to fight. Yet he's also playful, a bit of a joker, and has a lot to give.
Geralt is tough and rough and always ready for a fight yet a teddy bear on the inside.
All of them vicious, demanding, out of this realm presences that captivate you and make you squirm, and I loved every minute of it! The connection, the chemistry between them and their magpie sizzling and crackling and simmering and sparking!
Ileana is feisty and fiery and courageous and brave and endearing in her sass.
This is a tasty, deviant, delicious, fast paced paranormal romance, that will whet your appetite for more! Come to the dark side!
I need more of the Birds of a Feather world, and cannot wait to see what comes next!

This story was delicious and I can’t help but want more! This story is about three blood brothers that are part leviathan and part demon. When they decided to break through to earth they didn’t expect to get caught and thrown in a supernatural jail. Magpies are women who are suppose to be sacred and treated well. They were women who would be sent to tame the wild beasts of the prison. Unfortunately the magpies were often abused and taken advantage of. Well most were until one very special one changes things. This is a spicy, short paranormal romance that had a pretty good amount of world building and plot considering its length. We get a really good feel for the guys, their dynamic between the three of them, and their personalities. I really wanted to know more about our leading lady and the ending seemed a bit rushed. I would have loved to get more of her back story as well as maybe an epilogue. I really hope we get more from these characters!

When I saw Watson came out with a super spicy novella I was very excited! I picked it up immediately after receiving her newsletter.
This is a fast past RH stand-alone - I can’t say much as one of the little things I enjoyed about this book was the twist in the final chapter. This book also offers one chapter in each characters POV, which, being that it’s so short was a great idea!
As expected with Watsons work, we get a lot of depth and imagery in this short read that I was rather impressed with. The book does end a tad abruptly for me, which is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I personally like a little epilogue action even with my novellas, however, we do still get a nice ending.
This is a great book to pick up between series or if you need a palette cleanser with something a little dark and definitely spicy. I can’t wait to see what other novellas come out of this new story line!

Magpie's Song is a terrific combination of sexy, dark, twisted, and surprising. I always expect to like anything I read by any of this author's pen names, so it was no surprise that I loved these characters and the world created for them. What's surprising is that she created all this in so few pages. Seriously, less than 100 pages, maybe an hour's read time, yet it feels like a novel. Granted, there would be more detail in a novel, but I still had a good picture in my head of this supernatural prison and the encounter between 3 Leviathans and a Magpie. We get a chapter in each character's point of view, and it's deliciously dark and sexy as these Leviathans realize they've found their mate. Things even take a turn that's a different kind of dark, one that I didn't see coming - and it moved this sexy "smutvella" up another notch in my opinion. I don't know what's next for this series, but I can't wait to see where it goes from here.

DNF (did not finish). What made the book unfinishable in your opinion?
This was not a good book. I stopped at the 57% mark. I felt like this book was trying too hard to not be just an erotica. However, it would have been better as pure smutty erotica. The author goes into too much detail telling us what's going on in the world they're building without showing. Those love interests are supposedly badass demons, that were captured and imprisoned, then are sent a sacrificial virgin to have their wicked way with, oh and it turns out that she's their mate. Honestly the author would have done better with less lore and world building if she wanted to make it an erotica. Or the author should have built up the world with a more concrete story line and made the book length longer. I contemplated rating this at a 2 but I decided to give it an average rating. I really can't suggest this one to anyone unless you have a reverse harem demon fetish.

Evie and Rhea have delivered a steamy, fast paced monster read steeped in darkness that will leave you desperate for more.
Ileana is not what she seems, a sweet virginal Magpie volunteer who's there to service the monsters of this dark prison.
Cato, Aedan and Geralt are stuck in this supernatural prison and offered a Magpie from the order to satisfy their needs but they did not expect her to be their mate. I loved each of these monsters who are foretold the bring about Armageddon but now all that matters is claiming their mate.
This is a shot, steamy exciting read full of lust and vengeance, I can't wait for the next one in the Birds of a Feather Series.

Great introduction to a new universe
The blurb describes this standalone as a smutvella and after reading it I was disappointed that it was a standalone smutvella. I enjoyed the introduction to the world that Evie and Rhea created and I wish that there was even more.
Somehow in this short novella the authors completely enraptured you with these characters, this world and their story. The story is good on its own but I would’ve liked even more so that I could learn about the characters, their history and their future together.
I’m looking forward to reading more about this universe and seeing where the authors take us.

Smutty Short
Wow they’ve certainly got the tag line right for this one!!
There’s 4 chunky chapters with each one being told from a different character perspective.
The first three are the men and boy oh boy do we get an insight into their j/p nature as well as their devotion and dedication to their chosen mate. And when they consummate that choice, oh it’s good!
The final chapter is from our Magpies POV and well I certainly did not see that revelation!!
This short is definitely worth a quick read!

A must read if you love this author!
This short story was so good and steamy, it was easy to devour! The characters are intriguing and I love the idea behind what they are and the bit of lore we get. Keep in mind, this was written by the author for a bit of fun and way to explore more/new worlds without having to write a full book. I personally loved it, sometimes I want to read something thats short and to the point with a subplot, and this was EXACTLY that! Do I want more? Obviously! I love Rhea Watsons work and I always want more of her books. But this really was perfect, the ending was great, not at all what I was expecting and so exciting!
This is definitely perfect if you have a set goal of books to read each year. The author plans on releasing more of these short type of stories, which I'm SO excited for. I'll definitely be reading them as they come out!

This was a super short & spicy novella that I really quite enjoyed!
The story takes place in a prison for the supernatural, where three leviathan brothers are being held captive.
When the inmates are given an evening to spend with a Magpie, who’s sole purpose is to please them and be used however the inmates like, the brothers are surprised by the instant connection they feel towards the human girl. Once they’ve marked her as their own, they swear to do anything to protect her and vow to worship her for eternity. But first they have to free her from her order and find a way to break out of their prison cell.
If you’re looking for a quick, spicy read and enjoy fated mates and darker themes, then I’d recommend this novella!

Un libro corto de demonios, ángeles caídos, leviatánes y monstruos.
Si bien me gustó el libro, encuentro que estuvo muy cargado de información para ser corto, sin dejar procesar al lector todo, por lo que uno queda entendiendo a medias.
Se nos presenta a estos tres híbridos de leviatanes y demonios encarcelados, esperando a su urraca, para ser usada por ellos. Al momento de ella entrar, los tres saben que es su compañera, su compañera virgen. Luego de unas calientes escenas, nuestra urraca, Ileana, es sacada del lugar, pero se nos da la gran sorpresa al revelarnos que ella en verdad es un ángel caído.

I am very intrigued by the series that this reverse harem romance between mythical creatures opened up. However, this book was just forgettable and I don't know if it hooked me enough to keep tabs on when the first book comes out. I do have to say that the descriptions of the romance in the next books sound amazing. Extra point because the smut was fun and because they're head over heels with her.

Ms. Watson's best writing yet
I read this in one sitting. That was how amazing the detail of her world building is. It's not the cinnamon bun that a lot of other authors I read write. Some times you need some spicy meat and that's exactly what this is. A dangerous world full of powerful goddesses and males. And they express love a little more physically rough than in other stories. I want to read more about this world and the characters in it. I'm team Geralt, but team Aed

This was absolutely perfection. I could not put it down. It was a short and intriguing look into a whole new world and I for one cannot wait to read everything and anything set in this universe. I was absolutely captivated from the very first moment. This really was monster RH Romanced at its best.
I adored the monsters and loved that we got a window into their souls first, and that last chapter? That really was incredible and was the perfect ending to this short and spicy read.
