There are two things you need to know about me. 1: I’m never late. And 2: I hate Christmas. Yes, I’m a girl who hates the holidays.

My entire, enormous family is already enjoying their holiday vacation in Iceland, but thanks to my busy job and having to meet them there, I’m late. They could have chosen any holiday to fly across the world, but Christmas won, which sent me scrambling because the end of the year is my busiest time. It’s difficult to carve out moments to see the family at all.

So, now, I’m forty thousand feet in the air, trying to get to Iceland before Christmas morning, all while also attempting to get some work done. If only the hot guy next to me would leave me be.

Dylan says I should put the work away until after my holiday and relax a bit. And while his suggestion of spending some time together on the north Atlantic island seems preposterous, I can’t help but feel intrigued when he promises to show me how to enjoy the Yuletide season properly.

After all, I can’t possibly spend every minute with my family.

But how do I just shrug off my duty to my job and throw caution to the wind for a stranger...no matter how handsome he is? Because that’s something else about me: I never throw caution to the wind—even a beautiful, blustery Icelandic wind.

Then again, Mama always said, “Never say never…”

5 Star Review The Scramble (Single in Seattle #2.5) by Kristen Proby

Being back in the Montgomery world is like coming home to old friends and family. Ms. Proby has written a story that will draw you in and keep you riveted from the first chapter. The fact that The Scramble is written around the holidays was an added bonus since I love stories centered around the Christmas.
Maddie is a workaholic who hates Christmas (unbeieveable I know) but still finds herself on a plane flying to Iceland to meet up with her family for Christmas. Meeting the hot as sin Dylan on the flight, he tempts her, after ail she cant be with her family all the time can she?
Can a holiday fling morph in to more? Dylan is determined to show Maddie that there is more to life than working. I loved the connection that these two shared and it was entertaining and heart warming to watch their relationship develop.
This may be a novella but Ms.Proby packed a lot into it.

3.25/5 stars! So let me lead by saying this is my first read by this author and I normally avoid my first content by an author being a novella. Novellas are tough because you're squeezing so much content into a condensed space. Because of this, there were some points where I was fully turned off by the lack of believability of the story. That being said, you can tell the author is a talented writing and her writing style was strong. For me, this was an average, but slightly unbelievable story. But I'm very interested to read more by this author and see how that goes.

Kristen Proby’s With Me in Seattle continues to expand in this spinoff series-Single in Seattle the explores the romances of the next generation. I have been reading Kristen Proby sinew the start of the With Me in Seattle series and am always left feeling light and happy, like I was wrapped in a big comforting hug. With this installment, Proby charms and delights and gives readers a sexy and sweet holiday romance, perfect for a quick read that will put you in the holiday spirit. I love that Proby’s novels have an ease to them, they are quickly engaging, the characters are fun, the story is fast paced, and at the heart of each is a familial group of blood relations and friend relations that provide support for the hero or heroine and are always open and welcoming to the love interest. If you love a sweet romance with family and friends at the heart, Proby is the author for you! I definitely recommend this novella for anyone who loves this series and Proby’s works!

✨🎄This was a fun quick read and the second book into my journey of contemporary romance and holiday romance as well! The Scramble is a really fun insta lust chance airport meeting turned spicy vacation fling between Maddie and Dylan. Maddie is a workaholic nerd on a large Christmas family vacation to Iceland. She definitely needs Dylan’s brand of relax, especially when that turns of so steamy right off the bat! I’d say that Maddie would be the semi grumpy to Dylan’s sunshine, he’s definitely a big softie who isn’t too shy to hide it even if her family is around. I loved that this duo took the time to really get to know each other, with lots of deep conversations so this didn’t feel rushed even though their romance was hot and heavy over what was supposed to be just a few days. It was really sweet and a great reminder of how seen people can feel when someone takes the time to care. Dylan’s character has a lot of love (and lust!) to give, and it’s clear that Maddie definitely deserved and needed it.

The narrator duo Mia Madison and Stephen Borne did a great job of bringing even more depth, and tension to the story. Their voices worked well together so that switching between narrators wasn’t in any way jarring. This was such a fun afternoon reading kick off to my Christmas season, and I would highly recommend to anyone who loves a steamy holiday happenstance romance that will have you wanting to see the HEA from chapter one! As always, this 1001 Dark Nights novella from Blue Box Press was super fun, and I’ll be gifting a few copies to my girlfriends this Christmas! It would be such a great travel read!🎄✨

✨🎄Thank you Brilliance Audio for the audiobook in exchange for my honest review! ✨🎄

Awwww… What an adorably sweet and sexy meet cute, holiday novella!!! The perfect Christmasy little read! Maddie and Dylan’s chance meeting on the flight to Iceland went from instant attraction to some steamy romance and holiday escapades that were just as memorable as the northern lights itself!

Workaholic Maddie learnt to enjoy life so much more with travel writer Dylan, in this irresistible and addictive holiday themed tale. I loved these two from the get go, I couldn’t ask for a better ‘opposites attract’ love story.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Ms. Proby once again delivered a must read, perfect holiday novella, to leave us even more addicted to her extraordinary writing. And the cameo of one of my all time favourite families, the Montgomery, was just the perfect spoonful of whipped cream on top of this heartwarming hot chocolate of read, so much so that, even though we have magic of an HEA, I can’t wait to see more Maddie and Dylan in all the upcoming Single In Seattle stories!

“Do you always get what you want?”

I tilt my head to the side, thinking it over. “Pretty much. The important things, anyway. And I’ve decided that this is very important.”

This little story was just what the doctor prescribed. It was fun, hit and heavy, but also swoony and sweet.

Maddie has lived her life rather sheltered, because she feels like she is not funny or pretty enough. But when she boards a plane that will take her to my dream destination( Iceland) she never expected to find her HEA on it.

Dylan is traveling to Iceland because of work. He's drawn to Maddie from the first time he sees her. They decided to spend the vacation together and leave it at that, but love works in mysterious ways and when they return home, they find out that sometimes it only take a week to find your soulmate and HEA.

I always love going back to the Montgomery Family - especially during the Holidays!

When the family travels to Iceland - Maddie didn’t expect to stay more than 24 hours and she didn’t definitely didn’t expect to meet Dylan on her flight there.

Her 24 hours ends up being a week and Dylan ends up being the best gift she’s ever given herself… But it’s only a holiday fling right?

Maddie and Dylan have an instant connection and it’s fun to tag along with them through Iceland and their growing relationship. I loved this short story just wished it was longer!

Going back to this series and these families is always a treat.

I can't help but feel nostalgic and bittersweet whenever I read them again. With Me In Seattle has a special place in my heart, and reading about the kids is like living all those cozy feelings again from when I started this journey with Come Away With Me.

Dylan and Maddie's story was sweet and sexy, matching perfectly with the brand of this series. They were adorable and their connection was addicting.

Add Christmas to all that and you're set for the rest of the year.

Insta-lust, vacation fling at its finest!

When shy, nerdy accountant Maddie finally takes time off work for a 24-hr whirlwind family vacation in Iceland, she never dreamed what the trip would have in store for her. Enter her flight seatmate Dylan. He has one overseas fight to convince Maddie that she needs more of a break and what better way to take a break than to see the sights of Iceland with him. With the help of Maddie’s family and the beauty of Iceland, he convinces her to stay for the week. You’ll have to read for yourself to see if he can convince her to give even more than that!

I loved this holiday short by Kristen Proby. The Montgomery family was my first foray into connected series romance way back when (2012 I think!). To say that I’m still in love with this family is an understatement. The truth is that I fall even more in love with them each time. From the siblings, to the cousins, to now the kids, Kristen keeps reimagining this family in new and exciting ways to the delight of readers both old and new. I relate to Maddie on so many levels and it was delightful to see her and Dylan navigate through the labels that they put on themselves. As always, wait for the next one.

THE SCRAMBLE by Kristen Proby is a contemporary, adult, erotic, romance novella found in the author’s SINGLE IN SEATTLE series, a spin off from the author’s WITH ME IN SEATTLE series, and a part of the 1001 Dark Nights. This is accountant Maddie Montgomery, and travel blogger Dylan’s story line. THE SCRAMBLE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Maddie is Caleb and Brynna’s daughter (Safe with Me/With Me in Seattle).

Told from dual first person perspectives (Maddie and Dylan) with a final chapter from Caleb, THE SCRAMBLE follows Maddie Montgomery as she embarks on a family trip to Iceland, where she will meet her future in the guise of Dylan, a travel blogger, who convinces our heroine to extend her stay beyond twenty-four hours. As the Montgomery family celebrate the Christmas holidays in Europe, Maddie struggles to let go of her work until Dylan proves to Maddie there is more to life than accounting and numbers. What ensues is the quick building romance and relationship between Maddie and Dylan, and the potential fall-out as their time together comes to a close.

The relationship between Dylan and Maddie is one of immediate attraction, acted upon in the ‘mile-high’ club. Staying at the same hotel as the Montgomery family, Dylan sets into motion a plan to seduce our story line heroine, never thinking she would steal his heart in the process. The $ex scenes are intimate, seductive and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters, most of whom we have met in the original WITH ME IN SEATTLE series.

THE SCRAMBLE is a fast paced story of family and relationships, the holidays and love. The premise is entertaining, fun and frenetic; the romance is provocative and passionate; the characters are energetic and charismatic.

Maddie & Dylan ... a Christmas romance

I love hanging with the Montgomerys and their extended family, this time it's even better ... it's Christmas. THE SCRAMBLE is Maddie Montgomery's story, and it is filled with fun, family, laughter, Christmas cheer, and romance.

Maddie hates Christmas, it falls at the wrong time of the year, her busy time. Maddie's an accountant and a workaholic, vacations don't even register on her radar. So, when her uncle Luke asks her to get on a plane and join the family in Iceland for Christmas she agrees, thinking it will be a quick 24 hour turnaround. Dylan is on his way to Iceland for some down time as well as doing some research for his job. He was not expecting to meet a woman who takes his breath away.

Maddie and Dylan have an instant connection ... a red hot and spicy one!!! During their flight Dylan attempts to convince Maddie that all work and no play is not good for her, she needs to spend some time with her family, have some fun. Their characters are a contradiction to normal romance characters, Maddie is the closed off one, while Dylan is the one trying to bring some happiness into her life. I adored both of them, their friendship developed quickly, but it was their banter and the in-depth conversations that made it feel less rushed. They had a natural chemistry that clicked when they met, and this was apparent with their spiciness and heat. Will their romance just be a vacation fling, or will they find themselves wanting more?

Once again Kristen has given her readers a "Seattle" story they will want to devour, I know I did!! When favourite characters from previous stories are included you just know that it is going to be another laughter filled read.

THE SCRAMBLE is the perfect read for Christmas.

Maddie Montgomery is an accountant and she never takes any time off for herself. The entire Montgomery/Williams clan is flying out to Iceland for Christmas and New Year's and Maddie has no choice but to show up. While sitting in first class, she meets Dylan who's a travel writer sitting next to her and they strike up a conversation. Maddie who's known as the shy one in her family decides to do something she's never done before and joins the mile high club with Dylan. The minute Dylan saw Maddie sitting next to him, he knew that he had to talk to her and after they talk and have sex in the bathroom, Dylan knows that Maddie is going to spend time with him in Iceland. Once they land and they have each other's information, Maddie and Dylan go their separate ways. Even though Maddie is on vacation, she's still working and her family wants her to relax and enjoy herself. I loved how much this family loved one another and encouraged everyone to be themselves. Dylan was in Iceland for work and but also to enjoy himself but having Maddie there, he knows that he has to show her around. Maddie and Dylan spent plenty of time together getting to know each other and having lots of sex. Maddie spends a great week in Iceland with her family and with Dylan. Once she gets back to Seattle, things change with her work and for the first time in a long time, Maddie is doing something for herself. Dylan being back in Seattle as well tracks down Maddie and tells her how he really feels about her and wants more. I loved this novella, we got to see the entire Montgomery/Williams clan and how the love to spend the holidays. Maddie got to meet a wonderful man in Dylan and get her HEA. I loved the epilogue in Caleb Montgomery's POV and that man truly loves his daughters.

Thank you Kristen Proby for helping me get into the Christmas season. Life has been a bit of a blah, but your story left me smiling. Your story had me giddy over new love. Your story reminded me of the joy and love of family. You have shown me home for the holidays is not the place but the people.

The "With Me in Seattle" characters have been in my heart for a very long time. Being able to visit them during the holidays reminded me of all the feels they create. Learning a little about Iceland was a bonus I won't soon forget.

Luke Williams sees that his family, his extended family, is getting older. Special moments won't last forever. His solution was brilliant--bring everyone together for Christmas in Iceland. No interruptions. Lots of family fun. Lots of bonding, but not too much.

Too bad Maddie wasn't thrilled with the idea. Once a obsessive workaholic, always an obsessive workaholic. Giving her family Christmas day was all she was willing to sacrifice. Who knew a flight in first class would change everything? Who know a simple sigh could make such a difference.

On the other side of Maddie's barrier sits Dylan. Maddie sits in an office all day and into the night, while he travels the world sharing the love of adventure. Maddie is in for the adventure of her life as Dylan shows her how to live and love. Maddie may have gotten the best Christmas gift ever, but I think the story was just as much of a gift for me.

The Scramble is full of happiness. The Scramble is full of love. The Scramble is full of family. The Scramble is the epitome of Christmas to me.

What a fun and sexy start to this book with Maddie and Dylan as they are heading toward Iceland, for a vacation and work, maybe a work vacation. I love seeing the kids all grown up and dealing with work and trying to make time for family and being on a long plane ride when they feel like they should be back home working and her seat mate Dylan pops in as a distraction for Maddie in more ways than one. I loved this story and of course the Montgomery family is always fun when everyone gets together and this time its Christmas in Iceland for everyone. The author did a great job in describing the location and the Northern Lights, it is definitely on my bucket list at some point, but it was fun to visit through this great story. It was interesting watching Maddie trying to split her time with her family and still wanting to see Dylan and how Dylan found his place during the cousin’s night on the trip. I’ve always loved Brynna but her comment to Maddie when she mentions her time back in school and being somewhat bullied and she tells her, ‘But next time someone tells you you’re too much, you tell them to go find less’. Perfect for anyone who has been in her shoes. Another wonderful story from beginning to end and I love how each of them were thinking about the other when they returned home from the trip and how everything sort of fell into place. I also enjoy the epilogues with the father meeting the boyfriend for the first time and with Caleb he made a comment that was perfect when meeting Dylan, ‘but, sometimes, a person comes into our lives and unlocks something that we’ve had hidden away for a while’. So excited for the next story.

The huge Montgomery family is reunited once more, this time in Iceland, where they are going to spend Christmas.
In an emotional speech, Luke Williams thanks everyone for being there, and says how happy he is, after all, no one is getting any younger, and grandparents are still among them (which gives us a clear idea that the author intends to start killing the older characters. Painful, isn't it? But that's life taking its course).

Maddie Montgomery, one of Brynna and Caleb's twin daughters, was not in the festive mood.
As an accountant, she knows this period is crucial for the company, and she hates leaving work undone.
Already on the plane (first class, of course), she travels alongside an attentive and friendly man, who makes it clear that he wants to get to know her better during the period they are at the same resort in Iceland.

The family vacation week ends up becoming a vacation fling, much to Dylan's dismay, who wants so much more from Maddie.
The couple connects well, and when they return home to Seattle, they show that they want to continue getting to know each other.

I enjoyed reading The Scramble by Kristen Proby, I've loved reading her Single in Seattle series but honestly I've been a little disappointed that both Josie and Maddie have only rated novellas. Don't get me wrong both novellas were well written but I felt that both of them were just a little to short and at times it seemed like everything was jam packed in. But that might just me always wanting longer books when it comes to family sagas like this.
The part of The Scramble that I felt was missing was through out the book other characters seemed to talk about Maddie's personality and her liking to work, be by herself, and just be a general homebody was because of something that happened to her. For one they never really said what it was that "changed" Maddie. Like it wasn't an ex that hurt her, it wasn't her losing someone she was close to, nothing that I could tell. But at the same time I was like well why do they have to make it seem like there has to be a reason she's an introverted homebody. There's nothing wrong with enjoying being home and not enjoying going out and partying. So I just didn't understand why they had to make it seem like being like that is a problem.
I really liked Maddie and Dylan as a couple. They were well matched in some aspects and complimented one another as well. I also enjoyed seeing the Montgomery/Williams family Christmas in Iceland that they've been talking about in several of the Single in Seattle books. Honestly they might have talked about it in all of the books so far.

I was pulled right into this short story. The story has secrets, love, and heartbreak.

The below books are part of a different series but linked to this series by family if you are interested in reading those books(s) first
Come Away with Me (With Me in Seattle, #1)
Under the Mistletoe with Me (With Me in Seattle, #1.5)
Fight with Me (With Me in Seattle, #2)
Play with Me (With Me in Seattle, #3)
Rock with Me (With Me in Seattle, #4)
Safe with Me (With Me in Seattle, #5)
Tied with Me (With Me in Seattle, #6)
Breathe with Me (With Me in Seattle, #7)
Forever with Me (With Me in Seattle, #8)
The Secret (Single in Seattle #1)
The Scandal (Single in Seattle #2)

This is Maddie and Dylan’s story. Maddie is all on her way to see her family at Christmas. While she loves her family, she absolutely hates Christmas. Lots of people consider her a workaholic. She is working while on the way to see her family when the person next to her keeps bugging her about relaxing. Dylan is drawn to Maddie and wants her to see that there is more to life than working. Can he show her what else she could be doing with her time? Or will she blow him off to work? Can she really do other things instead of work? Can she figure out what is more important to her before she loses something she might not be able to get back?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

For anyone looking to try a new author or series but unsure where to start I cannot recommend the 1’001 Dark Nights series strongly enough. They have never let me down at great detriment to both my TBR and my bank balance.

While I’ve read Kristen Proby’s books before I haven’t come across her Single in Seattle series but now, after reading The Scramble I’m kicking myself. I love the Montgomery’s and right now I’m trying to figure out a way to get them to adopt me. I’m not usually a huge fan of Christmas themed books, I find them just a bit too Hallmark movie for my taste but this book hit just the right spot as workaholic Maddie grudgingly boards a flight to Iceland to spend Christmas with her extended family when she meets fellow passenger travel writer, Dylan not realising just how much he’s going to turn her life on its head as he encourages to find a balance between work and play beginning with joining the mile high club. This was a quick read and a case of instalove even if they don’t realise it at the time but there is an instant connection between Maddie and Dylan as well as some seriously hot chemistry hence the mile high club. Loaded with a large cast of secondary, more than a few that will be familiar to some readers, The Scramble was a great quick read. I’ll definitely be looking out for more from this series.

One of my favorite things about the Montgomery family is that it's so big! This gives me hope that Kristen Proby has many more stories to tell about some of my all-time best-loved characters, because every adventure with them is literally one for the books. Case in point, THE SCRAMBLE, the latest novella in Kristen's Single in Seattle series.

Like all of the Montgomery women, Maddie is strong, savvy, and committed to her king-sized family, the last of which has her on a flight to Iceland to spend Christmas with them. The last thing that she's expecting is to meet a man, especially one that will have her stepping outside of her comfort zone in so many ways.

Dylan is a great match for Maddie, getting her to try new things, to make time to enjoy life, and to reevaluate the life that she's living. Best of all, though, he truly likes Maddie for who she is, and is key in her being able to come out of the shell that she's developed over the years. As a couple, they are supportive, sweet, and definitely steamy.

Insta-love doesn't always do it for me, but it just works in Maddie's and Dylan's case. And while THE SCRAMBLE takes place at Christmastime, it is the perfect little taste of sugar and spice for anytime, and a great next link in the Montgomery chain that will leave you happy and ready for more. ❤️

Kristen Proby's "Single in Seattle" spinoff series "Single in Seattle", continues to shine with the enticing novella "The Scramble" that is both sweet and steamy. Set against the charming backdrop of Iceland, the story follows Maddie and Dylan, two characters whose chance meeting on a flight turns into an unforgettable holiday fling. Proby's writing effortlessly captures the chemistry between the seemingly opposites - Maddie's cautious nature contrasting with Dylan's outgoing warmth. Their connection, while intense, develops naturally over deep conversations and sizzling romantic moments.

The novella not only delivers a delightful romance but also explores personal growth and self-discovery, especially for Maddie, who learns to shed her insecurities. The vivid descriptions of Iceland's beauty add an extra layer of magic to the story. The supporting characters, including familiar faces from the larger series, enrich the narrative and provide a sense of community.

In conclusion, "The Scramble" is a wonderful addition to the "Single in Seattle" series, offering a heartwarming holiday romance that will leave readers with a smile. Proby's ability to combine love, growth, and a touch of magic creates a truly engaging read that is perfect for anyone seeking a captivating escape into the world of romance.

The Scramble is a Single in Seattle novella and part of the 1001 Dark Nights series. You can absolutely read it as a standalone but I have warn you… You will want to read the rest of the series.

Maddie Montgomery needed to work but instead she was on a flight to Iceland to meet her family for Christmas. She had twenty-fours hours to spend with them and even then she thought about work. That was until a man in the pod next to her in first-class distracted her. He was flirty, hot AF, a total sweetheart and also a man who made her laugh. He wants more time with her, he only has to convince her stay for the week…

Once that is done… It’s on! A vacation fling might just be what the doctor ordered for this workaholic but what will happen when it ends?

Loved, loved, loved this story! It’s fast but packs a punch. It is such a fun and sexy read. It is also what family goals are all about. I loved catching up with all of them.

Quotes:

“It really is a fine ass,” I agree, turning everyone’s attention to me.
“Don’t make us beat the shit out of you on Christmas, dude,” Drew says.

“I’ll be doing the biting around here, sweetheart. As soon as we settle this.”

“I could tell you everyone’s names, but you’ll never remember them all, and it usually takes spreadsheets and graphs.”

It’s always a treat to head back into the Seattle Montgomery world and check in with some favorite characters. This is a novella in the new spin-off series that is letting us into the lives of the original character’s kids and I’m completely here for it.

Maddie is on her way to Iceland to join the entire Montgomery clan for a Christmas holiday when she meets Dylan on the plane. She’s been devoted to her job as an accountant and has not taken any time for herself to just enjoy life, but Dylan changes all of that for her. They have an instant connection with each other and take the time to join the mile high club, which is quite an uncharacteristic experience for Maddie. Dylan insists Maddie give him her phone number and later, along with her family, convinces her to stay in Iceland for the entire week. They spend most of their time together and quickly realize that this may be more than just a holiday fling.

Although this is a short story, Ms. Proby manages to pack a lot into it. The story is sweet, the characters have good chemistry and there are sexy times aplenty. This was the perfect read to get me in the mood for the upcoming Holiday season and revisiting the Montgomery clan is always like getting to spend time with old friends.

I love a great holiday novella and this one did not disappoint. For Kristen Proby fans, you know this wild and crazy family and we have read about the upcoming holiday trip to Iceland. Well, now we finally get the story from the POV of Maddie and Dylan.

Maddie is a workaholic and didn't even want to go to Iceland to celebrate Christmas. She gave in to her family, offering them a whopping 24 hours, before it was time to turn around and go back home and to work. The plane trip to Iceland turned into an eventful opportunity to let her hair down for a minute, and Dylan, the lucky man with the seat next to hers, got to give her that opportunity.

One thing leads to another, and Maddie stays in Iceland for several days, which allows her and Dylan to continue the fun they started on the plane. This trip meant more to Maddie than she knew and the ability to open up and be herself was just the opportunity she needed to find herself.

I am such of fan of everything Kristen Proby writes, and this story was added to the list of holiday favorites. Thank you for bringing us back to the Mongomery clan and allowing us the opportunity to spend the holiday with them!

The Scramble by Kristen Proby is set standalone novella set in the author’s Single in Settle world

Maddie and Dylan meet on a plane in transit to Iceland for the holiday (part of the reason this is so easily read standalone is that these two meet as you open the book so no missed backstory)

Maddie Montgomery is the quiet workaholic who legit needed her arm twisted just to join everyone on the family vacation.

Maddie find herself sitting in First Class next to Dylan …. and man if you love insta-love this story will have you at Hello…. Proby does a great job at having the reader feel the connection.

Maddie and Dylan turn this plane meeting into a weekend fling into a well… read the book!

I will add I adore Luke’s holiday gathering speech….. it is a true testament to family and so perfect as it comes from the hero who launched this author’s career. Oh if you have not read Come Away with Me I highly recommend you read it!

The epilogue.. of the epilogue… truly made this book for me… the POV at the end brought me right back to Safe With Me a book that will forever hold a place in my heart!

Nope, not telling read the book

Whenever this author brings out a new book, I'm all for it and when it is one that has a connection to one of my favorite series, the With Me series, it's even better. I loved the chemistry between Maddie & Dylan but also the feel of the story. A goodfeel story but also one that was easy to read. I was a bit sad it wasn't too long but I easily fell for all of the characters in the book. Can't wait to see what is next in store!

Maddie has been a workaholic for years but she loves her job as an accountant, even if not everyone agrees and think she should take some more time off. She's headed to Iceland to spend Christmas with her family and meets Dylan on the flight. They hit it off and since they are staying at the same place, they meet up when they can. Even though it's a holiday fling, it feels that there's something more between them. After the week's over, they both are headed home but can't seem to forget about one another. Maddie makes a big decision and her future is looking brighter. Will they find their way to each other in the end?...
