Daddy Dragon – 5 stars

This is the first story in a series about a group of dragons that live in the Everglades. Milo has a job at a bar and one night he picked up a woman who was a panther shifter. Some months later he wakes to find that a baby girl has been abandoned on his doorstep. Her mother is the panther shifter and apparently, Milo is the baby daddy. He panics and probably would have taken the baby to his family or something, but his next-door neighbor hears the child crying and comes over to find out what is going on.

Kate has had a crush on Milo for years. His sister was her best friend and she mooned over him every chance she got. Raised to be independent and capable of doing pretty much anything for herself, Kate has a satisfactory life, but she is still lonely at night. It doesn't help that MIlo lives right next door but has never shown any interest in her romantically. When she thinks she hears the sound of a baby wailing away next door, she goes to investigate and finds Milo in a state of shock. He suddenly has a baby daughter and has absolutely no idea what to do. She tells him to go to work and pick up baby supplies on his way home and she will stay with the child. She is sure once he has time to digest the event he will step up and be fine.

Milo is managing not to completely fall apart because he has Kate to help him out, but surely that can't go on forever. When his sister tells him to hire Kate as his nanny, he realizes that if she will take the job he won't feel so guilty about her taking care of the baby every day while he is gone. Kate does accept the position, but there is no way these two are going to be able to be just employer and employee. What is going to happen when they give in to the passion that is growing between them? And how are they going to handle it if the baby momma turns up and wants to play family with Milo and baby Rose?

Doctor Dragon – 4 stars

This installment to the series is about Milo's sister Sophia. Sophia left the Everglades to live in Dallas with the wolf shifter she thought was her soulmate. It took her a while to figure out that Jamie was not worth the time and effort she had put into trying to make a home for him. He was a useless manchild who gambled away his money and tried to sell her sexual favors to a man for more gambling money. She took her dragon form and headed back to Florida, barely making it before collapsing from exhaustion. Milo is worried about her and calls in her high school boyfriend who is now a doctor to check her out. Rob has been carrying a torch for her ever since they broke up but now he is in the awkward position of being her doctor and wanting to jump her bones. I will tell you no more cos you need to read it for yourself. It is a bit predictable but a sweet story nonetheless. Enjoy.

Professor Dragon – 5 stars

In this book, we meet anthropology professor and dragon shifter Liam who is currently teaching at a small liberal arts college near Miami. Since he has been at this location for some years, he knows it is about time to move on. The fact that he doesn't age eventually becomes a topic of conversation and he moves on and creates himself anew. For the first time, he is not looking forward to the changes that the move will bring. He has not only liked the college itself but the fact that he can visit his friends in the Everglades. His friends have been settling down in the area with their new mates and he yearns to join them in their happiness. If only he could find his mate too.

Erin took some time off from school after her less than stellar performance as a high school student. Though Erin is smart, she is also different. She loves to learn but somehow the subjects that she took in school never really grabbed her interest. She has found herself fascinated by anthropology and she worked hard to save the money to go to the college where one of her favorite writers on the subject is a professor. Liam Alders is the one who sparked her passion for anthropology when she was in her early teens. So what is the subject of her first question to him when she finally meets him? Sentient dragons.

So, a professor who has always avoided getting involved with a student is suddenly confronted with a student that he admires and whose company he enjoys. His dragon has stirred within him and demands that he get closer to her. What is he going to do?

Ranger Dragon – 5 stars

This time we get the story of Mike, a ranger for the park service, and Storm who is a wild Everglades dragon. Mike has recently become a single parent for his twin girls. His mate left them all in the dead of the night and went off to Atlanta to find a job and build a life. He had always thought they were soul mates, but now he can see that they never had the kind of joy that his friends have with their mates. He has taken on the assignment of checking out the more remote area of the Everglades, looking for evidence of poaching and such. Shifting back to his human form and settling into a tree to write up his notes, he is surprised when he catches a glimpse of a wild dragon swimming by. He is even more shocked when she comes back and shifts into human form to talk to him.

Not going to ruin the story for you. I am sure you can see the some of the problems these two will face. One of them lives mostly in the human world and has obligations to his family and friends, the other lives wild in the Everglades and knows little about the human world or anything to do with modern life. Can they manage to find some common ground and make a relationship work?

Single Daddy Dragon – 5 stars

This is Oliver's story. You may remember that he lives even further out in the Everglades than most of the dragons. His family is mostly gone now. One brother left to get away from the toxic attitude of their father and one brother is dead. Oliver is left with only his father who has been slowly fading away ever since his son's death. Oliver has decided that he wants to have a child but he doesn't have a mate. When he hears that there is a surrogate agency that is set up to cater to shifters he immediately applies.

You may remember Gloria from Milo's book. She is Rose's mother and she dumped Rose off with her father when her panther clan refused to accept a child that was a dragon-panther mix. Then she tried to get Milo to take her back so that her clan could take his piece of land. Now the clan leader, Gloria's mother, has decided that Gloria will act as a surrogate so that the clan can have the money she will be paid for the service. Gloria desperately wants the clan to accept her, rather than just tolerating her, so she agrees.

So, Oliver and Gloria are unaware of each other's ties to Milo. Oliver had requested a dragon surrogate but mistakenly got Gloria. How is this going to go over with Gloria's clan and Oliver's friends, not to mention his father who hates panthers? Find out how this tangle gets unraveled.

Officer Dragon – 5 stars

I enjoyed this book about a dragon shifter who has a one-night stand with a woman and wakes to find her gone. He was drunk when he hooked up with her, so he has no idea where to find her even though he thinks about her often. Imagine his surprise when he sees her heading right for him in a local park.

Naomi is a wolf-shifter with too much curiosity. When she sees lights on in a building where there should be none, she takes it upon herself to investigate. Bad move. Now she is being pursued by a bunch of dragons and is scared to lead them back to where her wolf pack is living in the city. She is at her wit's end when she sees the police officer sitting in the park. Her wolf seems to be relieved at the sight of him, but why? Then she realizes that she knows him, well sort of knows him. She spent one night in his arms and has never forgotten. How could she forget when she is reminded every time she looks at their son. The son he doesn't know about.

I won't spoil it for you. Enjoy.

Mentor Dragon – 5 stars

If you have been reading along in the series, you may remember Diana and Hunter. Hunter is one of the dragons that kidnapped Naomi in "Officer Dragon" and Diana is the social worker who got all four of the guys released with the promise of shifter justice vs human justice. She has assigned all of them mentors who will work to make them useful members of society - for the next ten years. Not being able to get Hunter to give her any indication of what he is interested in, she makes herself his mentor.

Hunter was part of the system for most of his life and he has zero use for anyone who works within it. He is determined to make things as difficult for Diana as he can, even if he has to do it for ten years. But then he gets involved with the teens in her latest project and finds himself wishing he had had a chance to be part of such a group. Then he goes out clubbing one night and meets a hot chick....

Firefighter Dragon 5 stars

This is James' story. James is one of the dragons that got in trouble with the law and Diana got him a mentor in the fire department. Though he is not a fireman, he makes himself useful around the fire house and dreams of the day he will be a real firefighter. He knows that he has to prove himself first and that the work he does is important as it means the actual firemen have more time to work out or rest when they are not on duty. While on a ride along, he ends up rescuing a woman and a baby from a burning basement. Though he gets suspended for his foolhardy actions, he finds himself unable to leave the woman's bedside. When she awakens with no memory of who she is or why she was at the house, James is determined to stay with her until she figures it all out. He suspects that she is a shifter and he wants to be sure she doesn't accidentally shift in a public place like the hospital.

Midlife Dragon - 5 stars

This book is about Evan and Laurel. Evan is the dragon shifter who lost his job as a police officer due to trusting the wrong person when he reported evidence of officers on the take. He desperately wants to rejoin the police force and Diana has set him up with a mentor at the police department. Laurel is a divorcee and the mother of Bridget (from the last book in the series). She has been drawn into the corruption at the department through no fault of her own and is only trying to protect the lives of her daughter and her grandson. She is tasked with keeping Evan and his friend Aaron from finding the evidence they need to prove the suspicions they have about the corruption on the force. So what is she going to do when she finds herself following for Evan?

I won't spoil the story for you. Enjoy.

Best Friend Dragon – 5 stars

Enjoyed Clarissa and Aaron's story. You may remember Clarissa from Officer Dragon. She was kidnapped by the four dragons that ended up in the mentor program, Aaron being one of them. She is also the sister of Ellis from the City of Dragons series. In this book we get a return visit to Volentis as Clarissa returns home after more than three years to visit her family. She asks Aaron to join her and even finds him an internship for six weeks with the IT wolf pack in the city.

Will Clarissa and Aaron figure out that they are mates and finally take their friendship to the next level? Can Clarissa stop her endless wandering and settle down and have a family of her own?

Dragon daddies of the Everglades

(I could have written this series with each book having half as many chapters.
series has too much fluff)
I Found myself skipping paragraphs didn’t miss a thing. It’s still a great series of stories. Author seems to over tell the stories. Too much info too much fluff. But skip some paragraphs still have a great series. You won’t regret reading.

Kate & Milo & baby rose (book 1)

Dragon shifter Milo a bartender had a one night stand w/ a “panther”shifter whom, a year and a half later dumps a 7month old baby girl on Milo’s doorstep. The “”are because apparently the author is unaware that a sand colored “panther” is actually a puma, not a panther but whatever. Doesn’t affect the story. Anyhow the girl next door Kate also dragon shifter has always had a crush on Milo never said anything. Anyhow she becomes vital to Milo helping him learn how to “dad”.
But in the Everglades, puma’s er’ I mean “panthers” have a volatile relationship mostly over territory. And there seems to be a nasty plot afoot with regards to lil baby Rose’s blood mother. My only real issue with this book is, I was expecting the dragon’s to all pull together to deal with the dragon/panther situation. And Milo was basically on his own. while Kate protected Rose.

Sofia & Rob (book 2)

Dragon shifter Sofia, Milo’s sister (from book1). Had a hot & heavy summer romance decades ago with Rob, also a dragon shifter. When Rob tells Sofia. He is going to medical school to become an obstetrician (a rare thing for the shifters living in the Everglades) they live so far from humans and hospitals having a doctor of any kind is a rare thing. Rob is a product of alcoholic parents who chose alcohol over him and Rob grew up in foster care as a result. Rob wants to do something for his community at large. He begged Sofia to go with him, she was so terrified he fall in love with city life and he would eventually leave her, or even if she stayed he would never return. So they broke each other’s hearts, from their own lack of confidence. Sofia sorta moved on while Rob studied hard through collage & medical school. But even after Rob returned neither of them could ever face what they truly are/were to each other. Thinking the other deserves better than them. Sofia meets Jamie, a wolf shifter and his slick carefree manners convince Sofia they are soulmates. Then reality strikes when Jamie does something unforgivable. Sofia leaves goes back home to the Everglades far away from Jamie & the city of Dallas. Only to discover she is pregnant and then runs smack into her ex, the once love of her young life. A lot of low self esteem from both of them. And a severe lack of communication is the biggest villain in this book. The greatest angst in this book is the two of them. Sure Jamie needs to be contended with but . This book while a great read and decent story was a very long road to a conversation that didn’t happen till the last 3 chapters! Finally!

Liam, Erin & “the egg” (book3)

Dragon shifter Liam, is a professor who has taught anthropology for nearly a century moving often to avoid humans noticing he doesn’t age like a human. He is far told to deal with the constant student girl crushing on him as well, but one day a bright beautiful student takes his course on ANTHROPOLOGY DRAGONS IN MYTHOLOGY, and he finds himself enamored with her bright inquisitive nature.
And he does something he has never ever ever done before.. crosses the line with his 25 yr old student. But there is much between them much more than chemistry or sex desire or inappropriate student/professor relationship.
Then there is a strange experiments going on in a secret laboratory on campus. Whispers of developing monsters genetic experiments etc. uh oh?

Mike & Storm (book 4)

Dragon shifter Mike (who’s wife left him and their two dragon-shifter twins) is a ranger on the Everglades, one day while out in a far area 100s miles from civilization in the deepest section of the national park of the marsh wilderness he meets a wild feral dragon shifter Storm who has barely spent a day in her human flesh
Instantly the feel the soulmate attraction and begin meeting clandestinely in secret. Attempting to navigate this long distance relationship between two completely different worlds and two completely different dragon cultures. Will take more than moving past cultural segregation and the attitudes that come with it. It turns out. The wild dragons have also lost an egg, and as the Everglade dragon daddies rescued an egg in the previous book. This is where the story takes a scary turn. Discrimination in dragon culture between city dragon and wild dragons come to a head over a lost & rescued baby dragon. Will it destroy MIKE & STORMS’S RELATIONSHIP. Will dragons go to war? Can two cultures come together and respect each other’s differences?

Oliver & Gloria (book5)

(I could have written this w/half as many chapters)
book series still has too much fluff
(Find myself skipping paragraphs didn’t miss a thing)
GLORIA & OLIVER
Dragon shifter Oliver lives deep in the Everglades with his dragon father. Oliver longs for family his father is all he has left, and he is nothing but a living dragon-tonic shell of his former dragon. One of Oliver’s brother’s is dead another left long ago. Oliver is far too lonely to continue life this way. He wants a family and if it can’t be with his soulmate, than his dragon friend Rob who is an obstetrician tells him about a shifter clinic doing invetro- surrogacies . Oliver is convinced this is the way to have a family and end his desperate loneliness!

Panther err actually PUMA SHIFTER, Gloria (from book 1) who is baby Rose’s bio-mother, with dragon shifter MILO (book1) she dumped their baby on his doorstep 5 years ago. then betrayed her own family to save Milo, Rose & Kate. Gloria runs off into the night but she is unable make it in the human world so she slinks back to her panther ..4th. Um “puma” family who never let her forget she is a traitor! Rhea, Gloria’s mother orders her to submit to becoming a surrogate womb for money with the promise that Gloria will be accepted back into the family with love. She is accidentally impregnated with OLIVER’S SEED. Opps.
Now Gloria us really on the outs with her family but will Oliver accept Gloria into his life? Can/has Milo & Kate forgiven Gloria for selling them and her own daughter out for her own family? Can Oliver Gloria & new baby be a family? Can Oliver’s dad who gates panther/puma’s accept Gloria and her child into his family? Can Milo Kate & Oliver still be friends?

Allen & Naomi (book6)

Allen is a dragon shifter cop, (shifter force not police) he is lonely, especially after a drunken night almost 6 years earlier a one night stand he barely remembers but can’t moved past constantly thinking about the dark haired mysterious female who snuck out on him. He also missing his brothers that night he got drunk was the last time he saw them a huge argument. They seemed to have gotten themselves in some trouble and then disappeared.
Wolf shifter Naomi and her pack have been squatting in a abandoned apartment building for 10 years. (Which she discovered due to her curiosity) and thanks to her annoying curiosity she walked in on 4 mysterious dragon shifter criminals catching them red handed. Now she is on the run cause they continue to track her down. While exghuasted, she runs into a familiar face she got very chummy with nearly 6 years ago her one night stand and her 5 year old son luca’s father .. opps but he is wearing a cop uniform. So she begs his help. He puts her up in a safe house. But the 4 dragons know were she is. And even though Naomi knows she should tell Allen about his son, she is just too scared, he is a dragon and a cop after all and mistrust goes deep and goes both ways. Allen knows she is hiding something. Though he thinks she may be lying about being in danger or something along those lines, not that she is hiding a son from him. Not that she had anyway of telling him for 6 years, they never exchanged names or numbers.
If she lives through this she swears she will tell him the truth about Luca, even if she loses Allen.

Hunter & Diana (book7)

Dragon shifter Hunter has had a sad childhood he never talks about, ended up in a never ending foster care system that has lots of kids falling through the cracks. (I can personally relate to that myself). He is angry and knows the world is corrupt but instead of making his life and his pain mean something he thinks the world owes him. He thinks of himself as a Robin Hood, stealing from rich, but he doesn’t exactly give to the poor does he? After he and 3 dragon shifter friends get caught. The “shifter” police make them do 10 years of community service. Hunter thinks he is just gonna sit on the sidelines and tune out. While Dragon shifter/SOCIAL WORKER Diana mentors a group of “at risk” shifter kids in a summer community outreach program Diana has created. She is on “sabbatical” from her job as a social worker. Diana is Burned out on the emotion toll of trying to make a difference in a broken system, that pretends to help abused & neglected kids. But really does nothing but rip kids out of a lousy home into another lousy home with a huge bunch of kids just as hurt and angry as they are. Always competing for attention. While Diana knows she is making a small amount of difference she wants to do more and help other adult dragons, who also got failed by a broken system. Hunter hates Diana, easy to peg her as just another faceless social worker bureaucrats doing “her job” he begins to see there is more to her than her perfectly coifed tidy appearance.

James & Brigit (book 8)
Dragon shifter James is intern firefighter on community service from his criminal past. He, his brother Evan and 2 others, were attempting to bring down a syndicate of corruption that has infiltrated deep into the cities leaders. After they got caught in their vigilante crimes. All four were made to do community service shifters can’t go to human jail or prison so community service (shifter jail) James is not a fire fighter yet but he hopes to, on his first outing his instinct drag him to the back of a burning house, where he hears a baby cry coming from the basement of a fully engaged fire, (arson) he finds a young woman with a baby. His instinct make it impossible to leave her and the baby (soulmate) problem, Brigit aka JANE DOE has no memory (amnesia). But James is certain she is a shifter. And it would be dangerous if she accidentally shifter in a human hospital. So he tells himself that’s why he is spending so much time with the beautiful woman with no memory of having a baby or how she got to be in the basement of a burning house!
A couple continuity issues, although I get why the author left it out. But it should have been expressed in the story. I couldn’t understand why it was so impossible for them to figure out who she was. I didn’t understand why they didn’t mention looking up public records as to who owned the house. Mailbox public records. Should have solved that issue immediately, however the author does not point out till the near end of the story that the house was supposedly abandoned and that was why they couldn’t figure out who she was. That should have been clearly stated in the beginning not the end. I spent the whole book asking myself .. why don’t they check mail/ mailbox or housing public records.. but of course the house was abandoned. But we didn’t know that till near the end. We should have been clear of that info early on! Distracting. And why didn’t the hospital put out a news alert? It’s procedural for police and hospital staff to notify Missing persons and put out an apb alert for an unknown injured woman without memory and a amnesia woman with an infant especially so. So this was annoying and distracted me from the story. A good alpha reader would have caught this and convinced the author to shore up the details. And I’m certain that the internship of James, would not have been allowed at an actual fire without some credentials or certifications even the drivers must have them. James had none. He is basically just the grocery guy/ maid/ station boy who cleans the station works around the station maintenance ext. he would not be allowed to go on a run. Not even just to stand by the vehicle. There is no room in a fire emergency in a fire truck, for anyone that doesn’t have the training & credentials to be there. Not even the driver! It would have made more since if the author had him, in the process of becoming credentialed. Or a rookie. Not a station boy! Especially since this story takes place a year after James, Arron, Evan & broody mcbroody pants.. got caught and started their forced community service. In a year he could have started certification process & training . He could be a rookie in as little as 18 weeks. But with additional 1-2 years in station training 4 years to be fully accredited with EMT & other training . But with 0 accreditation JAMES WOULD NOT BE ALLOWED ON A TRUCK OR TO GO TO AN ACTUAL FIRE. Some research would have done the author good. Especially if you are gonna delve a character into this world. You should do a little research.

Laurel & EVAN (book 9)

dragon shifter Evan, we met several books earlier in the series was once a cop who stumbled into a web of corruption that permeated not only city cops, officials and internal affairs. So they framed him as a dirty cop and he and his brother and two dragon shifter friends became vigilantes criminals attempting to expose the corrupt syndicate. When they realize they have gone too far in trying to bring down the bag guys, they have gotten caught kidnapping two women who saw their faces. Instead of going to prison and exposing shifters to the world of humans they are assigned community service for 10 years to really do good. All Evan wants is to prove his innocence and clear his name to be a cop again. And when his brother (an intern at a fire station) rescues his fated mate and a baby. Jane doe suffers amnesia “Brigid” mysterious house fire, that saw the baby panther shifter mother & father murdered by dirty cops. (Book 8) previous book. Brigid’s mother Laurel human aged 41 who was assigned as Evan’s community service mentor, has a dark dirty secret. As a cop who has been helping Evan clear his name, has been secretly covering up evidence! She is a part of the syndicate! She has no choice! Will she confide in Evan tell him the truth? What will they do to her daughter? her grandson? To Evan? The Evan’s family. Lives are at stake this really is life or death and make one wrong choice…. everyone dies! The syndicate will do anything kill anyone tamper with medications, fake robberies, vehicle accidents, faulty wiring house fires, arson, drug overdoses if you can think of a way to make someone die.. they have done it.. and will continue to do it!
Will Laurel make it? Will Evan? Will the whole entire community of the EVERGLADE SHIFTER’S make it out alive?

good story good series. My only problem the author tends to forget details she writes 5 mins after writing them .
Ex. Laurel is ordered to kill someone, she is given 6 weeks to do so, but that night she meets with the person. And then it is not 6 weeks it’s 6 days.. then in next chapter it’s back to 6 weeks. But the span of time passed was literally 48 hours, from the time the order was given to her confession. Then we wait patiently as 6 weeks go by while Laurel “plans” the murder. But the author can’t decide if it’s 6 weeks or 6 days! Perhaps it was a typo. There were a were typos I couldn’t figure out what was supposed to be the real word. I’m certain it’s something European or English/ British slang that doesn’t fit. That my other problem the author is English but usually tons of European/ British language or slang. But the series is set in EVERGLADE’S national park. ( and city of MIAMI and the southern peninsula of Florida) Brit slang has no place here perhaps some Cajun or southern or even Latino Haitian Creole perhaps (of which there was none) but certainly not British (of which there was a lot) author should get an American alpha reader .. ( I’m available) I alpha read for another author who is from Jamaica. And I also beta read for a British author.

Aaron & Clarissa (book 10)

Everglades Dragon shifter, Aaron is on community service parole, a TECH super genius in previous book he got shot and was nursed back to health by wealthy Volintis Dragon shifter Clasrissa, who became fast friends. First of all, I want to point out that. I really like this type of content. Boating, yachting, sailing, fishing and anything that falls under the concept of a marina.

I leave this information below for those who want to read it. A look at Boat and Yacht History:

the ships we encounter today are; They are large, robust and self-propelled watercraft used to transport cargo across the seas and oceans. This was not the case hundreds of years ago, and current ships went through centuries of development until they became what they are today.

In ancient times, sailors used rafts, bamboo logs, reed bales, inflated animal hides, and baskets covered with pitch to cross small bodies of water.

As a matter of fact, the first boat; it was in the form of a simple frame made of interconnected rods and sewn animal hides that skillfully covered them. These boats could easily carry large and heavy loads. Information about similar old boat examples; You can find it among bull boats, Eskimo canoes, and British Islander merchant ships on the North American plains. In addition to these, another old-style boat is the one carved from the log and the ends of which are sharpened. Some of these were 60 feet (approx. 18 m) long.

When we look at the history of seafaring in ancient times, we come across a very interesting study of human strength and survival instincts. For example, in ancient times, the simple shovel mechanism we know was not used. Instead, people used their hands to move through the water in tiny boats. They propelled their rafts forward, pushing the masts to the bottom of the rivers. Increasingly, using his creative instincts and ingenuity, man redesigned the posts by straightening them and widening one end, thus making it usable in deeper waters. Later, this form was masterfully redeveloped and the blade fixed to the sides of the boat was transformed into the shape of a wide oar.

Invention of the sail
The invention of the sail was the greatest turning point in maritime history. Sails replaced human muscle movements, and sailboats were able to travel longer with heavier loads. The first ships used square sails, which were best suited to sail downwind. Side sails were invented later.

The Egyptians credit the emergence of advanced sailing cargo ships. These were made by connecting and stitching together small pieces of wood. These cargo ships were used to transport large stone pillars used in the construction of monuments.

Here are the contents I love about two beautiful marinas.

good story

I loved reading about a group of shifters, then the separate stories of each couple and how the stories all interconnected. I truly skipped the pages describing the sexual encounters. I don’t think that they need to be quite so graphic.

Dragon

Interwoven tales of dragon brothers of the heart find their forever mates. Through drama, chaos, trouble with the law, and new jobs, babies, and the bond shared, all are right in the end. Super read, loved the entwined saga.

I enjoyed reading this box set. Each couple's stories were different enough that I didn't find them monotonous. Who doesn’t like stories with hot dragon shifters even if they don’t shift a lot.
I want to thank the author for making this available through Kindle Unlimited.
