Josephine Pierce has a very unhealthy and extremely unorthodox way of dealing with her grief. This may be because she had to move away from home and into her college apartment only two months after her sister's death, but no matter the reason, she is not doing okay. Living alone and away from her family is taking it's toll on her, and despite wanting to feel less alone, she also feels as though she will be a burden to anyone she meets.
When Josephine has a panic attack in public, putting her intense way to cope on display, Everett Link is the only person to step in to help her. Josephine instantly feels a connection to the kind, tattooed boy whose blue eyes hold as much trauma as her own.
When Everett proposes the two help one another heal, they embark on the impossible journey of coping with their pain, bonding over it, and developing feelings for one another along the way.
But can they both really help one another heal when they put each other at risk for more heartbreak?
This book was well written, well developed, elicited such raw emanations, tears and chuckles at the witty sarcastic humor which was well blended in to balance out the read. Characters were well developed and the storyline and plot twists were well done! I am looking for the this new, emerging author’s next book.
