The titan of darkness clashes with the witch queen of Corinth in this final and epic instalment of The Court of the Underworld.

EREBUS is the seventh book in a new paranormal romance series, based in a dark, sexy city ruled by Hades and his court of gods and monsters.

Erebus let his monstrous side loose in order to save Medea from Darius, but pushing it back down is proving more challenging than he expected. It fact, it's almost bloody impossible when the beautiful and terrifying witch is trying to fight him every chance she gets. But damn, is it fun.

After fifteen years of being experimented on, Medea, the most hated woman in all of Greek history, is free and planning her revenge on Darius and his followers. She needs to keep her rage and madness under control, and being around a certain titan makes all of worst impulses rise to the surface.

As Darius's final plan to start a war between man and gods is finally revealed, Erebus and Medea are going to have to work together and embrace each other's dark sides in order to save Styx...and maybe even save each other in the process.

EREBUS is a new story based on characters from Greek Myth. It contains adult content, including violence, swearing, and steamy sex scenes.

Everything was leading to this... and I enjoyed the heck out of it!

It's all come to a head. Our heroes have practically decimated what's left of Pithos, but Darius still believes he has moves to make. I thought it was hilarious that this dude, this human thought he could take on the gods and goddesses, but he made things entertaining.

So I found plenty to like about this story, such as:
😈 whenever Erebus took his true form and completely annihilated everything. How did I fall in love with shadows?
😈 the way the author characterized Medea, humanizing her in a way. She had such lovely vulnerable moments and yet she was so strong and fierce. She really was the best match for Erebus
😈 how all of the characters came together as a family. They all moved so beautifully together
😈 the laughs. I won't forget all of the funny moments amidst the mayhem
😈 how incredible scars can seem. Who knew?
😈 and so much more. I'm obviously not going to spoil things

My question about Ariadne's fate as a human was answered. My heart has been owned by these people. And here at the end of the series, I'm not sure what to do with myself. Hmmmm... probably start on this author's other one!

Erebus was a good book to end the series with. Medea and Erebus didn’t have the love story like the others because they are both such great characters in their own right. But it was still good. I like that things got tied up series wise, but not in a perfect or neat way. You just feel as though everyone will be alright now. The epilogue was great because it took it back to the person who set off the chain of events for the Court, and they were deserving of their reward. Good series!

Coming to Erebus' story, I was both excite and sad. I knew it was the last and that he and Medea's story was going to be my favourite. How did I know? Please don't ask. I just did. And it was.

Erebus has been a constant witty staple through all the books but it was incredible to dig into his past further. And then adding Medea? I mean, all the women of this series are fierce bu Medea brings up the bar so high!

The epilogue of book 7 was everything and the series was closed out so well. I am so incredibly sad to leave this world but you know what I did? Jumped straight into Gods of Duat.

I highly recommend this series.

I'm glad Medea was the one to finish the fight. She deserved it the most, even if Hermes, Circe, and Persephone also deserved it.
And the ending with Ariadne! I'm so happy for her.

PNR Nesta and Cassian, but like if Nesta had a legit reason to be so angry and traumatized, and if Cassian had shadow powers ... uhhhh is this Rhys/Nesta fic?? I wasn't super into most of the book (see comments about Nesta), but I enjoyed the action and that epilogue so 3 stars instead of 2.

So, yeah I binge-read this series.

As I said, it was very entertaining.

I will post this review on each of them because I don't care and I am not reviewing every single one of them.

However, this combination of dystopian elements with Modern Day Greece and Ancient Greek Gods reemerging, was chefs' kiss! I need to find this, but better than this.

Although I enjoyed it there are many issues with these books, so I am rating all of them 2 stars.

However, do not doubt that Alessa Thorn will be an author I will be adding to my list because whenever I need a fast read with smut, fantastical elements I'll be checking her out.

Not my favorite of the series (that was Charon) but I liked that we got a Medea story. I also really liked the epilogue. It's very nice to end the series with Ariadne and Asterion, just like it started.

Audiobook. Library. Overall this series was pretty solid and I enjoyed the overall plot that carried through all 7 books. This one was not my favorite I did not enjoy Medea much at all. The epilogue though was worth it.

Favorites from the series were Asterion, Medusa, Hermes, and Charon.

Really happy with how this series ended.
My favorites were Asterion, Hades, and Charons stories. The connections and the banter between all the characters was so fun.

This was a fantastic end to the series. I had a couple issues and didn't always feel the connection between Erebus and Madea, but I still really liked this and, like I said, its a great ending to the series. I wish there were more, or a spin off in the wings waiting to happen, but yeah.

All in all, after reading all seven books, I would definitely recommend this series.

I adored this series...

I adored this series and I especially enjoyed that the epilogue in book 7 brought us full circle with the characters from book 1. The series was so well done and I'd highly recommend it.

Wow

Awesome series, sort of sorry it has ended but “Erebus” was a perfect end for it.
Loved the twist on mythology and the perspective of the characters that were considered villain.

Nooooo

I can't believe it's over! This is one of those series that leave me absolutely GRIEVING when it ends. What am I going to do without my favorite people? It is definitely being added to my list of series to reread frequently. Thank you Ms. Thorn for this epic story!

It's also important to note that even though each book in this series is from the perspective of different characters and their love interests, the main story line follows through the whole series. All of the characters are in every book. Each book is NOT a standalone. Go to Asterion's book and ENJOY!

What a stellar ending for this series. I loved every minute of this final book. Erebus and Medea were definitely my favorite couple of the 7. And the epilogue was honestly the perfect wrap-up. It all started with our feisty little assassin, Ariadne. So much nostalgia. I'm going to miss the court crew so much. 🖤

Favorite quotes:
"You are Wrath made woman, Medea, and I can't get enough of it."

"You flirt with prey, honey, not another predator. I don't want to lull you into not seeing me for what I am. I want you to want the monster because it's the most honest version of myself."

Great Series

This is the first of this Authors book for me. I am very impressed and very happy I found here. This series was filled with action, adventure, kick ass characters, hot sex, love, battle and one of my favorites...gives you all the “feels” while you read it including laugh your butt off out loud to make your family, friends or really anyone around you think you have lost your mind. I am not on the hunt to find another series or book from this Author. Very highly recommend this series.

It's safe to say I adored this series, and not because of all the spice (though it was very well written and that was a plus).

No, the plot of these books and the way they all feel like they have their own characters with quirks and pasts and depth is fantastic! The build up to the battle with Darius and the conclusion of the war and the reveal of Erebus' thing with feet... All of it was worth it in my book.

Erebus and Medea are easily the most messed up pair in this series. They both have suffered more than the others with Erebus struggling with his human form and Medea coming out of torture. Both of them also contain a darkness that leaves them feared by most everyone they know and their only match really is each other.

Watching them interact and seeing them come to accept each other was a lot of fun, and getting to see everyone else in their happy relationships and kicking butt all through Styx was a rip roaring good time.

I am also so happy with the ending. It feels like everything is tied up so nice and neatly. I maintain that another hundred pages in each of these novels to flesh out the storylines and interactions would have taken this series from a four star to a five star series, but you bet you happy ass I've been telling everyone around me about how much fun I've had reading it. (They might be relieved I've finally finished so I'll talk about something else. Jokes on them. Egyptian Gods next ;))

Seriously, this series was so much fun. Exceeded every one of my expectations. Go read it.

I was so excited to read Erebus’s story. At this point, he is the jokester. He can’t be taken seriously. He is always flirting with the other women and is the primary humor in the whole series.

But beneath all of that, he is dark and angry. So you watch him be lighthearted with everyone else but vicious when he is with Medea. Although I think that’s mainly because Medea is angry as hell at first.

She comes out swinging. Maybe a little too much for me. Medea was my least favorite out of the fmcs. Which is weird because I love a dark witch. But she only felt angry to me. I don’t feel like I get to see much else.

They do have some sweet and tender moments but their romance just felt like the most underdeveloped. But they are the definition of a hate fuck and they do it so well. Their elevator heat is still ingrained in my mind. It’s one of the best spicy scenes in this series.

I liked seeing complexities to Erebus’s character. I just wish the same had been applied to Medea. Now the action in this book was intense. And I loved that the author tied it back to Asterion and Ariadne in the end.

It was so sad for just the briefest of moments. But the most tender moment in this whole series is when Hades and Ariadne sit on the bench and he tells her how important she is.

I loved how her mortality/immortality is what ties everything up. It was a perfect ending. The perfect HEA. I loved this series. I’ll continue to revisit it. If I haven’t convinced you to read this yet, welp. You’ll miss out.

I am so not on with being done with this courts series. I need more 😫

"I know exactly what I am and what I symbolize, Darius, and so does everyone who is watching. I am the fury of wronged women and their revenge, and I will get it no matter what. I will be the blade of all those women whose babies are dead in Styx tonight because you were another bored, mediocre rich man who wanted to play at greatness."

Medea is SUCHHHHH a queen. Loved her as the final addition to the court. Ariadne still rules & I wish she was real, (and I want to be her sister wife to Asterion).

The ending on this one was unexpectedly (briefly) emotional & made me sweat a little bit. The moments where Hades shows/says he cares about the ladies + Perseus that are now in his court never gets old.

This action-packed fast-paced paranormal romance series has finally come to an end and I can confidently say all of the couples blended together towards the end. This 7 book found family series was short and quick to get through, filled with stereotypical but fun characters that work and some good banter. However, it was still shallow and just lacking in every aspect. Still, it works and managed to hook me until the end. It doesn't require much brainpower which is perfect for me but it isn't mind numbingly boring either. In this last book, we sadly get even less romance because it works as a wrap for the entire plot but I guess it works for this couple. It was fun to see all the characters together and I really liked the epilogue the author gave us.

Gods! So much love for this entire series.

It’s only because I was too impatient and excited to get right into the next book that I didn’t review each one in the series as I read them. A fact that I rather regret now, however this last book about Erebus, was so stunningly hot and just perfect that I find it to be the right time to gush a little about this amazing series Thorn has created. Her monsters are so lovely. I’ve enjoyed seeing them tick and fall into loving madness. Each character is so exciting. Spoiler, the ending is spot on with our favorite assassin joining the court in a forever way. Thorn captures the excitement of love and hate in way that I haven’t come across yet.

Fantastic ending to a great series!!
Erebus & Medea are dark, vicious and psycho. I loved their fight or f*ck banter. Nice change from the Insta mushy love of the other couples.

The action was back in this book. I found the first few books in series action packed with Pandora as focal point but the last few books surrounding Darius were little slower in that regard. Then this book threw in lots of action as Darius attacked, then the court of the underworld took him down.

Through the whole series I constantly wondered how Ariadne being human world play out, especially long term as all the other couples are immortal. Finally got my answer in this book and so happy with how that played out.

An epic ending to a great series

I wasn't sure at first how well I was going to like Medea as a heroine, as she seemed really bitchy, like Hecate, & Hecate was my least favorite of the series (which I still have 4 stars, so...). But she turned out to be great, just another version of a strong woman but with some awesome magic perks! Erebus was extra steamy in this book, too. He & Charon we're my favorites & so it was great to have him as the hero. I also loved the epilogue! It's great to imagine the Court of Styx ruling on high forever! I'm kinda bummed the Greek part of the story is over, but I'm pretty enticed to read the remaining Egyptian gods books. I will definitely be reading more by this author!

Hecate has some nerve!

This review contains a spoiler

I loved all of the crazy being thrown around and was thrilled we finally got some power being unleashed (well since Persephone went bats*** crazy after stabbing Hades). I felt the need for someone to smack Hecate during the scene w Ariadne. While I understood the need to knock Asterion out, the fact that she had the audacity to be “irritable” about the situation had me giving her the side eye. She was the same one that couldn’t do much else besides cry in her story, and freaked out even with Hades there to make sure Thanatos recovered when he was injured. All Asterion knew was that his partner was human and fatally injured, it’s not like he was consulted before Hades disappeared with her.

Fantastic end to the series!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/ 5.

If you like the current uptick in novels around Greek mythology, I have great news for you: These books rock.

I’ve read them all, and I’m pleased to say that Erebus is my very favorite. I didn’t think I would love this, (got a little burned out at Thanatos, to be honest) but I LOVED this storyline.

The writing? Good. The characters? Wow. Erebus and Medea were *chef’s kiss*. I liked them even more than HadesxPersephone, who were my first favorite couple in this series. Medea and Erebus are both outcasts, a little dark, a little crazy, and 100% made for each other.

Sad to see this series end, but wow, what a book to end on!

Entertaining short read

I've now finished the entire series.
It's a shame that the author didn't make these books longer, more fleshed out.
The characters are all pretty likeable, but there's so many of them and not enough time to really get to know them, to watch them develop etc.
They also become more 'mary Sue' as time goes by. I know they're gods and demigods however with all these abilities how is any threat a credible one?
The author is talented, the stories and characters all had potential, it was an entertaining way to spend some time.
Would I re-read? No.
Would I recommend to friends? No.
Would I pay for these? No.

I want my own God for real

So, this is the last book of the series and OMG what a wonderful series this was. I loved every single moment of it. I was hooked from the first book on the first page. Dialogue was fantastically written, characters well developed.. Short version of what I'm trying to say is: This last book, and every single one in the series, was like watching a very very good movie that you couldn't stop watching until it ended. It was that well written.. I definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to get lost in a little crazy-scary-loving God adventure that leaves you with wishful thinking and beautiful dreams at night (wink wink).
