"I'm your new account manager, Ms. York—so you belong to me." He grinned, the cutest dimple showing up on his left cheek. "I bet you think all women belong to you?" "Only the ones who want to."
A declined credit card. A banker who believed he was a gift to all women. A deeply rooted plan to destroy my reputation.
Max Renshaw's job was to investigate the suspicious activity on my account, but after my apartment was ransacked and I received creepy calls from an unknown number, Max's protection extended well past banker's hours.
When the taunts persist, Max and I are forced to confront people I'd hoped never to see again.
When the truth is uncovered, will Max see me for the woman I've become and not the messy girl I used to be?
Until Dawn is part of Aurora Rose Reynolds's Happily Ever Alpha World. If you loved Until Trevor, then you will want to read Until Dawn.
I am mad about books! It all started when my sixth grade teacher Ms. Schwartz read Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls to our class, I looked forward to the time after recess when she would read a chapter or two to us. I've been hooked on books ever since. One day I stumbled upon Goodreads and discovered a world of crazy book junkies just like myself! Since then I've become a blogger, beta reader and promoter of romance fiction. I also found the courage and support I needed to try my hand at becoming an independent author. I can't wait to grow as a writer and share the characters who have been inhabiting my brain for years!
This was my first book by Gwendolyn Grace and while I did enjoy it I wasn't enthralled with it like I would have liked to have been. Usually with these Until books I can't put them down but this one I had no problem with laying my kindle down and stepping away although I still did finish it in one day. Don't get me wrong there were parts I enjoyed very much. Lennon and Max's chemistry was off the charts and I loved the way he was with her and his lesson countdown. The mystery off the entire book was enticing as well although I figured it out quite easily. And it was a little repetitive of her background and that got annoying. The epilogue of this book was epic though I absolutely loved it. And I would recommend it. I also wanted more Mayson connections but that's just me loving that family so freaking much....lol
Lennon's no longer the vain, self absorbed person she was as a teenager. Now she runs a successful events planning company and has herself together. Well, except for the fact that her bank account keeps having problems. But that's the bank's problem. Sounds like a negative but not when it brings her a second chance of sorts, a chance for redemption, at proving to her old high school classmate that she's changed. And a chance at the kind of love she's dreamed of. But she and Max will have to deal with the mysterious events that keep plaguing her first, if they want their shot at happiness.
I love how much character growth Lennon makes, and was rooting for her and Max to make it through to the other side in love. Until Dawn is sweet, sexy and a great addition to the Until world.

I haven’t read Gwendolyn Grace before, and I try to read each and every new book in the Happily Ever Alpha World.
This book, I enjoyed it, but there is something that I can’t put my finger on that I didn’t connect with. Lennon is a woman that has come a long way from her mean girl high school days. She truly understands that she wasn’t the best person and is making the effort to be better. There are times when she slips; and there are times when she questions whether or not she has actually become a better person, but as the story unfolds, you see she truly has.
Max is a man that went to school with Lennon but moved away for many years and is coming back to his hometown area. They had gone on a date, but it never went anywhere. But things quickly change when they reconnect. I enjoyed the way in which Max supports Lennon and while he hasn’t known her as an adult doesn’t allow his past thoughts or outsider’s opinions form any bias on how he treats her.
Lennon isn’t without issue, and there is a light suspense element that is thoughtful and entertaining. I liked the way in which these two moves forward organically, but there was something more that I wanted. I just didn’t connect with the characters in the way that I wanted. The author’s story was strong, and the editing was done well, but there was a flatness to the characters that I couldn’t get past. I would give this author another try though, because maybe it is my love of THE BOOM of the HEA World that I wanted more from this story.
I love it when a new book is added to the Happily Ever Alpha Universe, especially when it takes place during the Until series timeline (aka the parents generation in Until Her/Him). The Until series is only four books long and while they are fabulous, the Until Him/Her series is still on going so it is nice to see more of the parents when they are young. I liked reading Until Dawn because I always enjoy reading about characters who show that they've grown as people and the female lead, Lennon, is a perfect example of that. In high school and even college to a certain extent, she is a vapid, shallow and ditzy girl who only really cares about herself, and we hear about that through other characters, but you as the reader meet a completely different woman who is a responsible business owner, that cares about her employees and those around her. I also appreciate that I didn't see who Lennon's stalker was coming, which I really liked cause frequently with novellas I find that they can be just a tad bit predictable and/or things are brought up as if they're important but never discussed again. Party planner Lennon York is used to people in her small town treating her the same way they did when she was in high school because of her past behavior. So when she goes into the bank to discuss her credit card being declined she wasn't expecting her usual money manager, Iris to be replaced with Max Renshaw, the one guy she truly liked in high school but she messed up with by being insecure and bratty. But as soon as she she starts talking to him she assumes he doesn't remember her and she uses that to her advantage for him to meet who she is as opposed to who she was. After several serendipitous meetings Lennon and Max's relationship starts to change, especially when someone breaks into her apartment and starts trying to ruin her reputation... As soon as Lennon York marched into Max's office he immediately remembered her, he just didn't let that influence how he treated her. The more time they spend together the more Max realizes the mistake he made when they were younger but not realizing she wasn't a brat just an insecure teenager, and he regrets that he didn't give what they once had a chance. With that in mind Max is determined to make it work this time around, and he's not going to let anyone, not even Lennon's stalker get in the way of what they are building together...
She'd been raised "knowing" she was the best and best-looking everything. Now she was all grown up and still had a healthy opinion of herself but she'd outgrown being overbearing about it. At least she thought so. She had a few great friends and a business she loved and was good at. So what if she didn't have a man in her life. Her choices in that area hadn't been so good.
He couldn't believe one of the first people in town he'd see before starting the job he'd been promoted to back in his old hometown was Lennon. All grown up and even more beautiful than her teen self. Their next time meeting wasn't auspicious.
Mixing business and pleasure. With their past and past relationships could they have something together? Could he help her out of her serious problem professionally that was his job and still find a chance for them as a couple?
Fun, problems, steam, great characters, and a storyline that will keep you smiling--most of the time. A wonderful story keeping in the series theme that's one of those feel-good books. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Lennon York & Max Renshaw . When this story opens we find that Lennon is the wedding planner for Trevor Mason & Liz Hayes. Though is seems like their mothers are trying to play matchmaker for her more than anything else. When they bring up one name though is sure throws her back in time. Max is back in his hometown working at the local bank. There was this part of him that is just glad to be close to home. Now that his dad is gone he needs that closeness again. Especially when everything feel through with his last girlfriend. With so much new going on with them both can they find a HEA or were they better off just leaving them in the past?
My first time reading this author and wowza what a story. There is so much I want to tell you but don't want to ruin it for others. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
This book is part of the Happily Ever After world. This is the first book by Gwendolyn I have read. I have read several books in this world and loved them all this one was no different. Lennon York runs a successful event planning business. Max Renshaw is back in town. He has wanted to come back and jumped at the promotion that allows him to do that. Lennon and Max went on one date in high school. They weren’t a fit. Lennon has grown and changed over the years. Max is eager to see if she has changed or not. Lennon in known as a bit of a problem customer at the bank. But this time it isn’t her fault. Someone has been making fraudulent charges on her account. Then there is a break in at her home. Max and Lennon have an instant attraction and he is pleased that she isn’t the same girl he went on a date with in high school. He wants to help her. Things aren’t adding up with her bank account. He has his suspicions. He needs to do some more digging and talk with someone higher up at the bank first though. This was a great funny romantic read. These characters were great. This is a fast-paced book. Its an instalove book. I couldn’t put this book down once I started. Great job Gwendolyn.
This is a wonderful addition to this phenomenal series and is Max and Lennon’s journey. This is a new author to me, but I will certainly be looking out for her work in the future. Max and Lennon have known each other since childhood and have a history. When Max returns to his hometown for a new job, they first person he crosses paths with is Lennon. Lennon has grown up to become a successful party planner, and when her apartment is ransacked, she begins to receive suspicious call from an unknown number. Max is a banker whose job it is to investigate suspicious activity on Lennon’s account. This is a well written fun read, with humor, witty banter, emotions, suspense, intrigue, and love, which leads to a steamy all-consuming page turner. I look forward to reading more from this author and I recommend this story.
This was my first book by Gwendolyn Grace and while I did enjoy it I wasn't enthralled with it like I would have liked to have been. This is a standalone in the Happily Ever Alpha World brought to you by Aurora Rose Reynolds. The story has danger, secrets, and heartbreak.
This is Lennon and Max’s story. This is a second chance story. She was always told she was the best and took full advantage of that. But something is happening to her and causing all kinds of problems. She is suffering but this time it’s not her fault. As she and Max try and figure it out, they grow closer. He knew her in high school, and she was not the same as she is now. She is better but in order for them to have a chance at something she needs to find out who is messing with her. Can he help with that/ Do they have a future?
I think Lennon is the first heroine in the HEA world that I wasn’t thrilled with at first. Her history doesn’t help endear us to her. She has grown up and started treating people better but she is still aloof and not all the way responsible when it comes to her personal finances.
Enters Max. Boy from her past and her current loan officer. It’s rocky at first but Max brings out the best in Lennon. Once you get all the layers peeled away thanks to Max you are able to see why he was able to fall in love with her.
Now this isn’t a HEA World book without some drama and suspense and we get that in this book.
I definitely suggest giving this book a read. The did a good job standing on her own yet including ARR.
I received a copy this book with the understanding that I would leave a voluntary and honest review.
This is a second chance romace for Max + Lennon! They knew each other in high school and reconnect later in life. Theres drama, some alpha male, suspense, sweet moments and of course some spice! With so much new going on with them both can they find a HEA or were they better off just leaving them in the past?
My first time reading this author and I very much enjoyed it! A feel good book! What a story!!
"I've...I've never been someone's everything before "..."That's because you were meant to be mine"
Lennon and Max’s story was heartwarming. Lennon is a wedding planner and Max is her new personal banker. They haven’t seen each other since there school romance. When Lennon barges into his office due to a problem with her account they both pretend not to know each other, however the BOOM is there. Let the fun begin! Max detects fraud on her bank account, there is a break in at her house together with silent calls, but who is doing this? While all this is going on Max’s ex wants him back refusing to accept they are over. Can they get their HEA?
This book was interesting because it made people can change. I couldn't put book down once started.
I loved Max and Lennon together, they knew each other from childhood and they bump into each other again. Lennon has changed since she was a kid, and she is a successful party planner. But something is going on with her bank. Max helps her through everything she goes through this book. And they fall in love even though their is so much going on.
Gwendolyn Grace is a brand new to me author and the newest release in the Happily Ever Alpha World. Packed with feels, suspense, steam, and a second chance.. Until Dawn was a nice addition to this world, with two unforgettable leading characters- Max and Lennox.
I'm a huge, huge fan of ARR and any book that comes from her world. I look forward to more.
I wasn’t convinced I was going to like Lennon, indeed she wasn’t the nicest teenager but who is. She has some annoying foibles which makes her human. Max is pleasantly surprised when he meets her again and their attraction sparks off again. They are drawn into a situation when Lennon’s finances are clearly being fraudulently used and her apartment is ransacked leaving them to try and sort it out.
Until Dawn by Gwendolyn Grace is part of the Happily Ever Alpha World. This is the story of Lennon York and Max Renshaw. Lennon is a successful event planner who is having issues with someone who is pretty much stalking her I felt. Max has returned home to help with the family. Now he has a job as investigator for a bank. Max and Lennon of course knew each other but both have grown. The sparks fly between the two. I am a big fan of this series but this book is a standalone book.
The Banker and the Beauty Queen!! Max and Lennon’s story was a second chance mixed with small town goodness and a little bit of mystery as well. I loved that Max showed Lennon that she wasn’t the 17 year old version of herself and he calmed the crazy. Together they made a great team!
Max and Dawn have a second chance of sorts. They have both grown from when they were teens, more so Lennon and I loved seeing the maturity and growth. The story is sweet and sexy, with suspense and mystery thrown in. I couldn't put it down.
Wow what an emotional rollercoaster book. Loved following the characters stories, and I’m sure like I could we can all relate to some of Lennon’s personality traits. Such a good hea book.
I was confused as to why this is called Until Dawn … but then, I got it (mid story and ending) and it was so special. I loved the writing and the story. The glimpses of Liz and Susan was a fun touch. So glad I read this cute, sweet story. 💙
I liked this book but I guessed who was behind the fraud when it was first mentioned and Iris was talking bad about the h. Just the right amount of action and suspense, humor and love. What a sweet epilogue and HEA.
