I left a piece of me when I moved from my hometown.
Two years ago, Summer ran away from everything reminding her of the biggest mistake she’d ever made. Being in a new city allowed her to reinvent herself, but it too turned her into a person that she didn’t even know; a fraction of the woman she used to be.
Summer was content being a loner until a random invitation for a fun-filled steamy night and an encounter with a man there causes her to struggle with her new and old self.
Tre represents everything Summer feels she doesn’t deserve. Will she forgive herself and begin to enjoy all that life has to offer, or will she again run away when things get sticky?
Summer had to make a heartbreaking decision in book one that she's having a hard time living with. She got caught up in a situation and she couldn't deal with the consequences. Moving to a different city doesn't alleviate her guilt and she tortures herself with, as she calls it, weekly parking lot stalking regretting her decisions. When she meets Tre, the last thing on Summer's mind is a romantic relationship but, surprisingly, she's still open to it. Even though he didn't know her identity when they first met, it was pretty much love at first sight for Tre. On top of the intense chemistry, he and Summer had a connection they just couldn't question. I loved how patient Tre was. Even before he knew what her issues were, he gave Summer the space she needed to heal. When she finally let him in, Tre didn't judge her and he encouraged her to finally get out of the car and make that move. Tre was EVERYTHING! He was exactly what Summer needed and he had no problems showing her what real love looks like. I absolutely loved how accepting Cyanna and Shemar were of the whole situation. They recognized the role everyone played in book one and didn't hold it against Summer. Because they were so welcoming, it allowed Summer to finally release the shame and guilt she'd been shouldering. Sticky Situation 2 more than lived up to it's predecessor. It was a sexy strangers to soulmates read that was worth all my time. Summer was so deserving of her second chance and not just a second chance at love but, at life and getting it right the second time around.
Nasty…but make it heartfelt. I loved this book it delivered on the erotica but there were some real life issues in between. Tre was extremely patient and Summer had to get out of her own way and back to who she was but the “situation” changed her so it’s understandable. This was a great quick read.
This book was so good! I loved Summer & Tre; their chemistry, banter, and communication was displayed well throughout the story. Tre was so yummy!! The way that he cared for Summer and was nonjudgmental was everything. I loved how mature Shemar & Cyanna were also. Ugh. All the feels with this one!
In sticky situation 2, we follow summer and love interest Tre. I was def clutching my pearls because this book was nasty nasty. I loved the storyline and I really enjoy watching this author grow book by book.
Although we met Summer in book 1, her vibe was way off in this one! Was it just due to SJ, or something else? Hmmmm..... I loved Tre! The way he pursued Summer with such confidence, was sexy as hell! These two were nasty, nasty! I mean damn! 😂 Tre took the time to listen to Summer and give her what she needed, although he knew she was holding back something. I was indifferent to Summer's situation at first, as I felt she knew what she was getting into, and didn't use proper precautions! But, after thinking about it, we all get caught up at one time or another, and she just couldn't deal with the consequences of those actions! I can't imagine how hard that had to have been for her, and to sit on the sidelines and watch for so long. I was pleasantly surprised at Shemar and Cyanna's acceptance of her though! As she began to release the shame, guilt and blame she allowed herself to forgive; and it made all the difference. Tre was right there cheering her on! Glad we were able to get Summer's story. It was everything I didn't know I needed! 👍👍👍
Masquerade ball chance meeting turned into a steamy love affair. Summer met Tre but didn't think he would stick around when he learned of her past. Tre proves to me everything Summer didn't know she needed in this last filled romance.
Tre was...sheesh, that man was everything! He actually paid attention to Summer's needs and wants. He catered to not just her body but to her heart as well. I enjoyed watching her growth as she regained her confidence and took her power back. And them sex scenes, whew. They were beyond hot and definitely left a sticky situation.
Really! …I can’t reiterate enough, I’m supportive of artistic expression. Ms Hamilton’s literary work is no exception. However, Summer is still delusional. ..Watching the David’s from afar, trolling social media accounts, sacrificial Sunday’s, a few gifts is creepy as he$@! She mad a choice by relinquishing parental rights to SJ. Thereafter, there’s more to life than immense sexual gratification, conditional hedonism and voyeurism. Just because Summer has rationalized SJ conception. ..Two years later Summer is inviting another compromising (sticky) situation. She’s not selfless rather selfish! …How will SJ process this BS over the decades of his life? Doesn’t SJ he deserves more⁉️Summer’s sticky is messy🤨‼️
Let me just start by saying Tre is the sh*t!!! This book was more than about the hot steamy sex scenes it told a complete story about a woman, Summer, who was broken after a life changing decision she made. While moving away from that haunting decision she met a guy who can rock her world and fulfill all of her desires. Not only is he everything she needs in the bedroom but outside of the bedroom as well. This second book definitely brought the same energy as the first I loved it!
In the first book, I was annoyed with Cy, Shemar AND Summer because they all played a part in the situation they ALL created. I placed blame on all of them! I'm glad the author came back to tell Summer's story because I can now, with good conscience, place the blame with the right party.
I'm glad Summer forgave herself for her mistakes. However, I did not envy the torment she suffered as a result of her mistakes. Tre was truly the ultimate balm and was everything she deserved and needed. Their chemistry was off the charts!
I really liked that we got a part 2 and this is from a person who hates cliffhangers. This tells you exactly how good this book is.
It is well written, we got to hear the other side - Summer's side, understand her perspective and see the effects of the difficult decision she took pertaining to SJ. I like how she was a strong black woman but she showed her vulnerable side to Tre who was open minded, loving and caring and most of all, considerate. It is always pleasant to read about black people who are emotionally intelligent.
Loved this sexy strangers to lovers to soulmates storyline. It was also beautiful watching Summer find forgiveness and become whole in the best way possible. Tre was everything Summer needed and more, his acceptance and support was a beautiful thing to watch unfold. Loved this story and the tangle with Alayah was quite entertaining!
There's an episode of Friends where Monica and Chandler needed referral letters for the adoption agency. Joey wrote one using a Thesaurus for every word he'd originally written. This book is a mixture of that and ridiculousness.
Because the descriptions of body parts had me 🤣🙄😤 nonetheless I appreciated Summer's story more.
Was immediate!!! Omg Chassssssssssilyn!!! Listen this story was amazing. And I’m happy Summer found someone that encouraged her to forgive herself and grow. The way I cackled and swooned through the whole book adds you onto my favorite writers list. I love it !!!
I'm glad Summer got what she needed in the end! Tre provided the support system she was seeking, while also bringing the heat! There were also some laugh out loud and tender sweet moments as well.
I am actually happy you allowed us to explore Summer’s feelings and you gave her a well thought out ending. Because Honey sometimes y’all authors will destroy our feelings in the mist of reading. I felt all the love and happiness. I agree love looks good on everyone!
I truly did not know how much I needed this update, being able to see Summer's point of view of the whole interaction. I loved Tre for Summer he definitely saved her.
