(this is gonna be quite long since it’s 1 review for the whole book series)
it’s interesting to note that had i read this now, i would have disagreed with the whole premise of the story. our mc villainess, aria, basically died in a guillotine but somehow regressed in time.
while it's true that the person responsible for her demise, mielle, was awful, aria went back in time when both of them were still young. instead of breaking the cycle of hate by embracing mielle as her sister or whatever means to prevent mielle from becoming an enemy, aria doubled down and started scheming for mielle’s downfall.
mielle was just an unfortunate product of the people who raised her (her greedy father and her evil nurse oddly loyal to her late mother); aria still had enough time to correct that. if she could reconcile with her negligent mother from the past, she could have also forgiven future mielle. but nope, there was no character development. silly me, the title did say "villainess."
you know what’s crazy though? unlike the one-dimensional, almost-caricature, aria the anti-heroine, the supposedly antagonists were the ones who became rounded & had a character development towards the end… and yet… the author still gave them a tragic end. looking back now, what aria did to cain and mielle left a bitter taste in my mouth.
i can't believe i was morbidly cheering for mielle's punishment (to be fair, she had already committed treasonous acts at this point because everyone used her as a mere pawn) towards the end of this novel... it’s so weird to learn empathy??? (jk i had one it was just laying dormant im not a robot promise)

¡POR FIN!
Con los extras leídos y todo. Amé esta historia de principio a fin, me encariñé mucho con los personajes, amé su crecimiento y venganza.
Todos los malos recibieron lo que les tocó desde un principio. Sentí hasta pena por algunos (Oscar) y algunos los odié hasta después de murieron.
Al padre de Aria le traigo un coraje, literal no le importaba su hija, solo su esposa. Nisiquiera mostró interés en conocerla cuando se enteró de su existencia, horrible padre.
Asher, un amor, te amo, precioso 🥺 Uno de los ML que más amé y eso que ni tenía tanto protagonismo, el solo existía para darle autoridad a la Prota y era, pero por existir tiene un lugar en mi corazón.
Y los bebecitos Lippe y Bliss, basta.
Amé todo, necesito más manhwas así; este se va a mi top 5 de manhwas fav.
