Anthony McAully: she's a warrior if I ever saw one. On a cold winter's night, she helped me live, though she never asked for anything in return. Not even to meet me. I forced the issue, unable to leave it as a chance encounter. I met her, loved her, admired her fighting spirit and fell in love with her ability to give safety to others.

She'll take on corrupt politicians, sex gangs and their support network, helping the weak and the powerless. For the Trodaiche she is, why won't she fight for herself?

Annie Holmes: I deal in action, not emotions. Give me a puzzle to solve, a situation to deal with and I flourish. Those with money, who make people jump through hoops for entertainment? Walk on by. I don't need them, their influence, their control in my life. I need someone who will be there for me, for my little girl, emotionally and physically. Someone so not like her father. Any chance of that has gone. Who is going to want to take on someone like me, a fighter, a survivor, a warrior; a woman who can bring trouble to the door and send it packing back to Hell?

Very intriguing beginning to the story. This one had plenty of action and heat. I loved these characters and enjoyed being along for the ride through their wild lives and circumstances.

Trodaiche is the second book in the Tango Down Duet. It is Annie and Anthony's story. I admit, I squealed when I saw Annie get her own story. After reading about her in Dionadair, I was desperately hoping she would get her own story.

Annie is one hell of a warrior. She has been through hell and back. She managed to walk away from her abusive ex Jim, but in some ways he still has a hold on her. She also has the most adorable little girl, Elle, who by the way has to be the cutest thing ever. She has an incredibly dangerous job but somehow manages to balance it well. Annie has fought through things that many women.. AND men would shy away from. Something that a lot of people choose to ignore. She has stepped up and is helping to save women from domestic abuse. She volunteers at a women's refuge center. She wants to help women in a way that she never was.

Anthony on the other hand, is a self-made billionaire. He has an eye for investments and has a heart of gold. He longs for a woman who fits into his life perfectly, but no one has ever managed to. Not until a chance meeting with Annie. Unfortunately Anthony doesn't remember meeting her after being stabbed. She stitched him up and got him help from Blythe and Adrian (From Dionadair). Blythe, after being asked numerous times about who saved his life, decides to set them up together as she believes they would be perfect for eachother.

I really enjoyed that we got to see a glimpse of Marcus, Adrian and Blythe in this book. It was good to see that they were still going strong as a unit.

Annie and Anthony's journey is made of them both learning to trust and let love into their lives. Anthony will need to stand his ground and fight for Annie when danger comes knocking and she falls back on her old habit of pushing people away to protect them. What Annie never counted on, was that not only would he want to stand by her side, but he would do anything to save her each and every time.

Thank you soo much Louise for sending me a copy of your book to read and review.

Trodaiche is Annie and Anthony's story and I was soo excited to get this after reading Blythe's story.

Annie is one hell of a women, she fights the fights that many would shy away from. In fact that many people in todays society choose to ignore. She helps women in a refuge centre. She saves many women from domestic abuse and is one hell of a badass. She has a wee lassy Elle who is just adorable (i loved the little snippets we got of her) But after she left her abusive Ex Jim she has always lived on egg shells. He controls more than what we first think.

Anthony - where do I begin? Anthony is a self made millionaire. He is a business investor who has one incredible smart mind. He has a heart of absolute gold but has never found the woman that fits perfectly with him and his life until Annie.

Their chance meeting was one that Anthony didn't remember after being stabbed. Annie stitched him back up and got him the help he needed in the form of Blythe and Adrian. But after continually asking who saved him Blyth decided it was time to put these two together as she could see that they would be perfect for each other.

Their story is a journey of Trust and allowing love into both of their lives. Annie's job is dangerous and when danger comes knocking at her door she does what she does best which is to push people away to protect them but what she doesn't count for is a man who will do anything to save her every time and to be there for her.

This story was wonderful and i really enjoyed getting to know these characters.
My only critique would be that it felt a little jumpy and between one thing to the next but honestly that's a tiny thing the book speaks for itself and was really enjoyable.

My Overall Rating is 4 💋💋💋💋
My Passion Rating is 4 💋💋💋💋

Oh Louise Murchie has done it again! I may have enjoyed this even more than Dionadair if that’s even possible. That could be because you come into this book already knowing about Tony and Annie but you learn so much more about them.

It’s spicy as hell but done in a tasteful and completely realistic way! Which I think is a real talent. A smutty read that doesn’t make me cringe is always a win!

It’s nice to have Marcus, Adrian and Blythe as minor characters (The lead characters from Dionadair) because it wouldn’t have been the same without them.

It’s got everything! Pace, action, heat, romance and it’s set in bloody Scotland! What more can you need!!

And anyone who can end a book with the word Abso-fucking-lutely in the last sentence is a bloody legend!!

🙌 cant recommend it enough 🙌

Favourite quote- “Beautiful like the Highlands, wilder than the winds and as destructive as any Atlantic storm”

The second book in Murchie’s duology, Trodaiche can be read alone, though those who’ve read Dionadair will recognize some of the characters. And the characters are worth recognizing. I love their personalities and what they stand for. Also the way they interact with each other. It’s truly lovely to see.

Trodaiche is set at the beginning of the pandemic, prior to and at the beginning of lockdown, so there is a lot of “dealing with” the issues arising from that situation. It leads to an interesting dynamic for Annie and Tony, as well as for the troubles that beset them both.

Love Elle, and I’m certainly not a fan of Annie’s ex, Jim. Annie herself is a strong, loving, compassionate woman. Someone easy to see as a friend. And Tony is a perfect gentleman. One who isn’t threatened by a woman who fights her own battles, but will be there to help when the going gets tough. Because no one should have to fight alone.

Book two in the Tango Down duology, backtracks over the cliffhanger ending of book one and then the reader is off on another breathless ride. Again, Blythe, Marcus, and Adrian are the main characters, but this story also focuses more on Blythe’s best friend, Annie. She has been a single mother for all of her daughter’s life so is wary of men. Then she meets Tony, the millionaire backer of the private security company Blythe and the brothers run.

I must admit, I liked this book better than the first because I found single mother Annie more relatable, and it was a refreshing change to have a hot alpha male character in his fifties. If only I could find myself a Tony – mega-rich, single, kind, handsome, and fit.

If you like your book to be action-led with kickass heroines, hot heroes, and steamy bedroom scenes, then this book ticks all the right boxes.

In Trodaiche we meet Annie, once in the RAF Military police, and now rescuing runaways and victims of domestic abuse on behalf of a local charity. Annnie goes where most fear to tread, and on one of her missions she comes across an injured man.

Setting off her own personal alarm, her fellow ex MP and friend had given her, she helps rescue a man, who could change her life.

Tony is grateful for being rescued and wants to meet his rescuer. Annie doesn't want to get involved. Her friend has other ideas.

Annie is a wonderful character, suffering from her own demons, she tries to help others, and almost misses out on the one who would look after her. Plenty of spice, great characters, raw emotions and action to keep you reading.

This is the second book in the fabulous duology by this author, and I have to say it did not disappoint. The characters are all older, which is something I appreciate as I'm cracking on in years myself, and the action keeps you on your toes all the way through. Annie featured in the first book, but this one is all about her, although you will see some of the characters from Dionadair popping by as well. Annie is a feisty warrior of a woman who goes to bat for women who have been abused. Anthony is rich, something she despises, which, given her ex, is no surprise. Can she see the man behind the money? You'll have to read it to find out

Phew, that was tense!

Reading this as a mother of similar age to Annie was challenging. I totally relate to the emotional content in this book, but the action is much darker and difficult to read, mainly because it rings true. Well written, fast-paced, an absorbing novel.

Lockdown romance

Following Annie as she learns to trust and love again, while enduring the new reality the world faced because of the covid 19 pandemic is an enthralling tale. The way the plot twists around definitely keeps you from putting this down. Just had to keep on reading!

Hard to put down

Whilst not my usual read, I found the story difficult to put down. Annie is a brilliant character and her ‘second chance’ is more than deserved.

I enjoyed this story. It had excitement and a lovely relationship between the characters.

It was great to read about characters of a more mature age, it was a refreshing change of pace.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for this book.

💜 Annie is here! 💜

💜Book Two of the Tango Down Duet is here! Triodache was released yesterday! It's so good! I love the cover! It's purple!

💜 Have you read Dìonadair, Blythe, Annie's BFFs story? You don't need to have read the previous story to love this  story, but it will be so much more fun for you if you have!

💜 I am sitting here laughing myself silly at this quote…

🍀"Adrian is sitting in the guest chair whilst Blythe, who looks entirely dangerous and wind-swept, takes a pew on the sofa arm. I consider asking her not to do it, but she scares me."🍀

💜 Self: Um, Tony you may not have met her yet but Blythe isn't who you should be scared of!! Just saying! 🤣😂

💜 Me to self: Ah-Hmm! …but Annie's not here yet! She will laugh too! You know that!

💜 Self: Right! Book Review… could we just say they need to read the book because Annie is a strong, kickass, kind, adorable, single-mum, ex-RAF MP person, who is going to save the world one person at a time and she deserves her Happily Ever After! Particularly, with a sweet guy who will treasure her forever whilst making sure she stays true to herself?

💜 Me: Ok! That will work!

💜 Me: What was your favourite part of the book?

💜 Self: All of it!

💜 Me: No! Favourite!!?

💜 Self: I cannot say! It will spoil the book, they need to read it! Have lots of fun! Fall into a wonderful story then come and tell me their favourite part!

💜 Me: Ok! 🙄

💜 Self: Sorry, guys! This is a spoiler free zone! You will need to get your own copy to read!!

💜 What are you waiting for?

💕 Happy Reading!! 💕
