Without knowledge and awareness of fear, a person is vulnerable. Closing in with one's fear creates even more fear. Thinking about fear makes the feeling of that emotion even worse. This happens even without being aware of what we are really afraid of. When you focus your attention on the knowledge you have gained about fear, then you can use the energy of your emotion for your own benefit. Feeling fear does not mean that the situation is threatening. Feeling fear only means that we perceive the situation as threatening , and that is not necessarily true. It is our beliefs that can make a situation such that it causes fear. A belief that has been building in us for years has created a kind of inner voice. This voice announces its own truth, or what it believes. By listening to these prompts, we are vulnerable to stimulating our sense of fear. Also, dealing with fear is, among other things, about recognizing it correctly. When you identify your feelings and express them, you will be able to harness the energy of those feelings for your own benefit. Working with fear at the mind level involves influencing your own beliefs. It is the beliefs that cause the automatic thoughts that fuel the spiral of fear. Your internal dialogue at the level of your mind influences what you feel at the level of your emotions. By influencing your thoughts, you can therefore indirectly influence the emotions you feel and the fear you experience. You can analyze each thought and change it to a different one.
