Not by design. While I've had a string of crappy exes, he wasn't actually one of them. Just a one night stand, a big oops, and no way to find him again when I discovered what happened six weeks later.
But now fate or luck has brought us together again. I'm headed to New York for fashion week to showcase my newest line and Noah ends up next to me in a bar, the former high school football star turned GM of New York's football team.
He's hot as ever, and so is our spark.
But I've been burned before. And what he doesn't know can't hurt anyone. Right?
I think this is a decent read. I enjoyed it. However, I'm still on the fence about Raven and her reasons for not telling Noah about his daughter. I mean, I understand why she did it 6 years ago but now they're reunited but she still didn't want to tell him because their lives are on different continents. It's more like she's trying to protect herself from getting hurt again, not really thinking that Noah and Ava needed to know of each other's existence. And it feels like an insta-love between them too, there's a connection between them and Noah wanted to change based on that connection. However, of course, Raven doesn't trust that he could've changed. Again she's protecting herself. Idk, this book could've been better IMO. But I loved seeing Noah's relationship with Ava, they're cute together.
The book starts right when Raven is getting ready for fashion week! Hazel throws you right into the story. You get the background as you read and it took me a little to adjust to the flow but once I read more I started to enjoy the story and really got into the characters and what was taking place!
Noah is a man who has had his dreams stripped and has had to adjust! He is very living and caring but permanence hasn’t been for him till his past shows up!
Raven is a strong female lead who is working her butt off for her goals! She has a beautiful little secret and revealing it might de-rail the week of fun she’s having with Noah!
This is my first Hazel novel and I enjoyed the read! I am now deciding which book to devour next!
Years ago, Raven and Noah had a night that gave her the most important part of her life, something she's kept secret from him ever since. Not that they've been in each other's lives much since then, but still, she had opportunities to tell him. Now that they're back in each other's orbits, though, it's inevitable Noah will find out. Will he forgive her for keeping such a big secret from him?
I understand, to a point, why Raven felt the need to keep secrets from Noah. Back when she knew him before, he was a jerk, a commitment-phobic jerk who didn't want anything to do with relationships, love, or family. But, she still should have told him. Noah though, wasn't such a great catch either, and I just couldn't connect with either character. That's why 3 stars rather than higher. Though this was well-written, I don't like Raven or Noah and if I don't like either of the leads, I can't justify a high rating.
ARC provided by Grey's Promotions for an honest review.
I wish I could sit here and say I loved this story. I am a lover of secret babies but I do have issues with the justification Raven had in not disclosing her daughter from Noah for so long. I feel like she could have tried harder. At least a letter of some sort if she didn’t want to face the possibility of rejection.
Raven sleeps with Noah years prior and then finds out she pregnant. She flees to Paris, where she ends up building quite an incredible life as a single parent. I love the female empowerment shown in this book and her independence during a time many struggle. But the fact she returns to New York, sleeps with Noah again and continues to omit her daughter’s presence to Noah didn’t sit well with me. They hadn’t been dating. He wasn’t the love of her life years ago. They had a connection and he was a womanizer. So I just couldn’t back up this storyline to the fullest.
I felt the writing was done well and the flow of the book worked. I took off 2 stars because of the premise of the book just not sitting well with me overall.
Raven is a successful fashion designer and single mother to her five-year-old daughter Ava. While in NY she has a chance encounter with Noah the man she was friends with while in college and the father of the child he doesn’t know about. The chemistry between them is undeniable but will her secret be shared or kept?
Noah had dreams of playing football professionally until an injury derailed his playing career, but he found a place in team management. He is single and intends to stay that way until a woman from his past has him reconsidering what he really wants from life.
Both Noah and Raven had some choices to make as they must decide what is best both when it comes to their daughter and each other.
Secret baby books are my kryptonite and I just can’t get enough of them so when I saw the the cover and blurb for Love, Maybe (Baby?) I was beyond excite to dive in. The book starts by diving right into Hazel’s world and life. The story was fast-paced with both current and backstory interlacing as you read. A little difficult to follow, but once the story gets going we were off running. I liked Raven. She was strong, determined, driven, and a total goal digger! We love to see that in a heroine. The connection she shares with Noah was good and I enjoyed them together. My issue was the reason that Hazel kept their daughter a secret from Noah and continues to do so throughout the story. Aside from that it was a goo story with great writing.
My first read by Hazel Parker and I really did enjoy it. It's a super light and fluffy read. A really nice change of pace after all the dark romance I've been reading. Raven and Noah were wonderful characters. I liked that we got background on the why's and when's surrounding their story. Noah also seemed to have a good redemption arc going on. The man changed for the better for Ava & Raven. A super sweet secret baby, second chance romance. Loved it!
This was a good second chance romance. I liked the characters and the storyline was pretty good. It was entertaining and it was a quick read. I enjoyed the ending. I recommend!
Though I was anxious to read Noah’s story, when the last book I read was available on Kindle Unlimited, I had to pounce. I have been waiting for a good opportunity to read it as It’s been high on my list, and I had to read it before Noah’s story. In his book, I had hoped it would be written differently. I wanted a story that starts when Noah and Raven get together in the past and then work its way to the future like Doctor Playboy did and what one of the books in a past series did. It would have made me gain a bigger connection with both characters and understand what really went down between them. I would have loved reading about Raven’s moment she finds out she’s pregnant and the night that led up to it. I would have loved to read about Noah’s first thoughts upon seeing her the first time. I felt this would have given more depth to the story and gain an understanding what they were both feeling in those moments. This story captured current time instead and I felt like a part of the story was missing. However, what consisted of the book in current time was good and kept me interested. I didn’t start getting the feeling of not being able to put the book down until the middle though. I’ve noticed my streak of not gaining interest until either the middle or the last half in the past few books and I’m not understanding why. Maybe it’s because the action doesn’t really happen until then? Or maybe the books I’ve read that started like that is just because the author wants to draw out the stories to test people’s patience or just warn people to take their time with relationships and let the cards fall where they may. All this combined warrants a 4 for me, because I did enjoy the book, characters and story regardless with how I wish it started differently and it’s because of that I feel I cannot give more than a 4. It makes me curious to see how the next books go.

This was a really hot, sweet and sexy secondish chance at love for Noah and Raven. They knew each other in college and this story takes place sixish years after college. I really loved this story and all the characters but there are a lot of coincidences in this story and I loved them but other readers might object to all the coincidences.
Raven is a single mom who lives in Paris with her 5 year old daughter. She moved there after college because she was pregnant and couldn't reach the dad in question and she had family in Paris who could help her. In those years she has done really well for herself and she is in NY for fashion week to see if her company should branch out to NY as well.
COINCIDENCE 1: Her first night in town she runs into her ex at a bar and has a one night stand with him and lies and tells him she is leaving town.
COINCIDENCE 2: Meanwhile she is busy during fashion week until she runs into him again at a different bar and he asks to see more of her.
The big deal is that he is her babies daddy and she has no plans to tell them especially when he shares his view on parenthood.
COINCIDENCE 3: Then there is a freak snow storm which ends up giving them more time to get close....
So how does he find out her big secret? Well you will have to read this story to find out. What's his reaction? How can they make it work if he is in NYC and she is in Paris? And also she has a crazy ex what will he do?
It was a really fun story. Not super believable but I still really enjoyed it and I really liked getting to know both Raven and Noah.
Note: I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Raven is a fashion designer in New York for Fashion Week. Michelle is her business partner. Raven creates the designs and Michelle handles the business end. Raven left New York for Paris six years ago. Her Aunt Maria lives in Paris and is taking care of Raven’s five year old daughter Ava.
Noah Spencer knew Raven in college and they slept together. He is a player who wants nothing to do with commitment. When Raven found out she was pregnant, she tried to get in touch with Noah but he did not respond.
Raven bumped into him when she arrived in New York a week ago and couldn’t resist sleeping with him again. All it did was reignite the feelings she has for him.
Noah works as the general manager for the New York Stags, an NFL football team. He wanted to be a pro football player but he hurt his back in a college game and damaged his spine. He knew back in college that he couldn’t be with Raven because he didn’t think he could give her what she deserved. After their recent night together, he was an idiot again and let her go without asking for her phone number or asking her where she lives now. But now, he keeps thinking of her and is not interested in any other girls.
Little do they know that they are both headed to the same hotel for a fancy Valentine’s Day party. Raven and Michelle are going to network for Fashion Week. Noah and Roosevelt Compton (Rooster), the coach of the New York Stags, are going because they want to hang out with all the models from Fashion Week.
Will Fashion Week be a success for Raven and Michelle? Will Raven & Noah see each other? Will they get together again? Will Raven end up telling Noah about Ava?
This was a first time author for me and while I enjoyed the storyline, single parent, I was not so impressed with Raven ☹
Raven got pregnant when she was young. She had a one night stand with one of her friends from college even though he was a player. She got pregnant and then he didn’t return any of her calls. She decided to move to Paris, where her aunt was staying and raise her daughter alone. Now she is a successful fashion designer and at Fashion week in New York and she runs into her daughter’s father, Noah, again. And even though they reconnect she just doesn’t think it will work out. For one doesn’t seem like his changed his ways, and two she lives in Paris and three he doesn’t want kids. So maybe this is just not the right time for them. Maybe they are just not meant to be…
I enjoyed the story. I liked that Raven was a single mom and she was an excellent mother and an amazing career woman. She seemed to have her life in order. When she meets Noah again it seems like she could have what she always wanted. Noah seems like a typical single guy. Living it up. Going out for drinks with is friend and meeting women, but also not finding the right one for him. So I didn’t like the way Raven judged him before she got to know him as the person he was now. I also didn’t like the fact that she kept making excuses of not telling him he has daughter. I felt like she wasn’t doing it for her daughter and more for herself by not wanting to get hurt again. Little Ava was just adorable from the little we saw of her. Everything else was just an okay read…
#lovemaybebaby by #hazelparker is an all new book coming soon.
Noah has always wanted to play in the NFL. But, unfortunately things change. He might not have been drafted, but he’s a well respected GM in NY. He’s been living the party guy bachelor life for years. He’s out and sees a girl from college, who hasn’t been around in 5 years. One night with her now, isn’t enough. They have a casual fling while she’s in town for Fashion week. But will he be able to let her go easily? Or will one secret having him jumping on a plane to get to her?
Raven hasn’t had it easy. She’s a single mom to a. 5 year old. Trying to build a fashion business in Paris, while making a better life for her and her daughter. When she’s in NY for Fashion week she sees the man of her past, the one who gave her her most prized possession. Can she have fun with him while visiting and escape unscathed? Or will their conversations weigh heavy on her and keep a very important secret locked down?
I’m not sure what to think about this book. Did I enjoy it? yes. Did the book give me some whiplash? Absolutely. Noah had a complete 180 change, which is great, but it was so quick how it happened, but then was miserable when he didn’t try to patch things up before Raven leaves. Then, makes life altering decisions and has now grown a heart. Raven battled back and forth to tell him about his child, but understanding why she didn’t. I would have changed somethings and maybe not dragged other stuff out? I’m not sure. Overall decent. I enjoyed the side characters. But for me it was disappointing after I liked her previous book so much.
Raven has been carrying around a secret for 5 years and know it’s about to come out, but how does she break the news……she doesn’t. What can it hurt?
Raven is in New York for Fashion week and happens to run into Noah the first day she’s there. She hasn’t seen Noah since college and then found out later she was pregnant. He ghosted her and hasn’t spoken to her since. She still has feelings for him, but will not put herself through what she’s already gone through again. So she told him she was leaving the next day.
Noah cannot get over seeing Raven again and for some reason only wants her. Going out to the bar and trying to pick up girls, has no pleasure for him anymore. He can’t believe he ran into her again, but she’s gone. His friend invites him to a fashion week party and lo and behold, there she is. He’s not giving up his chance to see and be with her again.
Raven doesn’t want to open her heart for him, but she’s starting to fall in love with him. Noah is falling for her too, but how will he feel after finding out that he has a child?
I liked how strong Raven was after finding out that she would be a single mom. She began raising her daughter on her own, but still managed to pursue her dreams. While Noah didn’t know anything about the baby, I liked that when he found out, he stepped into the role and helped Raven in any way he could.
Read Love, Maybe? (Baby) and find out how Noah and Raven’s sizzling romance turns out. I cannot wait to see if there will be another book in this series. Hazel Parker does an amazing job with her stories and characters.
He is the guy she can't seem to fully escape, one look from him and she falls under his spell all over again. He captured her heart back in college and all these years later he still has a hold on it. He's handsome, smooth-talking, and their chemistry is off the charts. But he's also the guy that told her he doesn't do forever's... and that's what she wants!
This is a story of second chances, new beginnings, chasing dreams and finding that forever kind of love. Raven and Noah met in college and unexpectedly found sparks, sparks that lead to a steamy unforgettable night together. Then morning came and they went their separate ways, and acted as though it never happened. But something definitely happened that night! As years have passed and their lives have changed, their thoughts about that night have always stayed the same, they should have held on when morning light came, instead of walking away. Those thoughts haunt them often, but the result will always be the same, Noah isn't cut out for love. He isn't the guy she needs... or is he?
The pages of Love, Maybe warmed my heart, made me smile and kept me thoroughly entertained! If you like sweet and heartwarming romances then I have no doubt you'll love what you find between the pages here! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
Raven and Noah knew each other in college and after getting drunk spent the night together and it resulted in her getting pregnant and he not returning any of her calls. So she left, moved to Paris to stay with her Aunt, had a daughter and started her own clothes label. In the past five years she met Michelle which changed everything and now they are partners in Ruby Blue and they are going to New York for Fashion Week. The first night in NY she runs into Noah at a restaurant and they end up together but she tells him she's leaving the next day but again they end up spending time together until she leaves to go back to Paris. Noah Spencer played football in college and was going to go pro until he got hurt. Having to change majors and expectations he studied to be a general manager and is for the team that is the NFL champs. He doesn't do relationships, plays the field but after seeing Raven again he hasn't wanted to be with anyone other than Raven. They still have lots of chemistry and enjoy their time together but they both have issues that need to be resolved. He said he didn't want kids and she hasn't told him he's a father. So what happens now? Will she tell him? Will he change his mind and oh don't forget, she lives in Paris and he in New York.
Disclaimer: I received an ARC copy of this book but borrowed it on Kindle Unlimited. My review is based off the finished copy available on Amazon
I absolutely loved this story. Raven is a strong, determined single mother who's trying to make the best life for her daughter in Paris and also make a name for herself. Noah used to be a hotshot playboy but since he's reconnected with Raven, that's all changed. Their romance picks up where it left off five years earlier, except Noah doesn't know he has a daughter.
Love, Maybe (baby?) was such a fun story to read. So why did I give it 3 stars? The editing ... or, unfortunately, lack thereof. This book has more than the occasional grammatical error. For me, this is a big pet peeve. I brushed it off at first because I was reading an advanced copy but when I downloaded the finished Kindle Unlimited copy, the errors remained. I can't get sucked into a story if I have to correct the errors in my head.
On that note, I enjoyed this story so much that if the errors were fixed, my review would be 4.5 stars. I adored Raven, Noah, and Ava. Fashion Week was something new and interesting to me and the sports romance was done very well.
I have gone back & forth about what I wanted to write in this review because I was pretty conflicted about this story despite the fact that I devoured it in one sitting. Raven & Noah knew of each other in college but weren't really friends but one drunken night led to them hooking up. Little did they know that Raven left with a party favor, and when she tried to tell him, well, it didn't happen because he was a selfish young man who was just annoyed that she called him more than once. Several years later, she runs into him during Fashion Week in NY, and they end up hooking up again since she's weak when it comes to him so when he sees her after that second hook up, they end up lighting up the sheets while she's there. I know there are probably people who judge some of her decisions, but I'm not one of them because it was understandable in my eyes because he was the one who couldn't be bothered in the past but I'm a hard a** when it comes to forgiveness so you know that's just me. Fate brings them together but will they actually take the second chance to become a family??! You know what to do to find out as I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
4.5⭐ Finally it's Noah's turn😁. After reading about him in Ex's & Oh's I wanted him to find his own happiness especially after knowing how much he lost and had to give up on his dreams.
Raven is a very inspirational character who valued her work as much as her family. A kind hearted single mom who is a successful entrepreneur.
You get to know Noah and Raven's back story along with present. Them meeting after 5 years and still having a connection. It was easy to read them fall for each other. Noah made me swoon when he takes the leap without any hesitation.
The only reason I couldn't give the book a 5⭐ was I found Raven's reason to hide about Ava unreasonable. I do understand in the past she was young and couldn't share but in present when it's not just fling but they are falling in love??
It's a good read if you are a fan of surprise/secret baby.
Thanks to Grey's Promotion and Hazel for the advanced readers copy 😊.
Noah and Raven have a one-night stand in college, which resulted in a surprise, and with him not answering her calls she moves to her aunt who is staying is Paris. Now Raven is a single mom to an adorable little girl called Ava who is 5-years old, and she is now a successful fashion designer who is travelling to New York for fashion week. Noah is a former high school football player, who is now the GM of a New York football team. Fate has destined Noah and Raven to cross paths again, and the sparks still fly between them, and they have another night together, but they both have issues to overcome. What will happen when Raven must return to Paris and Noah stays in New York? Will Raven tell Noah that he is a dad? This is an enjoyable story which is a 2nd chance romance, with undeniable chemistry, secrets, emotions, and love, which leads to an entertaining and compelling page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend.
"This is only the second book I have read from Hazel and she is most definitely on my radar now for all future releases. Raven and Noah’s book covers several tropes that I love to read and it’s hard to say which one ended up being the one that I enjoyed most. Raven and Noah are so good together but it was not smooth sailing getting there. Without giving away the whole storyline, their past plays a massive part in their current lives. And rightfully so. But the way Noah steps up when certain things come to light was not how I thought he would react. And let me just say it was so refreshing to read. There is also a great cast of supporting characters and two of them I hope end up in the next book together. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book." ~Sharon
This was a good second chance romance. I liked the characters and the storyline was pretty good. It was entertaining and it was a quick read. I enjoyed the ending. I recommend! ~Andrea
After a one-night stand 6 years ago with Noah Spencer, Raven became pregnant. After being ignored by him, she picked up her pride and her life and became a fashion designer. When she reconnects with Noah, she is climbing the ladder to success, but wonders about the what-ifs where he's concerned. The Noah she knows now is different that the one she knew years ago, but is it only a show? Noah has decided not to let Raven go this time around, but will their circumstances change what could be before their relationship even has a chance to get off the ground?
I liked this story for the most part. It held my attention while I read it. The characters are likeable and relatable. I really liked Noah. Raven may make you feel throttle-y sometimes, but I kinda understood where she was coming from in some cases. I feel she was hypocritical and unfair in some parts. Overall, though, I still think it's an okay second chance romance.
I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.
Love, Maybe(Baby?). I enjoyed this book. It had all the makings of a great second chance romance between to lovers lost in their own careers but brought back together again by chance. Noah back in school was planning his career in the NFL but a freak accident destroyed that dream. But he went on to become a manager with an NFL team. Raven after graduation was headed to become a fashion designer. She still became a designer but not in the US. She had an unexpected surprise at the end of the school year that brought her shame, so she decided to go to Paris with her aunt and she learned the fashion world in Europe. Raven and Michele came to New York for Fashion Week. To her surprise she runs into Noah. They rekindle their relationship but Raven didn't know how to tell Noah he was a father, so she took her secret back to Paris were she was so unhappy. But Noah found out and came to Paris to claim his woman and daughter. It was a beautiful romance second chance at love to read.
I honestly felt happy reading this book, I thought everything was going to shit as it usually goes, and for a quick second it did BUT EVERYTHING WORKED OUT SO MUCH BETTER THAN I THOUGHT! Like, without spoiling much, Noah is amazing. Like he doesn’t even have an ounce of crappy, toxic dude in him. Like, he was, but that’s the amazing thing, HE GREW IT OUT! Like where is he? This type of guys don’t exist. Raven is just amazing as well, she starts as a beautiful wallflower but grows into the most confident strongest character. I love that for her and the reader to be honest. And don’t even get me started on little Ava, she’s the main character and she knows it.
Loved this book and totally recommend for someone who loves fast paced love, second chances and not an asshole MMC.
Tropes: second chance, single mom, reformed player.
I’m a big sucker for second chance romance. Noah and Raven were friends in college and one drunken night led to a surprise pregnancy. Raven tried to tell him but after not getting back to her, she decided to move to Paris.
Years later they are thrown back together and what started off as one night for old times sake, turns into a beautiful love story. Raven is battling with her head/heart on how far she should let Noah in. She is also dealing with an ex boyfriend that can’t take no for an answer.
Noah is finally ready to give a relationship a shoot but can he forgive Raven when the truth comes out? Will Ravens ex continue to cause issues? Will that be the last straw for this new fragile relationship?
I absolutely loved this book. The emotions were real and gut wrenching with just the right amount of spice. Definitely recommend this book.
This book is well written and the plot is typical for second chance and secret baby romance. The story's steamy for sure because Noah and Raven can't keep their hands of each other. There is an angsty feeling because of Raven's conflicted feeling. She had been burned by Noah once so she's afraid the history will repeat itself but she still wants Noah. Noah is a player through and through but when Raven comes back to his life, he wants only her. Well... since second chance and secret baby are two of my favorite tropes, I enjoy reading it anyway even if it has nothing intriguing. But I also I want to know more about their first time meeting, aside from Raven's memory that is. The lack of prologue makes me feel like I'm missing something while I read through the book and it nags me. That's why I decide to give the book 4 stars.
If you want to read a good second chance romance, you need to read Love, Maybe (baby?) where designer Raven Kirby runs into the guy that made her move to France and stay with her aunt while she built up her business. Raven didn’t expect to run into Noah Spencer in New York for Fashion Week but now that she realizes that the spark is still there.
Noah Spencer thought it was just a fling after finding out Raven had a daughter in Paris, but he couldn’t get her out of his mind. Could they have a future when she tells him that they have a daughter?
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author and Grey's Promotions. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Booktok is really hating on pregnancy-tropes right now. Which I dont understand, because I often enjoy those tropes. Surprise baby, however is very difficult, because everthing hinges on the reason: why couldn’t she tell him about their baby. If the reason is bad, the book will struggle to recover.
The original reasoning was fair enough, could have tried harder but thats her choice and he seemed understanding. However, when they reunite….. I just didn’t follow her reasoning? I also felt robbed of their first meeting after they lost touch?
Those things adressed, I found it a cute book. They seemed to have a nice spark, and their relationship was mostly just sex. A quick, cute read.
