“I’ve always been in complete control... Until I met him" - Roxanne.
I never thought it would happen but it did. I fell hard for a man who’s not only sixteen years younger than me but one who is also the heir to one of the most powerful families in the country.
Falling for him was a mistake that might cost me my business, my reputation, and God knows what else.
But despite everything, he turned my world upside down and made me believe in love again.
When I need to make a decision between what the heart wants and what is rational, all I can think of is him:
Melanie Martins is a digital entrepreneur, travel influencer, and the author of the series "Blossom in Winter", a forbidden love story between a young heiress and her godfather. Her debut novel has been labeled as "wrong", "immoral", and by others as a "masterpiece", "phenomenal" and a "must-read" creating a dedicated, loyal fan base of lovers and haters.
When she is not behind her laptop writing, she can be found globetrotting, reading, daydreaming, and sharing her adventures on Instagram and Facebook
Born in France and raised in Portugal, she currently lives on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Malta and can't get enough of it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Andries, book 2 of 2. How will their love hold up against secrets, lies, deception, envy in a world of power, politics, media under the pressure of a legacy!
Books in the Van Den Bosch duet should be read in order: Book 1: Roxanne. Book 2: Andries.
Andries Van Den Bosch, young heir to a legacy with the world at his feet just had his heart broken. Now he must navigate opinionated friends, a meddling family, the scrutinizing media and determined enemies, but above all his own conflicted feelings. Will their love survive?
👄 Age gap 👄 Against-all-odds 👄 Star-crossed lovers 👄 Multi-cultural
When I first started the book after finishing Roxanne, I was ready to jump in and find out what happened between her and Andries. I felt the book started a bit slow and had a lot of prolonged details that dragged on at times. I suppose this is because I am already up to par having read all of the other Melanie Martin books leading up to this. Once the plot got going, i was intrigued, and the read was faster and more interesting and a bit unexpected at times. If I had to find a dislike it would be that I found myself rolling my eyes at how the main characters were supposed soulmates and so deeply in love with such a strong connection and bond but it seemed like their relationship was mostly sexual. when they were together, I felt like the majority of what they did is screw, other than disagreeing about her career. Origuinally, they connected over physical attraction and one common interest. He is a young boy who lost his virginity and fell in love with an older woman. Of course, he is head over heels, and he just happens to be different than most men she has come across, extremely handsome, and good in bed. So it makes you think, is it really deep love? or lust. Im still left wondering what is it that they actually like so much about each other than mainly the good sex. I don't mind a spicy novel, but I like substance and storyline as well. In the end they find the perfect solutions to their problems and get to be happy together...so they think. The ending left on a cliff hanger, which left me wanting more. Overall, it was still an enjoyable read, just a bit of a long book for what it was. Although this book is intentionally a different vibe than The Blossom in Winter series and happily ever after series. I still perfer Alex and Petra's story. Their love and bond come through as much more developed, genuine, and hard earned. The Van Den Bosch series could get more juicy and more scandalous as it goes on. That is my hope, and that is what I look for in a Melanie Martin novel. This individual Novel gets 3 stars not because it isn't good, but no book gets 5 stars unless it's mind-blowing good, and so it's not quite a 4 for me either. The overall all puzzle of the series may be though! We shall see.

I’m going to be review both books sense they were based on the same couple so bare with me… oh and by the way SPOILER ALERT 🔔 ‼️🚨‼️‼️
Let’s talk about this reverse age gap… I didn’t like it at first. However the more I read and got to know Anderis the more I was okay with it.
I did like Anderis. He’s an old soul with further made me appreciate the age gap a little more. As for Roxanne, she was great, I think the relationship with her mom made her afraid to open up however I’m glad to see that the relationship with her sister was ok if not tense sometimes.
Andries family got a lot of nerve!!! Like all the stuff yall pulled in the last series and you got the nerve to be mad your son is dating a postitue.. get over yourselves. Sabastin can go to hell in a hand basket. He basically uses his kids against each other and minipulates them into what he wants… gives off ick vibes.
Overall I enjoyed the books but I neee an emotional break lol

Somehow it all worked out and there was something about the intensity of the love Andreas had and his support system which was very endearing and made me buy into their love story. I liked this may to December love story. I liked Roxanne despite her life choices she did not let that block her path to true love.
Their love transcended all that and I forgot him coming from nobility turning his back on everything for sake of love was one of best part of this book. I love the unconventionality of the couples you find in Martins book and this one was just as good without the extreme angst of Blossom in the Winter. I was on edge reading that one but this was not like that but intensity was everything. Chemistry they had lit up the story. Highly recommend starting these series.

The book was good, boring at times dragging out different plots of the story. I cannot believe the editing of this book and the previous book in this series. It is awful!!! You need to read thru your own book before it is published and fix the grammatical errors. There are so many errors!
