Exciting space adventure!

The heroine: Cassidy - she was working in Chicago on a new collection of photos for a gallery she wanted to open when aliens came upon her and abducted her. The aliens implanted a translator chip in her head and sold her as a Terran slave to an evil crime lord. Though he lived in a palace, it was a prison to her, and he was a cruel master. She escaped from him and stowed away on a huge ship owned by another race of aliens called the Zivonians.
The Hero: Nyx - He is not able to sleep no matter what he does. He walks the ship at night with the thoughts of his decimated home planet and the brothers he lost. He has lived on the Oasis for five years now. The Oasis is the only ship that escaped the devastation on his planet with about one hundred of the only Zivonians left alive. Rok, one of his brothers whom he thought was lost, had found the Oasis. Now Nyx can’t stop thinking of Akos, his other brother, and hoping that he might be alive as well.
The story: Cassidy had been hiding aboard the Oasis for days. She had been sneaking around the ship, stealing bits of food left over from the dinners served to the Zivonians. She finally decided to try to take one of the smaller ships in the hanger bay, so she would oversee her own destiny instead of having to sneak around. She was of course, being an idiot. First of all, she is not a pilot, so I don’t know how she thinks she could fly an alien ship. Secondly, she already knows that human women are seen as nothing more than pleasure slaves owned throughout the galaxy, so where does she think she will go? And thirdly, she most likely has no idea how to navigate, so how does she think she will find anything at all in the vastness of space?
Luckily, after Cassidy sneaks on board a smaller ship, Nyx decides to go out and try to find his brother Akos. He happens to pick the ship Cassidy is hiding aboard and immediately takes off. When Nyx finally finds her, he is pretty nice about it and offers to find a smuggler to take her back to Earth after they land on the planet where he is contacting someone. Though I could see it coming a mile away, a smuggler willing to accept payment to take her to earth is about as trustworthy as a fox in a henhouse. Plus, even if she did make it back to Earth, wouldn’t she always be afraid that aliens would come back and capture her again?
This is one of those journeys where the main characters seem to keep jumping from the frying pan into the fire over and over again. There is a lot of danger and plenty of action. The two main characters come together in the midst of intense circumstances. I was on the edge of my seat for much of this book, expecting them to get caught at any moment. It was quite exciting.
This audiobook was narrated in dual points of view via dual narration. Stephanie Kay and C.J. Grey narrated the audiobook and do a nice job. C.J. Grey has a deep, gravelly voice and speaks in a slow tempo which works well for an alien romance. Stephanie Kay has a youthful sounding voice, and sounds very natural, not like she is reading. She is great at sounding anxious.

Liked this one. Really tightly edited. But it was a fun and interesting and suspenseful story. Perfect balance without being icky or scary. There is her past which was violent and it is referred to a fair bit but she’s presented as a strong determined woman and I really liked her.
The hero is a lot like her - not a surprise. And the “fated mates” part comes after they already fall for each other.
One glitch with the continuity.
Chapter 6: “The remaining Zivonian women on The Oasis are all mated,…”
Chapter 13: “There are very few unmated Zivonian women aboard The Oasis,…”
The epilogue was used for the next installment but there is a bonus chapter from the author for (repeatedly) signing up for her newsletter.
Other than that, this was a gem.
The hero is a lot like her - not a surprise. And the “fated mates” part comes after they already fall for each other.

Treasured by the Alien Maverick is the third book in the Warrior Mates of Zivon series by Presley Hall. It is a sweet read primarily because of Nyx, the Zivonian warrior whose basic character traits are good, kind, and sympathetic. The story has a slow build of passion and love on Nyx’s part and a slow release of fear on Cassidy’s side. She has been captured and abused for years by a slaver named Tarric—a cruel, twisted crime lord. Cassidy escapes Tarric as a stowaway on a ship docked for repairs, she is discovered by Nyx when she hides in a small ship inside the larger one, and he teaches her to love and trust again. Her previous life is sad, but she slowly learns to care for herself and for Nyx; that’s one of the best parts of the story. The worst or most tension-filled portion is when Cassidy returns to Tarric’s territory to help Nyx, who is looking for his lost brother—Akos. From Tarric’s records, they discover that the brother has been bought and sold as a gladiator. As Nyx’s people continue to hunt for a new world to inhabit, he and Cassidy set off to find and rescue Akos. It’s a good story, with good people, a good plot, and a good HEA ending.

October 23, 2023DNF 58%. Nothing wrong with it per se—I just found myself not caring about the MC’s or what happens to them. Perfectly basic sci-fi in every way. Set it down to read something else and now a month has gone by so I’m calling it.

A good read, mostly due to a strong FMC
This is the third installment in the Warrior Mates of Zivon series. Our heroine, Cassidy, was abducted from earth and was a “pleasure slave” for the past several years. She managed to slip her guards while on a trip with her master and stows away on the Zivonian cruiser, “The Oasis,” while the ship was in dock for repairs. She soon finds herself on an unexpected adventure with her soon to be mate, Nyx. They are looking for Nyx’s long lost brother, and Cassidy must face her fears and her past when their search takes back to the palace where she was held captive.
While this was an enjoyable read, it didn’t blow me away. I’m just thankful that the FMC wasn’t an annoying bitch like the last book in the series. Cassidy pushed through her fears and her past as a sex slave in order to help Nyx. He is the first person to her needs above everything else. He is instrumental in helping her deal with her past, she’s the hero of her own story really.
The plot was pretty predictable, but after a few real heavy series, light and romantic is kinda what I need right now. The epilogue sets up the next book, which is the rescue of Rok and Nyx’s older brother, from whom they were separated during the evacuation of their home planet. I do recommend this series if you like light romantic fare of a sci-fi nature.

Cassidy, a Terran kidnapped and sold as a pleasure slave, escapes and hides out on the Oasis. Nyx is guilt ridden over the thought his brother is somewhere out there in need of rescue. Frustrated and tired of waiting for the greenlight from his commander, Nyx steals one of the smaller ships and heads out in search of his brother - the same ship where Cassidy is hiding. She's terrified of all aliens after the abuse she's suffered but Nyx treats her kindly feeding her and promising to get her back to Earth. Nyx makes the arrangements but later learns the smuggler he bargained with deceived him and rescues Cassidy. The smuggler also gives them a clue as to his brother's location. Cassidy knows the best place to find out more is from the slave owner from whom she escaped. Nyx is vehemently opposed to the plan even if it means not finding his brother. Their time together brings them closer together and Nyx shows Cassidy how pleasure freely given feels. Trusting each other they go to the pleasure planet in search of more clues. Their presence is discovered and they have to fight their way out. Not only do they find what they're looking for but they also rescue her friend and the soul mark appears confirming they're mates. Another strong entry in the series with lots of heat, heart and action.

Trigger warnings wouldve been nice~
And this was much darker than the first 2...
Enjoyed the series though and i believe this is the first time theyve mentioned the other alien series in the this universe so im hoping that means they will end up joining them planet side.
Anyhoo the next book with the gladiator thing seems exciting and well frankly im just glad it doesnt look to be on a bloody spaceship. Also the chicks friend syra. I guess thats being set up as either another alien species series or maybe shell find a tan/green bunch of people and be able to connect the two groups somehow or something.
Oh and theres still no babies/pregnancy. Idk how much time its been in world but id say 2 months or longer. As theres overlapping time but yeah defs should be something mentioned by the third book... if they werent basically extinct then sure probs keep it to yourself but i mean any hope or conception is like holy grail to them and the first half zivonian half human that we know of so theyd want med tech like all day every day making sure everythings safe and going well. Also again no children of the zivonian mated couples. Like they got contraceptive in their water or something its unrealistic af.

I read an advanced copy of the book. Treasured by the Alien Maverick by Presley Hall is the third book in the Warrior Mates of Zivon series. It is an engaging story set in space, that happens to have Aliens, Abducted Humans and a romance to boot!
Main characters are Nyx, a male Zivonian Warrior, and Cassiday, a female human slave. Nyx has lost contact with one of his family members. He decides to go search for them. On his search, he runs into a stowaway on his ship; none other than Cassiday.
The story centers on the search for Nyx’s missing family member and the reason Cassiday is a stowaway. Can Nyx and Cassiday get along enough to share a journey? Or will their goals prove too different?
The story weaves attraction, desire and sexual tension throughout their journeys. A guaranteed HEA with engaging characters makes this book and the entire Zivon Mate series a “must read”. You won’t be disappointed.

This latest from Presley Hall is by far the best in this series! Right from Chapter One, you are at the edge of your seat with worry over Cassidy’s safety and her possible capture by unsavory characters. What she doesn’t realize, she has picked a Zivonian ship of honorable warriors. Nyx and Cassidy meet … and their adventure together begins. It’s a roller coaster ride of exciting, nail biting adventure into the den of depravity. Well written the plot is solid and the characters are fully developed. The love story is truly heart touching as Cassidy faces her struggles with intimacy after being a pleasure slave. This is a must read for Presley Hall fans. If your not a fan of hers, you will be after you read this one.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Human Cassidy escaped from a cruel alien trader and has hidden on a massive ship full of Zivonian warriors. Thinking that she has found the perfect hiding place, she sneaks onto a smaller ship in the docking bay. Zivonian warrior Nyx steals a smaller ship to go on a dangerous mission to find his lost brother - the problem is he has picked the same ship as Cassidy is hiding on.
I enjoyed this story with the dangers, the dramas and the way that they grew to trust each other. I loved that they had to go back to where she escaped from and how they handled it. Cassidy was really a very good actress with the role she had to play but managed to get through it. They made a great team. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

I think Cassidy and Nyx are my favorites so far. Their stories are the most interesting at this point.
Cassidy has escaped her captor and managed to hide away on the Zivonian ship. She decides to hide out in a smaller ship on board to avoid any interaction with the aliens on board.
After being denied by the commander, Nyx decides to take it upon himself to go in search of his missing brother so he steals a smaller ship in the middle of the night. Days later he finds his terran stowaway and their adventure begins.
Unlike the other women in the series, Cassidy was not lucky enough to avoid being trafficked and sold into slavery. So she is working through a lot of trauma regarding intimacy. And Nyx is a wonderful Consent King👑❤️.

Such a good series! Such an amazing Author! This book has all of the feels and tons of action. The characters are so well written I feel as if I know them. My heart hurt thinking about all Cassidy went through, Presley covers a very difficult subject with grace. And how desperately Nyx wanted to find his brother. The story holds your attention and just won't let you go! There is so much love and healing in the book. There is suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat. And of course there is an HEA! Cannot wait for the next book!

Peeps....hold onto your fellow Zivion.....its gonna get smooth, REAL smooth.
I can't shout it enough. This book was EXACTLY what the world needs right now. It had action, suspense, romance, and connections. This book let you settle into this series on a softer note, but SO much more powerful. Nyx & Cassidy's story was melting my heart. I loved the action, the connections, but the love barrelled me over. They are so different in So many ways, but for their character, and heart...they could be twins.
Please....do yourself a favor, do something NICE for yourself....go get this book. Read it, hear your heart purr, and thank yourself for some time well spent!

Third book of the series introduces Cassidy, a runaway slave stowaway on the ship NYC has taken to search for his brother Akos. They find out that Akos was sold at a slave auction. Everything NYC has tried to find Akos failed so they are going to the palace on the planet Cassidy had Benn enslaved. They get the information they need but are caught by guards and have to fight the guards. While escaping they open the pens slaves and exotic pets and encite a revolt of all the slaves there with the palace and the many guests. They get away and return to the Oasis to plan Akos rescue.

I couldn't put it down. Such a beautiful story of one males dedication and determination to find his other long lost brother. The lengths he will go to to find him, one being ignoring his commanders orders and stealing a small ship. On his quest he stumbles upon a human female stow away. Cassidy herself is running away from her own demons and doesn't trust anyone but together they can overcome any obstacle that gets in their way. Even confronting her worst nightmare. A beautiful love story unfolds right before your eyes.

What an excellent book! I loved it! Zivonian warrior Nyx is desperate to find his brother. It's something that really stood out to me in the last book, but it wasn't made a priority at the time due to the situation. Here in his book, Nyx ignores his orders and steals a ship. Cassidy is a human stowaway that happened to be on the ship he stole. This was a beautiful story of determination, dedication, loyalty, and love. Wonderful characters. Nyx and Cassidy have great chemistry and attraction. Great world building as always. An excellent new addition to this series. 5 stars.

This is another adventure read for us. The male protagonist Nyx leaving the Oasis to find his brother but in the process finds his mate who was right there all along, a stowaway.
The way he was portrayed and the way he treasured our female protagonist, you can't help but love him. Mind you, the female protagonist is no weakling. She is equally strong and brave.
This might be a romance story but there is action and suspense, don't forget the heat the story is packing. After their success, I am looking forward to Akos story.

Treasured by the Alien Maverick
This is the story of Nyx and Cassidy. This story started out pretty good. But then it changed. By maybe 50% in I started to wonder if it would ever end. There was page after page of listening to the characters thoughts and scenes of the spaceship they were on. Frankly, I almost put it down. Eventually, it started to change with more action and things started to change. I enjoyed the ending but wish heartily I had not been subjected to page after page of nothing much at all. There are sexual scenes that may offend some readers.

Be careful where you hide
Of all the places, of course she picks the wrong shuttle. Nyx and Cassidy make and amazing duo. The scene where Nyx experiences just a tiny taste of what Cassidy went through was a very powerful scene followed by what Tarric bragged about. I can't wait to read more of this series. Author Presley Hall devises the most interesting scenarios with relatable emotional backstories. The characters are many times forced to go through their demons, facing them head on. Another great space romance by Presley Hall! I’ve really enjoyed how she’s expanded the universe in each of the Warrior Mates of Zivon books. This can definitely be read as a stand alone novel, but I have enjoyed seeing how the characters inhabit a broader universe in each story. Nyx and Cassidy have instant attraction, but I absolutely loved how explicit consent was in this story, especially given Cassidy’s previous trauma. I can’t wait to read Scarlet and Akos’s story!

If you haven’t read one of Presley’s books before you will not be disappointed in this there is chemistry and adventure and both characters suck you in you want to know more and you want them to succeed.

Treasured by the Alien Maverick by Presley Hall is the third book in the Warrior Mates of Zivon series. so this is the story of Nyx, a male Zivonian Warrior, and Cassidy, a female human slave. Nyx has lost contact with one of his brother Akos. He decides to go search for him. On his search, he runs into a stowaway on his ship and there we meet Cassidy. I love reading any of the series from Presley Hall. I want to talk about Nyx and Cassidy but might spoil this book. but I adore reading this. That since the unfortunate past that Cassidy went through, she was able to meet the one alien male who would protect her and treasure her. and the bring back the thought that humanity is still strong no matter what species. right? love this!

I loved all of this author's books, but I struggled with this one. This one seemed to move a bit slower than the first two in the series. There was a lot of repetitive lines, example the heroine kept thinking about her small cozy apartment. The people she saw each day as she traveled around the city taking pictures. The hero was patient, compassionate, and so tender with Cassidy. I loved that. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

This book was another good addition to the series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Nyx’s devotion to family and Cassidy’s determination to escape her captors (not knowing that they were “good” aliens) made for great characters that were easy to relate to and admire. And, of course, the romance was sweet and the action and adventure kept the story moving along. I enjoyed the story and happily and voluntarily reviewed it.

Cassidy and Nyx make a great team in this story of a brother"s need to find his sibling and a woman going back into the lion's den for the alien she has become seriously attached to. A great storyline of honour, betrayal, dedication and determination as well as love and suspense in this, the third book of the Zivon warriors series . Thoroughly enjoyable read!! Presley Hall never disappoints!!

Great series!
I’ve enjoyed a number of Presley Hall’s warrior mate series so far, and this new series didn’t disappoint. I love Sci Fi books with the mated fate trope.😍😍😍
It’s interesting to read the different ways each of the mated couples encounter their mates and the varied adventures and experiences, (both good and bad), that they have to live through until they get their HEA🥰 Overall, a wonderful and highly entertaining read! 😘

Scared and alone.
This is a wonderful story frightened alone and trying to get home. This is a jorney that brings too lost people together to find love understanding and a common goal. You will not be disappointed with this story. This author now how to keep you interested till the last word. Can not wait for the next book in this series.

Kidnapped from Earth and held captive for years Cassidy finally escapes and is hiding aboard a Zivonian ship. Zivonian Nyx is desperate to find his brother so he steals one of the small ships in the docking bay. The one where Cassidy is hiding. So starts an exciting adventure for the two of them. Action packed and of course a steamy romance.

Twists and bits added to the story. Liked the main couple and his way of slowly courting her. His gentleness with someone that experienced so much violence was great to read about.
Was a little disappointed that her friend did not ride with them. Thought they would go with her to reunite with her family.
