This book is a light at the end of the self-help book tunnel. Different from the rest. Highly motivating. I keep coming back to it. Chung feels like a friend by the end of it.

While admittedly I took a lot longer than 40 days to finish reading it, I feel like that led to better digestion. Whatever pace you do take, it won't be wasted time.

A 40 day journey into self and self actualization, which is what we all know or may not know is the basis of manifestation. Laura give exercises and practical advice based on her journey, studies, and books she has read to help guide you through her process. This book is great if you are someone like me who likes a structure or has a morning routine already to add on. I enjoyed reading this book as it is easy to follow and at the end of each day there is a “real life” component and exercise you can do. This book is great for beginners entering the “spiritual” aspects of their lives. 10/10 would recommend.

This a is a very powerfully-written book because the writer is so candid about her own journey and evolution in her abilities to manifest. What is refreshing in a spiritual book is how the author is prepared to address psychological issues that may be hindering results. The expression that comes to mind is "you manifest who you are." What this means in practice, is that if you are holding onto hurts and grievances in your energy, that is what the Universe will show you when you are manifesting. Laura Chung resonated very deeply with me when describing second-generation issues she had taken on from her lineage. There is so much in this book. I read it three times at the start of the year.

This book and practice brought me an immense amount of peace and a permission to let go that I didn’t know I needed.

Laura’s practice offered an expansive menu of tools to reach for when manifesting from meditations to gratitude to introspection. I’ve followed many manifestation coaches and they all seemed to offer the same 2-3 methods, but now I feel I have more options.

I respect and appreciate Laura’s acknowledgement of trauma, mental health hurdles, and cultural/societal programming. I was exhausted by the emphasis of “just think positive” creator and speakers that act as if mental health and deprogramming are not valid barriers to manifestation.

Laura’s empathetic approach to sharing her own story throughout was beautiful and meaningful. Her book gave me a reason to get out of bed during a difficult time and started my day with creating a trusting relationship with myself, my own energy, and a higher power. I’m so grateful she put this book into the world.

An excellent book on achieving what you want in life. Regardless of whether you buy into the manifestation concept, the author has much good advice for working through your issues, improving your mindset, and working towards your deepest held goals. She skillfully weaves in her personal story in a format offering daily lessons and topics to think about. The book is beautifully written and thought provoking. Highly recommended for anyone thinking through past hurts or hoping to live a better life.

This book has helped me focus on what I’d like to bring into my life and some of the things holding me back. I appreciated the exercises at the end of each chapter.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my digital copy in exchange for an honest review. I requested this because I am really into manifestation and you can never know too much. Honestly this had a lot of information I had already learned from other books but there was some info in there that I had not yet heard about. And that was really all I was asking from it. What was a little different in this book was that each chapter had little exercises you could do based on what you learned in that chapter. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who is wishing to get started.
