I’m a graphic artist by day and author by night, writing real, raw, racy romance. My book boyfriends are inked heroes who like fat, fun, and feisty women (sounds familiar).
My goal is to spread body positivity through my fat and fabulous curvy heroines with a good serving of British humour on the side (not forgetting an extra helping of alpha goodness).
On the very rare occasion I’m not working in my day job...or night job as a writer, I'll be living my best life in the heart of England with my other half, two wildlings (otherwise known as Veruca Salt and Mike Teavee), and a randy cavalier pup.
My serious book fetish travels with me in our tin cruiser as we roam the English countryside. You’ll usually find me in a field somewhere or curled up on the sofa with a coffee (wine), blanket and dog to keep me cozy, and a good steamy book to make me w—warm.
I was so excited to read this book as I loved the first book so much. This book did not disappoint.
I love the fact that the main female role Steph is an overweight, full time working mum. Her character is very relatable. There is so much chemistry between Cal and Steph.
This book was the perfect ending to their story. If you enjoyed the first book then you have to read this one. I have a huge book hangover and cannot wait for More of this Authors work.
I was given an ARC copy in return for an honest review.
Ok, full disclosure - the beginning of this book frustrated me: missed opportunities, misunderstandings, and the main characters just not speaking their minds. Based on the characters in book one, some of this felt out of character. But I had already invested time and energy in book one and the prequel, so I kept at it. And in the end it did pay off! Overall I really enjoyed the complete story… so just keep reading - you’ll like it by the end!
Amazing conclusion to the series I waited for this book after reading the first one and oh boy it did not disappoint. There are so many highs and lows and more importantly fantastic steamy moments. Love this series so much
In this book, Steph realizes to choose her and be happy. But she may be too late as Cal is moving. Not long after she finds out she is pregnant, is the baby her soon to be ex-husbands or Cals? Will she stay with Justin? Will she end up with Cal? This is a must read to find out!
Thoughout this book you read scenarios that are so relatable it could be real life. That is one of the many things I like about this book. Annie Charm is phenomenal and I cannot wait to read more from her.
Thank you Annie for gifting me this copy to read, all thoughts are my own.
I didn't think it was possible for book two to be worse than book one, but it somehow managed to surpass this long drawn out ridiculous relationship. This book was two grown people in their 40's and they behaved worse than teenagers. The premise was good but the execution was a painful read.
After reading the whole series, I can honestly say I am in love with Stephanie and Cal. Their characters are so cute and they really do tell just a normal story of love lost and love again. I cried like a baby. It was wonderful.
This series is just awesome. I don't usually read British romance (which is quite funny considering I live here, but maybe there is something about the unknown being sexier lol). I also don't read a lot of 'Adult' romance. My genre is typically NA Romance, but this series just hooked me.
I first read the novella about Steph and Cal in University, and I just needed more! Their friendship/relationship intrigued me, and I couldn't resist the bad-boy charm Cal gives off! After reading book 1 in the series, I was so excited to read Cal's point of view. To understand what is going on under the surface was amazing and gave the character so much depth.
I was lucky enough to work with Annie Charme as a beta reader for this book, and I have to say, she is an incredible author. Her way with words is so beautiful, and she doesn't sugar-coat things. Life is life, the good with the bad. In this book we get it all as Steph tries to make sense of her life, with or without Cal. The ending is just as lovely as the start, and one you definitely don't want to miss!
I again want to say, this book has cheating in it. If that's something you can't read about, then pass this one by. If you choose to read the book, and you penalize the author for the cheating aspect, shame on you.
Oh the angst, oh the heartbreak 💔, oh the love for these characters . . . . the level of the angst this book takes you too is the top level. The heartbreak made me cry at times. The steam factory made me reach for my glass of wine, chocolates and fan . . . and I laughed out loud at many of the funny part.
Prior to this series, I had not read anything from this author. The truth is, she is new to the scene. I loved the first book, forever yours and this book blew me away!!! Annie Charme has now been added to my one click list and I will be circling back to read the prequel which you can get for free when you subscribe to her newsletter.
This book 2 in Steph & Cal’s story. I love the fact that this heroine is a normal woman, with some extra weight around her hips, being conscious of her body and having insecurities we all experienced at least once in our life. Working full time and looking after her kids. Cal is hard to be called everyday Joe, but you know where I am heading here, both of them could live next door and are very relatable. Not an easy love story, quite opposite, a lot of angst and some serious heartache. Just for a second I thought author is going to take a shortcut, fear not, no shortcuts, no easy straightforward ending. This book holds your heart to the very last page. I don’t want to give anything away. Make sure you’ve read book one of this fantastic duet.
Started with Forever Young, then immediately bought Forever Yours and then Forever Mine. (What would I do without ebooks?!?!)
I was sooo involved with these characters that I had to force myself to put the book down to go to sleep. One night it was 4 am. Last night when I finally finished Forever Mine, it was 6 AM.
The relationship between Steph and Cal is one that you have either have experienced or wish you had. The emotions are honest, the storyline not always happy, but there is always the unbreakable thread of their love from beginning to end.
First of all, the plot sequence was terrible for these novels. I thought maybe I could overcome it, and stick it through, which I did, but it never got better. Not only that, this was the most toxic read I’ve ever had to endure. First of all, who acts like that in their 40s? Nobody that needs to. Second of all I really feel like the author. Should’ve just stuck with the prequel and given us that story of their break up and never taken it this far. She should’ve stopped while she was ahead.
I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this one and I truly loved it. This story had absolutely everything from heartbreak, hope, and a happy ending. There was quite a bit of steam to this one as well and it's sure to make you cry & laugh as well. It was really well done, you will definitely want to have read Forever Yours first to get the full story, Forever Yours can be a hard trope to read, this one to as their cheating involved (not a trope I'm overly fond of, but these books were so well done that I loved them). The relationships between the different parent figures and their loved ones were a fantastic addition to the story.
I was gonna rate this a 1 but considering I read the whole series I must have liked something about it, right?
Anyways. I just wanna say, for someone who has so much insecurities, the h sure has no problem calling other people tarts, hookers etc. Honestly, she came off as pathetic. The H was extremely unlikable too. The way he treated the h was horrible. But she's no saint herself. They both suck
This was a roller coaster. I hated them, as much as I loved them. It definitely took me longer to read this series than most, and even had to read something else in between, bc it was just so emotionally exhausting. BUT, I cried actual tears which says something for me, I’m still thinking about them hours later, and I am taking the time to write a review (which is highly uncommen), so apparently this book struck something in me. Just not sure if I want to smile, or cry 😂
This series brings on so many feelings... I love the author's writing style and her references to art in the series.
I had a lot of issues with the choices of the FMC in this series, I found myself annoyed at times, and just baffled with how she was dealing with her circumstance. The FMC also had a very toxic mentality and had me feeling bad for the MMC at times.. given that, I would still recommend the series because its a whirlwind love story that these two go through.
I loved the first one in this series, but I'm pretty sure I loved this one even more! It was so emotional and gripping I found myself crying at one point. You find yourself rooting for these two to finally find a way to each other. Their emotionals and turmoil becomes so real. Great job Annie Charme!
and she did it again. i loved this one too! the whole set was amazing i would read again had me pulled in on every single word. i couldn’t and can’t get enough of steph and cal. truly loved this. i also just want everyone to know i guessed j was cheating too! but anyways so cute and fun! loved loved loved!
Ah so great to hear more of Cal and Steph's story. So much emotion and it came through so strongly. Just brilliant. I loved the first book but this is even better for me it was just so much love and angst from both of them. Love this slice of real life love. Beautifully written story.
Provide with an arc for an honest review, thank you Annie for that. The continuation of Cal and Steph’s story was such a rollercoaster of emotional high and lows, that I couldn’t put it down. Steamy scenes were well written and smoking hot🌶🌶🌶🔥🔥🔥.
Oops, Second book in series. Lots of flash backs so didn’t need to read 1st one. Thought Cal was asshole 80% of time. Boring “all American Family” vive 50% in… boring so skipped to end which turned out to be worst. Wonder if 1st book would have been more interesting 🤔.
This story took me on a rollercoaster. Made me laugh, cry and everything in between. Such an amazing duet book, I felt like everything with the characters. Filled my soul reading this, though I nearly screamed at some points too. One of my favourite books of the year.
dark emotional hopeful medium-paced Plot- or character-driven? A mix Strong character development? Yes Loveable characters? Yes Diverse cast of characters? Yes Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes 3.75
Saw this come across my FYP and went with it, I loved/hated different parts of this book, I think most of it involved the MMC. Still a good read, any book the gets me cheering/hating on a character in book is a win. lol!
