This book was okay. I felt like Maya was very repetitious and for someone that "never cried" she cried A LOT!. Mostly though, I don't think it really got started into something interesting until chapter 29 when I finally accepted that this was going to be a throuple romance. Frankly, I would have enjoyed that more if we had had more time for all three of them to be together. the first 2/5ths is instalove between Knuckles and Maya the 2nd 2/5ths is rekindled/realized love between Skipper and Maya and the last little 1/5 is all of them together. That felt unsatisfying. Not to mention the sex doesn't start until well after half the book.
On top of the lack of time with them as a throuple, the solution they came up with seemed immature. The ending made me bring this down a star. Spoiler:
I really liked this new to me Author. Ralston did a great job with her characters, and I read this completely through without stopping.
About the book: Maya lived with her father who is an alcoholic and is physically abusive towards her. On her eighteenth birthday he left her with no where to go. Ralston really did a remarkable job with Maya's character. She explained in great detail the emotional tow a young woman would face living in that type of home as well as the yearn for something better. If you like sweet books, this is not for you.
Knuckles is the VP of the Restless Kings MC. He is tough with his hands, and expects everyone to pull their weight. When he finds Maya alone, he is immediately taken with her. He wants to protect and help her in anyway he can, but he is being pulled by his club. What these two feel for each other is real love.
Skipper is the VP for the Aces MC. Skipper is someone Maya has known since she was young. There is this level of togetherness, or intimacy between these two.
🔹MFM Motorcycle Club 🔹Insta love, I mean he sees her and they are in a relationship. Right this second. 🔹Virgin h 🔹You could say it's cheating
Extremely immature writing style, plot weak & not very well executed. The plot itself? Super simplistic, because how it's written it felt like practically nothing happens (there are shootings, k--ling but it reads like someone is telling a story rather than it actually happening- not sure if I'm making sense here) The 'throuple' part of the relationship takes up maybe 1-2% of the whole book. Se(x? Not very well written or imaginitive either. Granted, there is a bit of choking 😂
Overall- poor. Which is such a shame. I love MFM books, especially in a MC setting, there are so fer of them!
This was definitely a different side of the usual motorcycle club books I have grown accustomed to reading. When the author talks about this being 'dark', take that warning seriously. These guys are not the 'good guys made their own club' guys. These guys are the 'you touch her, you'd better be right with god because you're about to meet him' guys. Full stop.
I am not complaining that they took that approach with Gerald, mind you. If anyone deserved killing, he was most definitely up there in my list. That part actually took longer to happen than expected.
However, there are parts of this book that simply did not sit right with me, personally. The story is well thought out, well put together. I am simply not the kind who appreciates potentially gang-level violence from the protagonists.

It would have been much better without the addition of Dax. It really cheapened any possible love story that was building. Disappointing. I didn't really feel the love between either couple. This obviously would not have even remotely been possible in real life and most of the relationship building was crammed into the end. No part of it worked for me as soon as Daz showed up. I don't mind why choose when it's made clear up front that that is what is going to happen. This was a cheater who got her cake and eat ate it too. No thanks. I have 3 stars bc it was good until it was ruined with the cheating ridiculousness.
The idea for this book is good but I don't think it's for me. Too much thoughts and not enough action. I like long books that are action packed but this one felt like I was reading a eight hundred pages. I kept checking what page I was on and thinking when was something new going to happen. Don't think I'm going to read any more of this series.
I enjoyed the concept, but I guess I had a hard time believing two rival motorcycle gangs are going to suddenly be just fine and dandy with basically getting along with no trouble at all, because of just one girl who wasn't even raised in either club. With both men's propensity for violence, it just doesn't seem very likely, so that's really what lowered my rating the most.
This is a story of a innocent young lady always on the run, Maya. Maya is innocent outsider from motorcycles club. Then she was kicked out by her father, or Papa out the moving car in the desert he abused Maya since her mother is an drug addict. Maya is twelve years old the 1st time it happens. Then Hendrix, knuckles finds her and was immediately attracted..
Lost me when skipper (OM) took maya to his club house and they kissed and I realised this was gunna turn into a throuple. Didn’t match the story, made no sense. The math wasn’t mathing. A shame, the story had a lot of potential.

I don't do reviews well... but I really thought this was a fantastic book so hot and loved how it worked out for Maya. This book is an awesome start to the entire series so far. Enjoy!!!
This is a why choose MFM story with a difference. Maya has fallen in love with two men Knuckles and Skip from rival MC clubs. I was intrigued how this was going to end but it worked out well for all three of them.
I didn’t know what to expect as this author is new to me. I’m pleased I took the chance, I really enjoyed it. I certainly wasn’t what I expected. Loved the ending.
I really enjoyed this book. However, the reason I gave 4* instead of 5* is because some of the execution was lacking. I get that this is a throuple (LOVE IT), but they weren't really a throuple except in one scene at the end of the book. The first half of the story felt like it was Maya/Knuckles, and the second half was Skip/Maya, and then at the end there was one scene with all three. Which also definitely needed more build up because it seemed like an afterthought.
