Jazz singer Zoe Davis is facing eviction due to a teensy, ill-advised fling with her landlord, so when Gabe Reynolds offers the apartment over his garage, Zoe knows better than to get involved with her landlord again. No matter how smoking hot he is.
Former shark lawyer Gabe returns to Clover Park for the stress-free lifestyle only to corner the market on ridiculous “legal” cases. When Zoe comes to him asking for legal advice, Gabe’s solution is a shock even to him.
Gabe’s got good reason to avoid anything permanent, and Zoe is done with temporary. But when passion flares this high, some things are beyond good intentions. Some things are out of control.

This is the second book I have read by this author and I will say that I just love the writing style. The entire book flows so smoothly and there is this unique way she writes and makes me feel. I just love it!
Zoe and Gabe felt like a real couple in many ways - their interactions, their relationship, their respect for one another. I loved seeing them grow individually and together. The unparalleled support Gabe had for Zoe was touching and very very much what made me love him. Zoe gave Gabe the one thing he needed most, someone who understood him and was his "other half".
Now that was what I have been waiting on. Zoe and Gabe was the real thing. His affection and loyalty to her showed no bounds from beginning to end. She showed him what real love was all about and he showed her not all men are your friends or sleaze bags.
My heart broke for Gabe past but it soared for the understanding and love in which he got throughout from a family born of true love and commitment.
Kylie brought the real with this one. Heartache, love, support, sexiness, and beliefs.
Gabe Reynolds I was so looking forward to his story after meeting him in previous books in this series, and let me tell you I was so not disappointed. Zoe brings out the best parts of his personality. I specifically loved they way they banter together. The story went so fast because (much to my husband to be frustration) I could not put it down until it was over. I already miss them.
Clover Park is back with the story of Zoe and Gabe in Restless Harmony. As per usual and much to my liking, we get to see a few other Clover Park characters make a cameo in the story, all the while giving us a new couple to love with Zoe and Gabe.
Zoe's family is full of entertainers who have made it to their own big time, but Zoe still struggles. As a jazz singer, her band hasn't made their big break. She's also unlucky in love, and her biggest goal right now is to finally strike a deal and sing her songs. She's got one pretty big problem though, until Gabe sweeps in and helps her out.
Gabe is dealing with the crazies of small town life. Once a shark lawyer, he now has the nit picky type things to deal with in Clover Park. Amusing to the readers, not so much for poor Gabe. He comes off as sweet, sexy, and a few times, the man annoyed me with his pushiness and he has a hint of a jealous streak. Or at least, that's how he came off to me. Kind of annoying. However, I overlooked that easily because he's so sexy. Then it came time to his real inner fears which he never let on to anyone and I totally felt for him. I wanted to reach in the book and give him a big hug. I do love that he wanted to make every dream of Zoe's come true. Some of the things he does in the story made me go "Awww."
The couple has a lot of obstacles to go through, and while Gabe is open to the idea of love, Zoe has her reservations, some of them having to do with more than her music career. The two butt heads at times because of Gabe's over eagerness to get what he wants, but in the end run, I totally rooted for them! When you open your heart to the possibility of a real love, anything can happen, no matter what the fears and dreams are. Sometimes, things don't always go as planned either, but occasionally, they make for the best surprises.
Kylie Gilmore is known for her humor and wit, but the last few stories she's also hit me with a lot of emotional feelings. I admit there were a few times I teared up reading this story. And now I'm having a dilemma because there are a few fictional small towns I'd love to go live in and I don't know how to make my rounds to them all. Oh wait, yes I do. I'll just have to keep revisiting the creations made by the author. Once again, Ms. Gilmore knocks it out of the park with another stellar read which kept me turning the pages. I can always count on a laugh and a cry, and characters to fall in love with.
I absolutely loved everything about Restless Harmony! From Gabe and Zoe's love story to all of Gabe's brothers. The family dynamics between Gabe and his brothers had me thinking of my own family. Vinnie and Allie are a true love story. I loved that Vinnie waited three years for her. I know that the main story is about Gabe and Zoe but I adored the whole family. Zoe is looking for a lima bean and tells Gabe that he isn't her lima bean. But what if he is? You should definitely read this story and fall in love with the Reynolds/Marino clan like I did!
I did not like Gabe at all. He had absolutely no respect for the girl who's name I can't even remember. I did not enjoy this story in the series, I believe that people, men in particular should pay attention when someone says no and not force the issue, which is what Gabe did at every turn.

An unexpected eviction notice from her landlord has Zoe Davis frantic to find a place to live, and fast. An offer from Gabe Reynolds for the apartment over his garage is an even bigger surprise. Zoe is drawn to the handsome alphs male but has a history of bad decisions when it comes to boyfriends and her last one with her landlord has her sure she can put Gabe in the friend zone and keep him there. She just didn't plan on his determination.
Gabe knew almost immediately that Zoe was special and he wanted more with her. Her determination to keep him at arms length is a challenge he fully feels up to. But death seems to surround him and when his world comes crashing down and it seems he is doomed for devistated in losing another person he loves will Gabe be able to pull it together and be there for Zoe when they are faced with more unexpected surprises?
The Clover Park series is a wonderful collection of great stories with fantastic characters and Zoe and Gabe's story continues the romance. This story is full of angst, tragedy, love, romance, sexiness, and unwavering support. Zoe brings out the best of Gabe and he needs her to show him how to be carefree. Gabe gives Zoe unconditional love. This is a great story, it is sweet and romantic and shows that family does not have to be blood relations to really care.
Zoe a jazz singer hoping for her big break is instead homeless. She had a relationship with her landlord and now is evicted. She seeks help from lawyer Gabe who is unable to help her case but offer her a place above his garage as a temporary fix. Can Gabe really fall in love with Zoe in a matter of a few weeks and make her understand he will help her out any way he can even if it means his job.
This is a very sweet story with an interesting plot. I would have given it 4 stars but I am a semi-prude. I don't mind some steam, it's expected in these books, and I do skip them. But this book had more than the other 4 books combined. And it was crude (I couldn't help seeing some of it while I was checking out where to pick up the story again.). Come on "He rode her hard". Kylie Gilmore is a much better writer to stoop to such crass comments.
Kylie Gilmore just keeps getting better and better. With her latest release in the Clover Park Series, Restless Harmony, we meet jazz singer Zoe Davis, who’s about to be evicted by her bitter ex-lover landlord. Enter Gabe Reynolds, a lawyer with a shark reputation. He offers her the apartment over his garage, and even lets her bring her mischievously destructive dog. Zoe has learned her lesson about getting involved with your landlord, but Gabe’s just as persistent outside a courtroom as he is inside, and he’s determined to get what he wants: Zoe in his bed.
Once again, the author delivers two characters with authentic qualities readers can relate to. Gabe is kind, smart, and totally hot, but glimpses of not-so-perfect character traits are revealed here and there throughout the story. Zoe is a strong and independent woman with big dreams, but some insecurities simmer below the surface. Rather than detract from the protagonists, these qualities make you root all the more for Zoe and Gabe to overcome these obstacles that could be faced by anyone.
The reader is also treated to return visits from a few of the previously established Clover Park gang. These appearances are like welcome reunions with old friends. Ms. Gilmore, of course, also brings her signature blend of quirky humor and steamy heat to the story.
Mix all of the above together, and the reader is in for a wonderfully satisfying escape.
Another beautiful love story from Kylie Gilmore! RESTLESS HARMONY, the fifth book in her Clover Park series is about the unlikely couple, Zoe Davis and Gabe Reynolds. Zoe is a talented jazz singer on the verge of her band’s big break when she is kicked out of her apartment by her landlord and ex-lover. She goes to Gabe, the former “shark” attorney who has recently settled back in Clover Park for advice on her rights. To his surprise and hers he offers her his garage apartment for the short term she thinks she’ll still be in town.
Gabe is dreamy book boyfriend material, for sure. He has had some serious heartbreak and likes to keep his relationships temporary, so knowing Zoe will be back on the road soon seems like perfect timing for a hot fling with the sultry singer. Neither of them put up much of a fight against the crazy attraction they feel and Kylie brings it with the steamy love scenes, but what really makes this book is the intense connection portrayed between the two. There are lots of obstacles, but once Gabe makes up his mind he’s ready to give his heart to Zoe the story becomes impossible to put down.
Like all of Kylie’s stories there is plenty of humor, witty banter, romance, steam and delightful characters that are very relatable. Loved this story and am really looking forward to the next one! 4 stars
First of all, I will read anything Kylie writes. Her characters and the dialogue are always so realistic, and the stories just flow so nicely. They keep me so engaged that I can’t put the book down! Restless Harmony was no exception.
Nextly, I couldn’t believe the unexpected surprise that happened most of the way through the book! (Don’t worry, no spoilers here!) I can’t recall encountering that in any romance novel I’ve read so far, and I really enjoyed the aspect that surprise added to the story!
Again, I think Zoe and Gabe were very realistic in terms of how they handled their respective life-situations. At times, Gabe came on a little strong, but aside from that, he was absolutely adorable! In a sharky-lawyer kind of way :)
Zoe was fun to read, and I found I could easily relate to her, especially when her mind went off on random trains of thought that completely distracted her from the world around her.
All in all, I loved it! I can’t wait to read more about the Clover Park residents!!!
***I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
Gabe is afraid to get close to anyone because too many people around him die. He makes an exception for Zoe because she makes him FEEL things again (and not just between his legs). Zoe has plans. She is going to be a jazz star. Men cant handle her traveling for gigs, so they leave her. At least that's what she thought, she later finds out there was interference. But it is for this reason she does not want to get close to Gabe and she keeps him at arms length. Oh but that's not the way it works. They get together anyway. They fall in love anyway. As with any other HEA Romance there has to be drama that gets in their way....and his name is Jordan. Luckily Gabe does not fall for his tricks. Although he really didn't do himself any favors when it came to convincing Zoe that he plans to stick around. With Gabe's fear of loved ones dying I kept waiting for something to happen to Zoe. Thankfully the author didn't want to put us through all that. I love that he thinks of her as his own personal sunshine. I'm glad that his alpha-maleness did not get out of control.
And PS.... I can't wait to read the next book in the series!!!
Zoe, a jazz singer hoping for her big break, is instead stuck without a home. She had an ill-advised relationship with her landlord and now she is being evicted. She asks lawyer Gabe for help, despite rumors he is ruthless and left his former fiance when he found out she was sick. He is unable to help with her current landlord, but offers her a place above his garage, as it will be a temporary situation. Zoe is attracted to him but wants to avoid him because of his rumored reputation and her horrible past relationships. Gabe has avoided any relationships since his discovery of why his former fiance agreed to marry him.
An explosive couple that takes a chance to be together even though is may only be temporary. They have some communication problems and try to do what they think is best based on previous relationships instead of their current situation. I love Gabe and his family. Reading about all of the brothers, their sibling dynamics, and their pathway to love is such fun.
I listened to the audio version of this one and fell in love with Zoe and Gabe! This is a great addition to the Clover Park series and one you don't want to miss.
Zoe is a singer who is working hard to get her and her band the big break they've been wanting. With all the musical talent in her family she needs this to really feel successful. Falling for the new town attorney was never in the plan. Gabe was suppose to help her with a little problem she's having with her apartment but when she finds herself rooming with the sexy attorney things get very interesting indeed.
The story was wonderful and the audio performances were fantastic. A very nice soothing listen. I highly recommend it.
Restless Harmony is Kylie Gilmore's 5th Clover Park novel, It tells the story of Zoe and Gabe. Zoe is a jazz singer/waitress while Gabe is a lawyer. Once again, Gilmore has written a fun story about interesting, likable characters. I read this 340 page book in one sitting. I didn't want to put it down! I have enjoyed every one of Gilmore's Clover Park novels and I look forward to reading #6-- Not My Romeo soon.
Restless Harmony, by Kylie Gilmore, is a story about Zoe Davis and Gabe Reynolds. After Zoe goes to Gabe for some legal advice, he offers to let her move into the apartment over his garage until she gets back on her feet. Even though neither of them are interested in a permanent relationship, they start falling for each other.
Restless Harmony is a great read. It’s a cute romance that will keep you entertained. Another great addition to the Clover Park Series!
Zoe is being evicted and she goes to town lawyer Gabe to help her. Gabe and Zoe already know each other but have never acted on the mutual attraction. Gabe comes to her rescue and offers her a place to stay. Zoe is leary of men because of her past experiences. Gabe only wants temporary. But you watch their love grow respectfully, they are friends and lovers. Gabe is a dream man, he is gorgeous and looks out for Zoe at all costs! Absolutely loved their story!
Second book I've read by Kylie and I loved it! Thanks for asking me to review it, sorry it took so long to get it done. I love Gabe! What a great man, with all the "bad" that happened to him in the past, and with all the bad luck Zoe had with men in the past and they find one another. What a perfect match! Can't wait to read about Vince's story
I loved this book. I loved how the characters' personalities really complemented each other. I really felt for Gabe. I was rooting for him immediately. Zoe was fabulous! I really liked her drive and determination. I don't like giving away parts of the story, so grab yourself a copy, and spend time with another great couple in Clover Park.
This book starts off with a good laugh and then gets hotter and hotter and hotter. Introducing a whole new clan of hunky men, Kylie Gilmore sets up another zany small town romance where gorgeous Gabe, a reformed shark lawyer and free-spirited, jazz singer Zoe go from lust to love in twenty page turning chapters. Enjoyable. Easy. Fun. And, oh yeah, hot!
I enjoyed the book but I was surprised at how clingy Gabe was. He was an alpha male and like to be able take over in bed but he seemed awfully needy. He had issues with his dad and fiancé dying but it didn't quite mesh with the other side of his character.
Than being said, it was a sweet book and I did enjoy the read.
