He knew he could never have her. But he had no control over his reaction to her, the Claiming of her that was out of his hands. He couldn’t seem to stop coming when she called, even though he knew she was only going to use him then reject him again, leaving him heartbroken all over again. That is, of course, until she needs his help…
She wasn’t supposed to want him. He was everything she existed to loathe—the evil she was meant to eradicate from the world. But there was no denying her need for him. The problem was, he always wanted more. And she couldn’t give it to him. But when there was a case she needed help with, there was only one place she could turn. To him. The closer they got, though, the more she saw that maybe it wasn’t just him who had feelings after all…

Dale and Minos’s story Demon slayer & Demon - Enemy to lovers…….
Once upon a time, this used to be my favorite author. Until she wrote this series, Now, let me tell you how cruel this author is to her readers…. Jessica has been teasing us with glimpses of Minos and Dale since the very first book in this series………… YOU GOT TO KNOW THAT I’M JUST KIDDING RIGHT !!!! ………. I love this author...
Let me try to tell you Lil about these two without giving away too much Demon slayer, Dale
Dale’s parents never thought this day was going to come. I mean, how could they? When everyone in the Community. thought the line was dead…. It had been two generations passed and no one got Called, Dale’s mother figured there was no reason to fill her head with all of it. She just wanted her daughter to have a normal life.
Dale was just being a typical teenager when she had her First sexual experience ……. Until she found out the hard way that she was a Demon slayer …..Let’s just say Dale was Traumatized after the event for good reason ( you know the hole ambulance ride, screaming pain from the boy she thought that she loved, and metal cuffs around her wrists.)and from then on she realize that she couldn’t be with a normal man………..
Rude wakeup call, I can’t give you any more about this couple, due to the fact that I told you too much already
Now I might give you Lil more about this series thought, Jessica did tease us bit about the fact there is a upcoming war…….. and that we might just see more stranger bed Partners In future books.
Ok this is a quick rough review I'll come back to. I just need to purge my thoughts before going to work. Excuse the crazy.
Well let's be honest here, the anticipation is REAL.
Did it live up to expectations??
IT SURPASSED THEM. BY A FUCK TONNE.
Minos is a demon. Dale is a demonslayer.
It's not only forbidden because HELLO!!!!!. It's her job to kill him. But also because years of old minded people say it's wrong. The expectations. Trying to not disappoint yourself because you're trying to prove everyone wrong. Prove that you're capable as a woman and just as deserving.
IT'S A HOT MESS.
My mind was split between feeling hatred towards Dale because she was hurting Minos and being selfish. But also feeling hurt for her and the pressure to live up to the expectations she build for herself. To see her fracturing under the uncontrollable pressure she felt.
It a ALOT.
Minos is perfect. He's sweet, he understands and he doesn't judge despite having right to. He wasn't perfect, there was only so much he could take before he broke but even in those times it was her he worried about. She was his priority long before she made him hers.
Dale is such a depthy character. She didn't choose her life it basically got driven into her before she could ever be prepared for it. She didn't have a choice. She lived her life to prove to others that she was capable, that she was just as worthy as a woman. I respected her strength and perseverance through that. I seen the fear she felt because Minos was everything she shouldn't want, couldn't have. She was selfless even when she was selfish and strangely enough that made my heart hurt for her because whilst she went out protecting people against unknown monsters. She hurt herself and Minos by denying them.
It was a cruel joke to set them together but it worked in ways it shouldn't. He softened her hard exterior, he was patient even when he didn't have to be and he showed her through time that he could be reliable and was in it just for her. She could be herself. It was nice not to have the big demon reveal and instead have a different kind of tension between the characters. I feel like whilst their journey wasn't easy it was well worth it in the end. They had undeniable chemistry and a connection that was built through the toughest barriers. I ranted and raved and their stupidity, I swooned at the sweet moments of vulnerability and I was SWEATING at their nasty wall breaking shenanigans.
They were it. It was hard and not even a little pretty but it was worth it to see their happy.
Oh let's talk about the fantastic world building we have here. Jessica is growing this world in ways I didn't see coming and I am all here for the journey. Minos and Dales story extends a few olive branches opening this world to endless possibilities and it's so freaking exciting. The series brought us many characters that add so much personality and keep things interesting and dynamic but now we have more to look forward to and so many questions about the characters and the world and what it will become.
We don't get as much of the other gals and guys in this story but we get some new faces and some real unexpected happenings that will for sure change the direction of this series. I'm excited. I want to know more about Gideon and Marsh and the others. Of course I want more of Arick the handsome high warlock and I definitely need to know what the hell is going on with Red and you know who.
I got questions. But also.... I'm so happy with this book. With Dale and Minos's journey. It wasn't all hearts and flowers and it's a little different to the other but in the best ways and with the most satisfying ending. As per with these stories you get to laugh and swoon and rant and rave like a crazy woman. It's a really cool world that's masterfully build with all the feels and endless potential. What's not to love.
What do you get when you mix a demon and a demonslayer? Explosive chemistry. The gods must have been laughing their heads off when they decided to make the fated mate of a demonslayer a demon.
We've know about Minos and Dale's situation though all the books. It certainly heightened the anticipation for their story. It was great to finally get to know Dale's backstory on how she became of demonslayer and about her side of life as a slayer and trainer at The Academy.
Speaking of Gods... Oh wait that would be a spoiler.. The author has made some big changes in the world for the Demons and the Demonslayers. Their lives are all about to change.. Cant wait to see what's next!!!
so i was so excited for this book because the blurb sounded phenomenal! all that pining, angst, tension my god!! i will say that the beginning sure had that but then it kinda fell off after like 30% so i was missing it a bit. dale (heroine) is a bit of a bitch and i was in love
they slept together once and they “Claimed” each other, meaning it’s painful to be apart, especially for the hero, so i loveeeed that! overall this was great, but there was a lot of plot and less of them as a couple and i didn’t love that. also didn’t love that all of the plot/action was packed towards the end cause it makes for a rushed ending. which happened in all of these books lol
So, how unlikely do you think it is to feel compassion for an immortal demon who runs with a demon MC crew whose parties encourage the worse behavior in humans, thereby damning them to hell? Yes, quite unlikely. But Minos fell in love with a demon slayer, the kind who literally kill demons or lock them in prison for eternity. The story of Minos and the woman he claimed, Dale, is action-packed and terrifying - not only because the couple struggle to come to terms with their unwanted but unavoidable bond, but because there are bigger and badder things that are coming... Stay tuned!!
MINOS!!! Whew.. are my eyeballs sweating? This book is smoking hot, and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It’s not a cliffy, but it did make me want more of the deeper story!! I cannot recommend this series enough!
From the moment we found out about Minos Claiming I have been obsessed with him. It absolutely broke my heart.
Minos is struggling after he Claims a Demon Slayer. He can’t help but wonder that Devil Daddy and The man upstairs are playing some sort of sick joke. Every time she calls he comes running. He couldn’t stop himself even if he wanted to. Minos has accepted the fact she won’t choose him back but it doesn’t dull the sting of rejection every time she walks away.
We. It was always we. Because, to Minos, there was no other way.
Dale! That woman! She is so stubborn it’s not even funny. She has had to prove herself in a “man’s world” and that has caused her to see things through defensive eyes. She refuses to accept that the one person who can truly satisfy her is a demon. She tries so hard to avoid seeking him out but the draw is too much.
I’d been trained to always be the hunter, to never be the prey. But my training had never told me that sometimes I wanted to be devoured.
Dale is so sure the Academy sees the world in a black and white good vs evil.
The chemistry is so good between them. I LOVE the fight **x scene! I want more! Minos adores Dale and I hit a point I wanted her to have to grovel but it’s Minos so I knew that would never happen 😂😂
“You’re not supposed to agree I’ve been a bitch.” “Then maybe you should try not to be one in the future,”
As always I love the rest of the guys and can’t wait to see where their books take us! Leave a demon on earth for too long and things begin to feel a bit different!
Love this book! This is one of my favorite series! Love spending time in this unique universe that JG has created. I see big amazing things. I love Dale. Badass Demonslayer that she is. I am glad Minos gets to show her something different..
WOW! Dale & Minos took Demonslayer in a direction I totally did not see coming!
I really thought after all this time with the multiple back and forth snarky type of battles in previous books between Minos and Dale that they would spend the entirety of the book fighting to one up each other until they finally figured out the Claiming.
I certainly did not expect the same Minos who has moved through the last several books to have suddenly seemed to have figured out how to get Dale to completely fall for him, and then for there to be so many more steps outside the original Seven Sins was a definite shock!
Dale's backstory with the academy was stunning, and yet somehow not, in that even as a demonslayer she was expected to perform better, faster, and with more accuracy than her male counterparts, otherwise she was going to be held to a higher standard if she failed.
At the same time Minos is somehow being able to track Dale, where before she's kept the wall between them pretty strong, he knows there must be a reason when suddenly the wall completely collapses and there's a problem. Jessica Gadziala's ability to spin a completely new story inside of what I had been expecting is truly out of this world, and if you've been waiting for Minos and Dale, I think you're going to be doubly shocked by the secondary storyline.
5 stars for two stories in one, and the beauty of Dale and Minos love in Jessica Gadziala's The Demonslayer!!
"I’d been trained to always be the hunter, to never be the prey. But my training had never told me that sometimes I wanted to be devoured."
I never thought that paranormal romances could be as hot as this series. I mean yes, this series is called Seven Sins MC, but trust me there is definitely much more than seven 😉
Minos and Dale's story is like Beauty and the Beast, I'm just not quite sure who the Beast is 🤭 Minos, the gentle demon or Dale the badass demonslayer?
Their fascinating story is not only scorching hot, but has an unbelievable fascinating topic. A fight of evil against the good that also has gray zones. In the shadows of the gray zones is where Minos and Dale's "love" exists. Until the shadows are no longer needed and this beautiful love can also exist in the daylight.
I love this action-packed, gripping page-turner. I love the characters and their antics. I love the author's unique sarcastic humor. This book is a must-read for all paranormal romance lovers 😈
"And as I slid back into my borrowed shirt an hour later with Minos a few feet away, but his damned loyal wing reaching out toward me, I knew I found it. The very beginnings of happiness."
This series hat so many wonderful creatures. I can't wait to read about them all, but Arick's story is a must 🥰
A Demon and a demon slayer. Born enemies but there chemistry is off the charts.
Dale and Minos can’t stay away from each other. He knows she’s his mate but she is resistant at every turn. Crazy good story. Smoking hot!!
Don’t get me wrong, I knew she’d been beautiful when I’d first seen her. Blonde, curvy, green-eyed. This felt different though. It was almost overwhelming how gorgeous she was to me at that moment.
This series is going into a different direction in the future and I’m right there along for the ride
We finally got to read about Minos and Dale! The story is better than I expected! Dale is a Demonslayer, and aminos is a Demon. You can only imagine how well it will go over when people find out they are together. Dale is a tough ad nails chick. She was forced to be after she became a demonslayer. The two of them combined are lethal, in so many ways! This was a fantastic story. I can’t wait to get more! More demons, and any other character I can get!
Minos and Dale finally getting their happily forever. I'm thrilled that Minos is no longer forlorned. Honestly Dale was really irritating me through the other books in the series so I'm glad she pulled her head out. My interests are to see what happens next; big questions left up in the air.
I also look forward to seeing or learning more of Father Severide.
A demon and a demonslayer fall in love 🖤 and ALL the feels ensue. Dale and Minos their undeniable chemistry, the way Dale fights this connection, so many emotions and the big bad that is still to come. I don't want to say too much and give anything away but I will say I am SO excited for what's to come with this series! A definite must read!
If you miss Buffy, you’ll like this. Otherwise it’s probably got the most worldbuilding but still not a lot. And the MMC is pretty cinny roll for a demon.
DNF....yet? IDK why I started reading this one first but I just did. I don't really care about reading order for most things and quite frankly most things don't need a real reading order. That being said, while I would really like to enjoy this story, I'm at that age where I just "can't" with fictional FGM. As soon as I read it, I'm just over it. I'm not anti virgin and I don't need explicit sex scenes- I actually usually skip those because they're all the same. However, it seems all we've done as a culture is regurgitate and mutate the horrific Mills and Boons tropes into a more savage, even more horrifically perverted "modernized" versions. The worst is that we leave out any form of sense with character development and plot-lines simply to accommodate fictional FGM. This female character's entire back/origin story is devoted solely to the fact that she can't have sex with men because not only does she hurt them (specifically, "normal" non demon slaying/demon men), she also now requires extremely rough sex to be satisfied. We are introduced to her by way of an unfortunate experience with her harming someone THE FIRST TIME SHE TRIES TO HAVE SEX. Conveniently, male demon slayers don't appear to have this problem despite us later being told that they outnumber female demonslayers "fifty-to-one" and even at one point being told by the primary male character that ONLY during times of uncertainty and strife are there usually any female demonslayers at all and that they are relatively new to existence. She even comes from "a line of demonslayers", making her powers hereditary- so who's been having sex and reproducing? To add insult to injury, her said "powers" cause her to be extremely horny, removing her autonomy and the option for her to either CHOOSE to be abstinent or even allow for the character to be asexual. Make it make sense. Maybe the powers that be deliberately made this a female only affliction. Luckily, her "mate" or whatever has no such hurdles, even to the point of being capable of sex with others after having claimed his mate. I am truly appalled that many of these books are written as progressive and female positive. They give the impression of shining a light on the unfairness women face socially while undermining their core message by being ridiculously unfair to their female characters to deliberately perpetuate sexist stereotyping. Is this irony? It is definitely blindingly obvious bias.
I thought the how they met should have been more fleshed out. It was skipped over in a few pages.
SPOIELR SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
She is worried what the Council of Demonslayers will think of her for having a demon boyfriend. But somebody killed all of them. They all choked to death in front of witnesses. Nobody knows who did it.
So now the heroine, her mentor Gideon, and her old bully/current co-worker Marsh are all the 3 leaders of the Demonslayers left.
We are told the "old gods" are waking up. Ancient Greek gods, possibly the Titans, the heroes, the demigods, etc.
Arick the warlock makes another appearance in this book. It'll be interesting to see if he ever finds a girl.
Heroine eventually agrees to become immortal. First her boyfriend researched whether she'd still be able to hold blessed weapons and cross wards and fight demons. All their research said she would so she agreed. So now she's immortal and a demonslayer.
Red (the female demon who had a cross carved into her, and then removed by the mysterious M guy) is still chasing after M guy. It is possible (they are not sure) one of the friend demons is in love with Red or Claimed her. They've never been intimate but he is obsessed with finding her. Red is still missing and they have no news of her.
We get an update on Lenore's baby (Lenore is the witch from book 1). Her baby has talons that retract and horns and he can make it rain (like his mommy Lenore) when he is sad so he is spoiled so he doesn't get sad. Everyone agrees he is a cute baby.
I am not sure who will get the next book, which hero, it is unclear.
The Demonslayer is the fourth book in the Seven Sins MC and it was an okay read.
From the moment she was introduced in an earlier book, I have disliked Dale and those feelings never changed. She played games and used Minos even knowing it was hurting him. Her inner thoughts were pages and pages about how horny she was. I'm no prude and I love a good sexy story, but I don't like teases and I didn't find her reasons were good enough to forgive her actions. Dale had a chip on her shoulder for the majority of this book because she's a girl. She smarts off and she's hurtful in an effort to protect herself. I understood she believed the demonslayers treated her differently because she was a girl, but the result was it hardened her and made her better. Made her stronger and better at her job. Her mentor Gideon basically said as much, but she was too busy lashing out to see it for herself.
Minos was a demon yes, but he was such a good character. He went to Dale every time she summoned him (even knowing he was being used) because Minos just wanted to spend time with her. Even when Dale acknowledges how terrible she's been to Minos, he forgave her instantly because he cared that deeply for her.
Overall, this is my least favorite series, but I like JG's books so I'm sure I'll continue it. I'm not real sure about the new turn it's taking so I'll just have to see when the next book comes out. I'm thinking it will be either Bael's or maybe Aram's if he can find Red.
I've read all the books in this series and it is a good premise. It has such potential - she's a good writer. She's got the skills, it's a page-turner, funny, sexy, it has a likeable group of heroines that don't make you want to scream and also a nice light read but...I find that all her books in this series seem unfinished. I mean they are short books, less than 200 pages but don't build the plot up and then get to 90% and realize you have to wrap it up in a few pages. It's annoying and frustrating and has happened in every book in this series. I feel like the author is not getting the balance right between what genre this series is - is it erotic fiction and romance which is fine for a 200-page book and can be wrapped up easily - or is it paranormal romance with a UF plot ? In which case you can't just introduce a major plot line and cut it dead right at the pivotal moment.
If she just gave us another 100 pages to wrap it up, this would be a great series. As it is, that last part after we find out who is killing the humans and how they are going to take them down is then fast-forwarded 6 months when you turn the page.
I'm not sure I will read the next one which is a shame. The paranormal romance world could do with a new series and this is a contender if only it wasn't so rushed at the end.
I am so glad that we finally got Dale and Minos’s story!! I absolutely loved the forbiddeness of their relationship! Dale is a demonslayer that has been claimed by a demon (Minos), and their relationship is explosive! For months Dale has only used Minos for a release when the strain of being away from each other becomes too much. She is determined to keep feelings as far away from the two of them as possible, and swears each time is going to be the last. BUT she’s thrown a curveball when the the council of The Academy gives her an ultimatum: find a baby killing demon, or have the case transferred to her biggest competitor. She is one of the only female demonslayers, so she is determined to prove that she has what it takes. And who better to help her find a demon than another demon?? When Minos agrees to help Dale find her target, those feelings that Dale is fighting so hard against…yeah, they don’t stand a chance!
This is the third book in The Seven Sins MC Series, and the ending really opens up several possibilities for this world! I’m so excited to see what Jessica comes up with!!
Jessica Gadziala is a master at writing intense, steamy, and angsty romance! I had some trepidation going into this one. Dale is a demonslayer and Minos is a demon. I'm not usually a fan of a lot of push and pull in books, nor do I like when characters argue a lot with each other. I should have known not to have any fear about this, Jessica handled them so deftly and it was such a treat to read this story. Minos is powerless to fight his attraction to Dale, nor does he want to. Dale knows only one thing in her life - how to be a demonslayer. Her attraction and intense pull to Minos is difficult for her to understand and she does fight this attraction. However, when she has a problem that only he can help her with, it means more time with him.
This was so much fun to read- I love the world that has been created here and all the different characters we are introduced to, but also this couple and how things go when they are forced to finally spend some real time together. You don't need to have read any of the other books in order to follow along in this one, but they are all just as fabulous so I strongly recommend them.
Somehow this book is a bit different in terms of rating.. although it's a 4 stars it's 4 because of the furst couple of chapters with the background + Minos the Hero. he really did love her and he really had a very tough year with her reactions and actions and he did showed case a devoted demon to the one he loves. I also have to say that the conclusion with "the acceptance" was over the top.. no one even "modern people" can accept such a union, even in-light of the new gods and the drama that's heading towards them in the near future, they might accept an alliance but they will still be a bit reluctant even if those immortal demons have never hurt anyone.. afterall they never had a relationship with them. So again it is a 3 +1star for Mions On another note I hoped for more interaction with the rest of the gang and by that I don't mean their appearance because there was already there in the book (they were present much much more than the previous book) but what I mean is why everyone is working in isolation why can't they work as a group even if only two people.. why doesn't have to be the hero and he's doing everything on his own I don't get that part
Debated rating it 3 and rounding up or 4 and rounding down. I didn’t I didn’t dislike any if the main characters. It just took me awhile to read so I had a hard time focusing on the story. That doesn’t mean it was bad, I just wasn’t constantly craving it. It had also been awhile since I read the first three books in this series so I couldn’t recall some details I think would have helped me feel more into the story.
I am glad she finally started to let her walls down (literally and figuratively), but I would have liked more of that sooner.
Really disappointed that after the prologue there is no real mention of Dale’s parents. They know what she is when she comes into her powers. How long has she been at The Academy? Are her parents still alive? Does she see them on holidays or have weekly dinner with them?
I know JG says some of her series don’t sell as well so she doesn’t write them as frequently or often not at all, I feel like this must be one of those series and she’s so times just phoning it in which is really disappointing for those of us who love her less read series. :(
That’s the thing about Jessica Gadziala - she’s a natural story teller. She writes stories you can’t stop reading, full of characters you can’t help but enjoy. I downloaded this book last night, started it this afternoon and while I was supposed to be doing my grocery shopping, I was sitting in my car, in the car park, reading “just one more chapter”.
I’ve been looking forward to the story of Dale and Minos since we first met Dale at the beginning of the Seven Sins MC series. Their story is not only satisfying, but expands what we know of the Seven Sins world. There is clearly much chaos to come and I’m here for it.
If you want swoony romance, steam, (lots of steam), snappy dialogue, some very funny moments, (Dale’s decision to be environmentally conscious and buy rechargeable batteries is 😂) all wrapped up in a fast-paced plot about a demon motorcycle club, a demon slayer and the hunt for a big bad, here’s your book.
Outrageously entertaining as usual from Jessica Gadziala.
The Demonslayer is the fourth book in the Seven Sins MC series by Jessica Gadziala. I was wondering how Jess would do this story and where it would go, as we have heard from previous characters in previous books. I was not disappointed,
What’s happens when Minos (a demon) falls for Dale (a demonslayer)?! Well holy hell and maybe heaven breaks lose that’s what! I loved this book and I loved these two together. My heart broke for Minos at times and the way he jumps whenever Dale needs him.
I love the direction Jess is going with this series and introducing Father Severide, Well yes please! The secondary character’s introduced in this book where fire and I'm hoping we'll get more. I think at the end of this book we are all wondering what is going happen next, big questions left to answer. I'm so excited for the next in this amazing series.
If you've been keeping up with the demons then you know about our poor Minos. And hey if you haven't read any of them, you're fine!! You'll still get the full story just with this one book.
Minos & Dale have been a background couple/but not a couple that give off main character energies anytime they are even mentioned. We want to know about Dale & her demonslaying self that was....well, claimed by a demon.
Minos is such a great character. The way he lives for just the smallest moments with Dale even though he knows it will all end soon. Gah talk about heartache!!
I am loving the direction that Jessica is taking this series & I hope we get to expand more into the universe that she has created. She has taken this idea & ran with it & ended up opening so many doors for possible stories. Amazing writing & wonderful story. You did Minos & Dale's story beautifully. ❤️🔥
This one was so close to a two star, but Gadziala is a comfort read.
The last two books I read the sex was the one heavy focused and the feelings later, and hey, I'm okay with that because Gadziala just can do that for you, ya know?
But I'd really like to read a book by her that mixed the both, cuz she already did it with other stories, so.
I'm excited to read about the development in plot here, it's getting huge! Also, I hope we don't go to Greek gods, given the fact I already read a series about them and comparison is inevitable.
Also I want to read about Arick so bad and I hope for all fucks sake that he's heroine is gonna be a sexy and mean badass!
And not one with conflicts Dale has, because they're old school and kinda boring to read. I'm talking about a motherfucking Penny look-alike from The Henchmen cause she's my one and true love.
I had been waiting for Dale and Minos’ story since book one and it did not disappoint. Out of all the women in the series, she’s my absolute favorite. Not only was the book spicy but it also took you through all the emotions going on between the two of them. The story felt real and relatable (as relatable as you can get in a world of demons and demon slayers..) as far as battling a war inside of yourself between what your heart wants and what your head is trying to tell you to be logical about. I love this MC and never want to stop reading about their world.
The Demonslayer was a quick, entertaining book and highly enjoyable read. It was a forbidden romance, one of my favourite trope so I was excited. First of all, I really liked the main characters and reading from their respective point of view. The “detective” plot was also nice. However, the last 20% were a bit rushed (wouldn't have mind reading a 100 pages more or so) and I wished the main characters met more resistance from their peers. Lastly, I read it as a standalone and had no problem understanding everything.
