Amit Agrawal comprehensively and clearly describes the path to success by emphasizing small factors. We tend to focus on the broad image while overlooking the small elements that are essential to every picture. When I first started reading this book, I expected to read about business and the workplace, but the book surprised me with the author's personal life stories. The author brilliantly speaks about his personal experiences and combines them with his perspective; in each example, he uses pretty simple everyday events, which helps me comprehend his viewpoints.
The title alone tells us what the book contains. Every chapter discusses the deeper meaning of "Small is Big," and the various scenarios aid with understanding. Even though the stories and events differ, the learning remains consistent. The author's method of describing how to transform negative ideas into positive ones is my favorite portion of the book, and it has completely changed the way I look at my life. And the exercise helps me to ease my mind and engages me in the book. The author approaches with motivation, but he also discusses his life's difficulties and the perspectives that helped him overcome them.
I'm not usually a reader of self-help books, but this one is way too good to pass up. Whether you are a reader or not, you should give this book an opportunity to crystallize your life focus and shift the cycle of your thoughts.
A perfect Addition to my Self Help collection! The focus is on saying YES to small set of things and NO to everything else. Dividing it into 3 parts author has penned down his thoughts categorizing it separately into Personal, Business and then Productivity

Then book says all about the title “small is big” in a very simple and crystal clear way. Highly recommended for the people who want to change their living style for good sake and do something better. Author has told about scenarios of every individual who faces obstacles in every phase of life may it be life, business or being productive. Books deals mainly on three things i.e., transforming life, transforming business and fuelling productivity. Main idea is “ as humans, we are sum total of our habits” which is a line taken from book. I can conclude by saying that the book states that small things and little steps matter in life which makes a person grow and enrich the power of being a human. Reading this book would definitely give a new aspect to general definition of small is big. Altogether it defines a good balance of human with surroundings with proper day to day life routine. Author has given his own life examples on how he became successful by following simple and small things which led him to understand the importance of very little moments which turn into big transformations in all steps of life. Lastly, there is a very beautiful line written in book which sums up about what book exactly is about “ Just a small three inch organ (tongue) in the vast human body knows about our likes and dislikes”. Book may sound a big highly motivational in the beginning but as the pages get over, it can be realised that its a same story of every individual who faces challenges but accepting and solving those challenges in a very unique and different way can be learnt from this book “small is big”.
First of all, I'd like to congratulate the author on writing this thoughtful book that defines and redefines various aspects of life in a simple and clear text. The concept of "Small Is Big" isn't exactly new to us. This idea has been, in many ways, preached to us by our elders, friends or seniors unknowingly. But the way the author of this book puts it forward makes a great impact on the readers due to its straightforward and uncomplicated approach to this concept. The author has made this an easy read by making the language and the explanation of each of the points and sub-points put forward by him simple to understand and implement. The 'Learning Accelerator' part after each section provides the readers with an opportunity to inculcate and experience each key point in their life, business and productivity almost immediately and see the difference for themselves. The author sharing his life experiences in every section made the concepts and ideas more impactful for me. Presenting a point and instilling it in a reader's brain by giving helpful and effective examples is what makes this book unique in its own way. The fact that the author and his writing in more ways than one could speak to the minds of any generation that reads this book is the biggest takeaway from this book for me.

A systematic and engaging lesson on what the title states, the book is the epitome of 'practice what you preach.' The author teaches us the importance of sticking to that 'one major point' and he sticks to that through this book. The reason why small changes make a significant difference to what seems more prioritizable or consequential is revealed again and again, all by different formats, analogies, and walks of life. The book begins with how small tweaks in daily routine can define the larger picture, like getting up at five or having dinner without watching TV. The author cleverly extends the lesson to incorporating the principle in professional life, like small teams can be substantial, and small rewards can lead to the bigger ones. In the third part, the author intends to teach about productivity through minimally cluttered tasks, making an excellent presentation (again, through minimalism) and that, by augmentation, can lead to improved confidence, leading to success. The narrative is quite appealing in most parts. The exercises at the end of each chapter are the perfect recapitulation. Highly recommended self-help book!
This book is a reminder to self to keep pushing hard even if there’s no results at the moment because each day will be 5% better than the last and eventually it will all add together.
I can describe this book best by listing down my key takeaways. They might seem generic but trust me they did make me think twice about life
I am going to try and inculcate these in my life. Let’s not try to push such things in life rather make such healthy habits that they transform into a lifestyle.
I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a self help book to begin. Basic yet impactful points and the activities within the read made it even more relatable.
The book starts with explaining the Small is Big concept. The Author Amit Agarwal, has tried to explain the concept with his own life experiences which makes it easier for us to understand how we can imply it in our lives to have the extra-ordinary results which he claims to have achieved. The author has tried to bring into our view the small things we do in our life which actually have brought us where we are today. Small, simple day to day examples make it easier to actually help us understand how we can implement the concepts and achieve productivity & fulfillment in our own life. Though I actually felt that chapter doesn’t exactly start with a flow or connectivity, but I could ignore this fact as the content and information the author is sharing is much more interesting. The book is filled with lots of real life examples and activities which actually makes you aware in depth about the things the author is trying to express.
Today's fast-paced life leaves little time for us to focus on trivial matters that can transform our lives if taken care of. This is the essence of the book 'Small Is Big' authored by Amit Agarwal. Through powerful theories such as the Domino effect micro-habits, the author explores a relatively-uncharted paradigm- how 'small' things can influence our lives. This book is divided into three sections-each describing how small things can impact your personal, business and workplace spheres. Another important takeaway of the book is to be grateful for whatever you have in your personal life, ii) professional life, iii) spiritual wellness, iv) financial wellness, and v) health. The book is simple for a layperson to understand and is a pacy read. The author uses anecdotes from his life to reaffirm the significance of 'small is big' and, therefore, can connect with the reader. I liked the way how things have been presented and it's everything that I would expect from a non-fiction book, the essential talk, discussions and situation-based questions to answer that lead to self-realisations.
The book says that the small changes that we make in our lives, lead to bigger changes, the domino effect and the value of micro-habits, taking out just 20 minutes of our day for that one task that we must do for our own benefit. It's that one book that I would keep on my desk for a long time because I will definitely need to revisit it for good advice every now and then.

On the whole, this book is so wholesome that one could not stop reading until the very end.
Great book, good reminders of things to do and I learned a little about Amit’s life! Even though it is very much based in Indian culture, the book should play well in the US. The only thing I didn’t love about the book is that he pulls in examples from seven other famous books and has a chapter on each. Even though they were short chapters,I would’ve rather had some original thoughts there but other than that, a very good reminder, as I have read some of those books in their entirety and had forgotten some of those principles. I will be practicing some life changing habits in the very near future and the author nicely left many pages on which to take notes and practice some principles which I have filled out.

This book, "Small Is Big", helped me to realize how I was already doing small things for bigger results, achieving small goals leading towards bigger goals and doing one task at a time, just focusing on that task without stressing about other tasks but never appreciated my own subconscious efforts.
I also learned how I can improve in my personal and professional life as well as how can I be more productive.
And the best part was that, there were activities and exercises with narrator's own experiences as examples for each theory and concept which are very effective to change your mindset about the certain situation exactly at that point.
