Who finds their true love when they are a child? At a young age, Chase and Kesley were inseparable. All summer long they spent sun up to sun down together. They’d swim, build forts, go fishing and catch fireflies in jars. Until the summer Chase never returned. Fourteen years later, fate brings them both back to the lake First kiss, first love, first heartbreak. Can they rekindle the innocence of young love? Or will their future be as sad as a country song?
K. Logan is a stay at home mom of 5 busy children in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. In her spare time, she can either be found with a book in her hand or writing a book. Living in Canada, she enjoys all her Toronto professional teams and cheering them on. She is usually found on her Facebook account talking to authors who have inspired her to do the same.
Great read. I found I didnt want to put it down. Great writing and editing. I read a lot of books and can. By chapter 2 if I will enjoy the book. With this book I was already disappointed I had to wait for book 2! I will be following K. Logan for sure. Tasteful and fun to read. I will be watching for book 2 !
I loved this story. This being Krista’s first book, it was great! There are a few spots that needed more details or spots that didn’t need repeated. While reading I couldn’t turn off my proofreading brain and found some errors but they were simple and can easily fixed. I can’t wait for the next book in the series or really anything Krista writes, I got a taste of her writing and I need more.
Catching Fireflies The premise to the story was really spectacular! The idea of two kids reuniting after 14 years to rekindle their love! The plot; although thought out and sequenced perfectly, could have used more detail. There were many events that left me wanting more and things could have been further developed to include more. The adding of detail would also have allowed the plot and the sequence of events to be slowed down and allowed the reader a more in depth glimpse into the thoughts and actions of Chase and Kesley. As a first novel I feel that Krista hit it out of the park and I’m excited to read the follow ups! Thank you Krista for allowing me the opportunity to read your first book!
This is Krista's first book, and she did a phenomenal job!! I really enjoyed Kesley and Chase's story. It's a second chance romance 14 years in the making, and it seems feelings haven't changed for either of them and they seem to pick up right where they left off...Krista did an amazing job of making you root for Kesley and Chase to find their way back to each other, and yes, there was some repetitive dialogue, but you know what...it was still amazing, and her talent did shine through all through the book, I do wish it had been a little longer, but it was awesome, and I can't wait for the second book!! Good job Krista....now gives me the next one...mmm'kay???? Lol
Who doesn't love a second chance at love. Chase & Kes were two young dreamy kids who had their whole lives ahead of them spending summers at the lake with their families. As young lives go, those summers ended and they each wondered what happened to each other. 14 years later and a plan only a gramma could dream up they would be reunited. But would they have the same love? Had they moved on to different lives? A loving story of young love and the lengths someone will go to find it again. Krista's first book is a journey you don't want to miss. A hit from the beginning to end. You are truly going to love this tale of a beautiful HEA.

Kesley and Chase meet as children at a small lakeside town in Nova Scotia where their families spent their summer vacations, They fell in love at twelve. One summer, Chase and his family stopped coming. Fourteen years later, Chase buys the house his family used to stay in, and Kesley's Gramma now lives full time in the house next door. Gramma calls Kesley and her family and invites them to stay weeks earlier than they usually do. Chase and Kesley meet again, and it is as if time never passed. After that last summer, each of them had searched for something missing. No relationship felt right. This is the first book in the series, and it is so heartfelt. How many people get their happily ever after with their first love? True love really does conquer all here.

Who finds their true love as a kid? This was a nostalgic and beautiful story of summers at the lake. The heartbreak of young friends being separated because of changes their parents made can be felt through the pages. Their lack of ability to choose and to see each other tears at your heart. But as adults, the lake pulls them back. I loved Chase and Kesley’s story. I hope we get to hear Denny’s story as well.
There is something special about connections formed early in life. Kelsey and Chase met when their families vacationed in the summers in Nova Scotia. At some point his family stopped coming so many years passed before he returned and bought the house he used to visit with his family. Kelsey's grandma now lives in the small town. When grandma invites her to visit while he is there they have a chance to reunite and they realize that they still feel strongly and that they want to be together. So sweet.

A sweet second chance romance about two people who fell I love as kids, lost each other, and came back together again.
Kes & Chase are the stuff of dreams. They fell hard for eachother as children, and despite years and distance neither gave up hope that they would find each other again. They are the definition of soulmates, and I was so happy with how the story ended.
I took off one star because everything moved a little quicker than I would have liked, especially towards the end. But over all I enjoyed the book and would recommend to anyone who wants a sweet, easy read, with a HEA.
Kelsey and Chase get a second chance in this sweet story. This is a great debut novel that has a great storyline. I would have liked more details in certain areas but overall this is a very entertaining read.
I loved this book. I definitely recommend everyone read it. K Logan outdid herself on this book. The characters are amazing and the story incredibly written. She brings you a story of twi kids falling in love as kids and fate bringing them back together as adults. A love meant to last forever
My daughter and I are avid audiobook listeners. We made it about 1/4 of the way through the story. I closed out the book and tried to listen to it by myself and I still had the same issues. In my opinion the story switched POV's way too much. It was hard to tell whose POV we were listening to until it said something to like "he" or "she" then we knew or something more detailed about the characters. The story was definitely interesting and I would have loved to see where the story lead us, but with the multiple switch up's back and forth, I wasn't sure if it was due to the narrator or the writing, it just became too confusing and I read and edit many different things daily, but for the sake of readers, I would just suggest less back and forth. If I recall correctly the story went back and forth about 3-5 times in the first chapter, where I thought we were already on Chapter 3 or so... I was going to try reading the story, because again, I really wanted to see where the story would take us. But, I couldn't keep being distracted by the change of POV's to the extent that I had to keep replaying portions of the story!
This was such a cute book. Finding your soulmate at a young age but losing them before you could actually be together. Fate brings them back together and everything else is history.
Since this is the author's first book, it is my first time reading her. I think she did a phenomenal job!! I'm a sucker for second-chance romance and really enjoyed Kesley and Chase's story. Seems time, 14 years to be exact, didn't diminish their feelings for each other. Their love was strong, and they picked up as if no time had passed at all.
K. Logan made me fall in love with the characters and enjoy watching them find their way back to each other. I found it a bit short, but I'm excited for book 2. A great first attempt at a book. I'll be on the lookout for more from this author.
