Shane Bradley took over the Valley Falls Strikers after the death of his father. His dad was beloved by all and living up to the man he was, is something that weighs on Shane day and night. Especially when he finds out his dad had another child. Even after meeting his new sister, he's torn up about the news and hits a bar to try and drink away to pain. He never expected that one night to change everything about his future.
Allana Payne is on the hunt for someone to help her with a problem. She'd made it to the ripe old age of thirty-one without ever having certain things when it comes to the bedroom. She knows there's more out there and she wants it. What she wasn't expecting was her lessons to be taught by the one and only Shane Bradley, owner of the hottest soccer club around and best friend to the guy her own best friend just got engaged to.
She isn't about to say no when he offers to help and he isn't a fool who would leave a woman like Allana hanging.
These two heat up the sheets—and other places—as they discover what it is they each really want in life.
Trying to live up to a perfect man's legacy is like a permanent weight on Shane Bradley's shoulders. Drinking his sorrows away after learning his father may not have been the man he thought he was, Shane never expected to for his life to take a turn for the better. Allana may be a school principal, but she still has needs same as any other woman. Going to a bar to hunt down someone to help her with her 'oral' problem In helping Allana with her problems Shane and Allana develop feelings that they now they shouldn't give in to, but you don't choose with who or when you fall in love. But Allana has opened Shane's eyes and made him realize feelings about himself and how he feels like he's always going to be living in his father's shadow.
This book was adorable and touching. While reading this I couldn't help but hope that the author didn't turn Stephen Bradley into a complete male scum...especially because he was such a beloved man. I also love that in each book the couples all seem to have their own little "kinks" that get the other couples and players to make fun of them throughout the series.
I don't know if it was the writing style or the characters themselves, but I found myself not connecting to any characters in the story. The plot also felt like an afterthought to the sex scenes. If that's what you're looking for, then you'd likely enjoy this book. However, I prefer a more evenly balanced story.
I didn't think the author could top Cooper's story but man she did just that with Shane. After reading the first book I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one. Shane has always felt he lived in his father's shadow and would never measure up. When he suddenly uncovers a family secret the life he knew is flipped upside down and he finds himself at the same bar as Allana. Allana is a school principal and Mae's(Cooper's fiancée) best friend. She isn't as experienced as she'd like to be at her age and has come to the bar to solve that problem when these two run into each other. This is an unlikely romance between two acquaintances who are trying to find themselves/become comfortable in who they are. There are plenty of steamy scenes balanced with genuine emotional interactions that make their story feel so realistic. I'm already on the edge of my seat and can't wait to read the next book.
We meet Shane and Allana in book one of this series and I enjoyed their unlikely romance. Shane is the new owner of the soccer club after his father's death and feels as if he lives in his father shadow. Allana is a successful, kind woman, but that success doesn't apply to her sex life. Told from both povs their emotions are realistically portrayed as they each try to overcome their inadequacies and their feelings for one another. Like the first in the series -steamy scenes and wonderful supporting family and friends round out this sports romance. If you love down and dirty sports romances this series is for you.
When Shane takes over as team owner of the soccer team his father owned before his passing, things were hard as he tries to make changes, but when he finds another secret it knocks him and sends him to a bar to drown his sorrows. School principal Allana, is out at a bar looking to expand her sexual experience but who she finds is Shane, who is happy to help, but can anything more happen as he is her best friend’s fiancé’s friend. With all their baggage can they come together and live HEA? A great read, love this series.
Book 2 continues the ongoing story from book 1. Book1 is a complete story but this picks up in that story. So it was nice to keep continuing on with eh previous characters. Shane has some issues to work through both personal and professional. Allana wants to experience sex as she never had . This book has a lot of sex scenes so if you don't like to read that this book would not be for you. I liked how they opened up to each other yet the still have those really insecurities that most people do. I liked the story and how it moved along without unneeded fillers in the book.
Fun read! Humor, feels, fun characters and plenty of heat, very entertaining story. Shane is going through something deep when he decides to drown his trouble at a bar, who should sit down at the bar but his best friend's fiance's best friend Allana. She's sitting there sexier than belief and with a problem he's prepared to alleviate. Coming from two different worlds, a school principal and a billionaire, chemistry can pull them together. Fun, entertaining series.
Loved this book, the connection between Allana and Shane was from that moment in the bar. I must admit that it was an "interesting" way to "get to know each other". Two people from different life styles come together finding about how much another person could become so close/needed in a short period of time. Both have some kind of insecurity about themselves, but they bring out the best in each other. I'm positive this is going to be a fun series to read.
It was so nice to see a different side of Shane. In the first book, he was a major part in Cooper and Mae. In his book we got to see the flip flop of emotions that he experienced trying to realize that Allana was his forever. I love how confident Allana was throughout the book. And these two turned the pages to fire. Loved this book.
"So, sport romances aren't so much my thing but I loved the previous one so... why not?It was indeed a great story. It was more than just a plain sport romance that was refreshing and captivating at the same time. Shane and Allana couldn't have been more different even if they tried to but that's what make them perfect for each other."
I loved both Cooper and Shane's stories. Shane and Allana were just as explosive as Cooper and Mae. I am so giddy that both Shane and Cooper found their life partners. They are worth being loved. Mae and Allana are truly lucky and blessed!!! Hat a beautiful and loving story!
Loved Shane and Allana. Both very unsure of themselves. He very rich owning a soccer team, she an elementary school principal. Even tho they have a strong chemistry she feels like she isn't good enough, he feels like she is to good but the first women he has known that didn't want him for his money. He is falling hard but has issues to clear out first. Enjoyed.
Shane finally goes to meet his sister the one he didn't know he had. After his father died he found out about Cassidy. Alana is going to a bar to find a man to help with her inexperience . When they see each other in the bar one thing leads to another and this book is hot and steamy.

Shane took possession of the Strikers after his dad passed away. Everyone loved his father and he feels as if he's still in his shadow. He wants someone to see him. Allana needs help and spots Shane at the bar. She got his help but was shocked. She thinks Shane's better than her.
Shane wants out of his late father's shadow with his soccer team. He starts finding himself when he hooks up with Alanna. They both do a lot of growing and self-realization. The letter is a tear jerker. Love this book.
This is the 2nd in the series that I read. I preferred the first one, more of a story. This one was ok just a bit of a story between all the sex scenes. I probably won’t read the next one but will check out her other books.
This book was like spending time with the people you want in your life. Nothing was gratuitous. I could read this story line and enjoy each book. Sometimes you just need comfortable.
Excellent story. A little too much sexual content and detail. On another point, finding someone you have an instant connection with is rare. I guess I should read the first book.
This one was super cute. I’m so used to books that have some sort of big conflict so it’s a good palate cleanser when it’s relatively drama free. Your partner should be one to support and love you for who you are rather than changing you into someone you’re not. Shane and Allana were so cute!
