My big plan to save us all turned up to be a big bust.
I know my boys are gearing up there ‘I told you so’s’ after this… that is, of course, if they ever see me again.
I’ve got myself in quite a pickle, and put the Vampire King one bite closer to the thing that could end up killing us all.
Or could it?
Rejected Alpha is the final book in the Shattered Fate series. It is recomended for readers 17+ for the all around lovin' and intense amount of heat that you will find on the pages within.
If you love Sam, Hall, Jen L. Grey, Kelly St. Claire, Tara West, K.F. Breene, Jaymin Eve, and Linsey Hall, then this is your next addiction.
It's not Fox, it's Foxx. There's too much heat here for just one X
So, I reviewed book 2 of this series and told you how awful it was. This book was a tiny bit better. Lizzie was still immature and childish in her interactions. Her mates were non-existent until the end of this book. It was really strange that they basically had nothing to do with rescuing her.
After thinking about the whole series, I would say that the reason it was so bad was because there was nothing explaining how come Lizzie was supposedly so powerful. Her mom was a vampire and her dad a wolf. But what would give her magical power? Then, she was raised as a servant with no training, yet she felt that she could take on the villain? On her own? In book 3 the story seemed to imply that Lizzie went to the vampire king to save her pack. However, in book 2 she went because she felt she could take him out. It wasn't because she was sacrificing herself. The sex scenes were more like porn than love. There was no romance or relationship building. The whole series is disappointing. I have no idea how there are so many 5 star reviews. My expectations are much higher than what this series offers.
I enjoyed the first two books more than this conclusion. Lizzie is a lot more foul-mouthed and immature than I remembered. At the beginning of the series, I thought it was going to be a romance, but to me, it's not.
