The characters were not what I expected at all, the overall atmosphere being depressing and dark. Hermione is a prostitute? She is the smartest witch alive, as if she wouldn’t find another way out. The story would be okay, if the ending wasn’t so abrupt. I mean, the whole book just builds and builds up to the climax point but it’s just not well written, when it finally arrives. You expect something dramatic, the big boom, where everything blows up, because after all he or she had a master plan. I know, it’s supposed to be kind of? realistic (it’s Harry Potter after all), but I just find it super unrealistic that there’s no alternate ending. She had the time travel thingy, didn’t she? Maybe something with that? She couldn’t have all her abilities and talents taken from her, because again: she is the smartest witch. She has book knowledge as well as war knowledge. Additionally to that: It’s not a romantic book, there is no romantic situation, where Hermione puts herself willingly. She’s forced because she’s literally owned by Draco and doesn’t even like the physical stuff half of the time. It’s almost Stockholm Syndrome. Also I wouldn’t call that a happy ever after? She escapes to the Muggel world and Draco joins her. I expected Draco to destroy the whole discriminating system in the wizard world for her. Not to just run away with her to never be again, who they once were.

Ever since the battle of Hogwarts, the Wizarding World has been a nightmare for Muggleborns. Harry may have managed tp kill Voldemort once and for all but it was at cost of his own life. The power vacuum after both Harry and Voldemort dies during the final battle left the space open for the most organised and self entitled, which was the old elite. They were used to ruling and felt justified in taking over. Voldemort was heralded as a mad man who had come about due to mudbloods running amok. They would not make the same mistake again.
Somehow everything was blamed on the mudbloods. The council had decreed that mudbloods must be controlled and managed. Now, all mudbloods had to live in the Muggleborn Quarters. They were not allowed to marry or have children and they weren't allowed to leave wizard
locales. The only jobs available to mudbloods were serving purebloods. The most unfortunate ended up begging, which the purebloods saw as complete justification for their inferiority.

Hermione was luck to have found a job in a bakery, that paid her just enough to keep herself and two old Muggleborn women she took in, afloat. However her life changed drastically when Draco Malfoy turned up at her bakery and goaded her into an argument. He made her lose her job with no way to find a new one, just to offer her a deal to become his mistress and with no other option to keep herself and the two old women alive, she took his deal.

At first she hated this role Malfoy forced her into and with the claim he made upon her, she had no way out of this arrangement. But one night when he gambled her services away to Flint, she came up with a plan that would sever his ties with her completely. The only problem with this plan was the part of making him belive that she was in love with him, without actually falling for him.

As always, camnz gives us a dark story with dark characters, that makes us question the ending were hoping for.
On one end, I want Hermione to be completely free of Draco and his toxic "love" with her and on the other, I kind like that he ended up following her into Muggle England to be with her.
It's not quite clear what his true feelings towards Hermione are and if he's planning to stay with her in the Muggle World forever or if he's still living his Pureblood life with Astoria and other girls on the side.

Dramione. Post war. Harry Potter is dead. Muggleborns are discrimated against. Hermiones life is slowly destroyed after Draco comes back into it. Dead Dove. Memory loss. HEA technically, but dark. Delicious.

This one was a shocker. Seriously!
A totally different world and everything in it. Good to read such small stories with such a good story line.

I predicted the ending....I was expecting more with the story and Draco's character development but there was none so I was kind of disappointed......

Major Auction vibes, I love it!!

However, Draco really wasn't a good person and he treated her like a whore (until the very end)
