Some good insights on the forgiveness of God mixed with a fair measure of sloppy eisegesis of a few select texts on sin, repentance, and confession that lead away from what these terms mean and how they are canonically used. The result is “freedom” from sin not because it is no longer present, but because it is no longer recognized.

Prevenient grace solves all the same problems without the need for linguistic gymnastics.

Fails to deliver freedom

If you read this book because you want to stop living in sin, then i think you will be disappointed. This book teaches you to see yourself differently. The author tells us that we will still fall, but that's ok. So all you will achieve by reading this book is feeling better about yourself. At least until you realize nothing has changed in your life.

When I received the message shared in the book, it was “packaged” differently, but it changed my life. Jonathan breaks down the complexities of Biblical passages that have long been misunderstood in a way that makes the Bible simple and accessible. The gospel is much better than it seems. This stuff changed my life. If any of this sounds interesting or curious to you, I highly recommend that you pick up this book.
