On the very same day Max Burrows got engaged, her father was arrested for his potential involvement in a decades-old murder. Even worse? Her mom Cee-cee hired the P.I. who implicated him. She knows her father isn't perfect, but she loves him, and can't believe he would be capable of such a terrible thing. Her whole world is shattered as she is forced to take sides. And when an old flame returns from abroad? Things only get worse.
Valentina Rodolphi isn't looking for love. Raising a two-year-old while starting a new law firm is already a juggling act and there are only so many hours in a day. But when love comes walking in, will she roll the dice one more time, or will she send it packing?
Christine Gael is the women's fiction writing alter-ego of USA Today Bestselling contemporary romance author, Christine Bell, and NYT Bestselling paranormal romance author, Chloe Cole.
I hate when authors close series because I have to say goodbye to such dear friends, thankfully, this isn't the last book in the Bluebird Bay series but the end is nigh. Max the daughter of CeeCee and Nate is struggling due to Nate being investigated by the police about a long ago matter and this comes on the very evening that Ian proposed to her. In this installment, there were many questions answered, many new ones asked and a new romance between a returning character and a semi new one. I am so impressed with Ms. Gael's ability to bring day to day issues of life, divorce, illness, grief and children into her books and deal with them with such grace and aplomb. In some cases they are the most perfect guideline on how to handle life events. This is definitely a keeper and a family friendly read.
If there is one thing to remember about this penultimate Bluebird Bay book, it is the importance of hanging on to hope, no matter the pain from the past or present, no matter the fear. Fallyn, Val (and Jax is so cute!!!), Deirdre, Patty. Hope, lots of it.
I’m leaving out the whole Nate part for you to make up your own mind. But the only thing I will say is that I am not conflicted a bit.
These characters, the old and the new, feel like a big family that I will be deeply sad to leave behind.
I loved this book, loved this series. Christine Gael continues to keep us up to date with all the characters from the first book. She also manages to add new characters and weave them into the story line. The characters are true to life and mostly likeable. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I am also reading her other series about people in a small town close to Bluebird Bay. Be sure to check out all her books.
Another great story in the little Bluebird Bay town. So much is coming together. Now there are so many feeling and the fallout left to deal with. The charachters are developing in good ways. The plot is always thickening. There is love, loss, fear, anger, excitement, happily ever afters and so much more. I can't wait for the next. I recommend this and all the others before it.
Loved this continuation of Bluebird Bay. Rollercoaster of a ride for Max with extreme highs and lows. Do you ever know your partner or parent? Can't wait for the conclusion of this series. Loved every book
4 stars for a Finding Purpose (Bluebird Bay Book 11). We finally get to the bottom of Nate Burrows deceptions and lies. How will this affect the family of Max, Gabe and CeeCee?
I loved this book it is like catching up with old friends. I really enjoy Christine's style of writing I usually have her book read in a couple of day. Can't believe the next book is the last in the series. I do not want it to end.
Secrets ruin families and when Nate finally confessed to Max it was like a weight lifted. Hopefully now Cee-Cee, Max, Gabe and the rest of the family can move on.
I love this series. I feel as if I know the characters in Bluebird Bay and root for them as they navigate their way through relationships and learn on each other.
