Cupid in the City #4

P.S. You Would Be So Lucky

Rate this book
Dear Hotter than Hades Wannabe, Let me fill you in on a secret. Football players do not run the world, and they certainly do not get to run mine. To be honest, I don’t even know the difference between a quarterback and a tight end. Well, that’s a bit of a lie. I love me a good tight end...but do not distract me. You can bat your big blue eyes at me any day of the week, and I will feel nothing. You’re not God’s gift to women, no matter what your mama told you. Yes, we had one night together. And no, I didn’t know you were "The Brad Chambers.” Like I said, I don’t follow football. I didn’t leave my purse in your apartment because I was trying to ensure you would call me again. I couldn’t care less. And no, I don’t want a repeat performance of that night. It wasn’t that memorable. I hope this will get you to stop emailing me now. And no need to send me VIP tickets. Not interested. Sincerely, The Hottest Three-Night Stand You Will Ever Have P.S. You would be so lucky to get another night with me!

This is the fourth book in Cupid In The City Series but is read as a standalone. All the books in the series have a common theme of love in the city. It's written from a dual POV which allows you to know what each of them are thinking and feeling. The back and forth banter is hilarious and will keep you in stitches. 'The Brad Chambers' is a football star and definitely a legend in his mind. When Shantal tries to get his attention about his wallet he dropped he blows her off. Later they hook up but she is continually turned off by his ego and comments. They both have some childhood baggage that they have to work out. Together they heal each other and become soulmates. A quick and easy read with some humor and angst. I read an advance copy via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.

I love snarky banter in books and that’s one of the reasons I’m a big fan of this author so I wasn’t surprised I enjoyed Shantal and Brad. Brad is so beyond arrogant and Shantal isn’t about it at all until he becomes tolerable enough for them to come up with a mutually beneficial agreement lol but when she starts to really see the real Brad she realizes there’s more much before the facade

Shantal meets Brad and he mistakes her for a fan wanting his autograph when really, she just wants to return the wallet he dropped. Later that night at a party with a bunch of sports players she runs into him again and the two of them have a one-night stand but when he says something about how lucky she is she thinks he is just a jerk and leaves him there. They meet up again after he continuously calls her at work, and he rescues her from a bad date, and they sleep together again but she leaves him again after he makes another conceited comment. They have what she is convinced will be there last night together and this time she stays with him and accidentally leaves her purse with him. Once she gets it back, Brad tries to convince her that he wants more with her, but she is still reluctant because she's falling for him and believes he'll never feel the same way. He finally convinces her to give him a chance and the two of them go on a date and after Shantal almost ruins it, they admit their feelings and talk about past hurts. Then a month later they are still together going to France with everyone. Finn, Marcia, Suzie, Brody, Lillian, and Ben. It's clear they are all in love and have found their happily ever after.
I was really happy with seeing the whole gang back in this one. The girls are such good and friends and really care about each other and have each other's backs no matter what. It was nice to see in the end that all the guys seemed to get along well together. I thought that the chemistry between Brad and Shantal was electric, and this book was probably the hottest of the series.

Brad is a successful football player who is used to being in demand both on and off the field. He comes across as brash and confident which doesn’t leave the best first impression with Shantal however when fate brings them together again she realizes that there is much more to the man than first appears.

Shantel has a job she enjoys and a great group of friends but hasn’t had the best of luck in the romance department. She is strong, independent and doesn’t back down from anyone or anything however she is about to find out that one night with Brad was not enough.

Shantel has a way of challenging Brad which is exactly what he needs in life as they take us on a humorous and romantic journey that includes some turmoil they overcome.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

I loved Shantal and Brad. This whole series has been great and this book was no exception, as Brad is a cocky and arrogant football player who is used to getting what he wants and Shantal is a strong and independent woman but hasn't been so lucky in the romance department. They have intense chemistry with each other. Just have to read to enjoy this book!!!

J. S. Cooper, I love her books, and always a pleasure to read.

Brad is a gorgeous football player and he knows he’s good looking and that all of the ladies want him. Shantal is a beautiful young lady looking for love. Her best friends found theirs truly. It’s a fun fast paced romance with angst and fun banter! A perfect summer read. Each book is standalone and very enjoyable. I of course loved this book.

"P.S. You Would Be So Lucky" (Cupid in the City book 4) by J.S. Cooper was a great read. I enjoyed Brad and Shantal's story. This was a nice addition to this series. This story had romance, humor, football, close friends, and more. Recommend it to all fans of romance, football, and series.

This is book four of the Cupid In The City series each book reads as a standalone although, they connect via characters but you don’t have to read previous books to understand this one. Once you start you won’t stop until the last page has been turned just read the introduction to this book and you will want to continue reading it so get comfortable with your glass of wine, coffee, tea, or whatever suits your fancy. Shantal feisty, tell you like it is, wants what her friends have found something special, spoiled, loved but so far, she hasn’t had much luck in the boyfriend department, but on her way to a party she meets the most beautiful man however, the moment he opens his mouth instant turn off or so she thinks. Brad sexy as all get out star football player full of himself sort of thinks he is the gift to all women looking for a good time but the moment he a beautiful woman he makes the mistake treating her as any other girl …big mistake on his part. Fate has stepped in and taken the control from the two of them meeting the second time around is another story because she gives as good as she gets, and he has met his match in this wonderful girl and he wants more of her the saying is opposite attract and Shantal and Brad prove that statement to be true because you find yourself laughing out loud at some of the bickering, bantering that go back/forth between them but they find themselves having just as much fun the more they go at each other the stronger the magnetic pull between them and they are no longer able to ignore it especially when he starts treating her just like she has always wanted to treated by a guy but is it enough, is there more to them, can they make what’s between them work because neither of them has ever felt an attraction so strong or the need to want to be with someone else like their day doesn’t go well, is he ready to settle with just one women considering he can have as many as he want I mean he is a famous football player, and will it end with happiness?

“If you want to ditch the date and get out of here, just let me know.”

Last woman standing, Shantal, finally meets her man, a tall, good looking football player. We’ve been waiting for Shantal’s story since the first book and this was a good one, definitely worth the wait. I still love Brody best but Brad is definitely a hot, sexy hero. He and Shantal end up being perfect for each other. To be honest, a less confident, dominant man could never have stayed strong with Shantal. She needed a man just like him to be her true equal partner in life.

Now that all four girls have found their soul mates we’re are done. I’m going to miss these girls. They were a lot of fun and I loved getting to know each one of them. This series, Cupid in the City, is J.S. Cooper’s best ever. If you’ve never read anything of hers, this series is where you should start. For maximum enjoyment start with book one, PS Never in a Million Years, where the girls all first meet. Like Sex in the City, the four women are a family, and their relationship, their bond, is a major factor in their lives, influencing and guiding them as well as the series. No man would have ever been able to win any of them without the acceptance of the other women and they support each other through everything. Yes, the romantic relationships of each couple are the main focus of the books but the series would be superficial and trite without the emphasis of the other great relationship in their lives, their love for each other. That’s what truly sets this series apart and makes it shine.

I received this ebook ARC, from the author, on the condition that I write an honest review.
J. S. Cooper has written another great book, about a heartfelt romance between an obnoxious man, and a feisty female. She handled the entire story beautifully, and made this reader completely enjoy this book.
Brad is a highly paid professional football player, but he has lived a rough childhood and covers that sadness, with an obnoxious attitude. His insecurities, make him super outgoing. He has been living the typical bachelor sports hero life, until he meets Shantal.
Shantal is a receptionist at a business owned by her best friends
boyfriend. She is living the single life, and is surrounded by her best friends at her job. They have a close relationship, and support each other completely.
When Shantal first meets Brad, she is completely turned off by his attitude, but then the second time that they meet, an attraction is immediately mutual. They decide on a one night stand, and this becomes more than a one night stand.
Even with Brad’s obnoxious attitude, there develops more feelings between the couple. Their first date turns into a disaster, and Shantal learns a lot about Brad’s childhood, and why he is so obnoxious. They resolve their differences, and finally reach their HEA. As always, I will recommend this book.

This is book four in The Cupid in The City Series and it is Brad and Shantal's story and omg it is definitely a must read. When Brad and Shantal meet things go from had to worse as he was a womanizer, douche, sarcastic and thought that he could get and have anything that he wanted but what he hadn't reckoned on was Shantal who is strong, beautiful, sassy and could put anyone in there place and even if Brad is a famous quarterback for the jets it didn't impress Shantal and she told him so. Wow this book takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and it will have you laughing and crying but I still couldn't put it down as it was a real page turner and so addictive and I loved how Shantal and Brad were so perfect for each other and has such a strong connection and chemistry between them that you could feel it sizzling off the pages but to get the happy ending that they both deserve they would have to be vulnerable and trust each other and the outcome was just what I was hoping for J. S. Cooper is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book and you will not be disappointed. The introduction to The Valenti Brother's really wets the appetite and I am really looking forward to reading there story's.

We’ve met Shantal in previous books of this series and she always seems like a wild card so I wasn’t sure what to expect when I got to her book but was pleasantly surprised! Shantal is headed to a party with the P.S. girl gang when she sees a man drop his wallet. When she tries to get his attention to return it, he mistakes her for a “cleat chaser” and treats her pretty disrespectful. Shantal is not the kind of girl to put up with that so when she sees the same guy “the Brad” at the party, she gives him a piece of her mind. Brad is nothing but persistent and as a star football player, he has a huge ego that permeates anything that comes out of his mouth. Despite his douchebag approach, there is an attraction and Shantal leaves with him. This sets up a series of “one night stands” that aren’t technically “one night stands” according to the couple. Time together reveals they are both gunshy when it comes to relationships and have some trust issues.
I enjoyed the banter between these two and how their relationship grew beyond the physical. Not only did we see a softer side of Shantal, but we also got to know what made “ the Brad” act the way he does.
A quick and fun read to close out his group of girlfriends!

Shantel and Brad well when they first meet he doesn't make Shantel happy she thinks he's good looking but a complete jerk I mean who goes around saying I'm the Brad Chambers maybe Shantel would care if she new anything about sports Mr. Football Courterback but nope its all Greek to her..

Brad Chambers knows his worth but its made him conceited he's had things too easy with the ladies in the past so he thinks Shantel will just be another one and done only she walks away and the chase is on what dose he have to do to keep Shantel.

Shantel just new Brad was going to be trouble the broken hart kind and her history with men has left plenty of burn marks so she's not interested in anything more then a one night stand with a footballer who has a string of women lined up to be with him until she sees the real Brad Chambers not the cocky self-centered one but the real man. This was a fun read all Shantel's friends from the previous books are in this last in series and we meet the Valentine Brother's and the oldest Sam who has and upcoming book..

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.

In this last book of the series and Shantal is the last one of her friends who has not found her forever relationship. You see Shantel believes in real love, she wants her happily ever after. Someone to settle down with, have children and make a real life with. While it’s okay to have fun here and there she doesn’t want to be wasting her time on just any old guy who doesn’t have the same priorities as her. So when she meets this super arrogant jock Brad, who is a superstar football player to top everything off; she can’t conceivably believe that he could possibly be any bit serious about him having a of relationship, especially after all the offhanded comments that he continues to make when they have been together. You will have to read to see how things turn out for Brad and Shantal. Is he her forever man or will she continue to be single? Maybe he is a different man from what he appears to be on the surface and she just has to see something more? I found this a to be a fun and exciting series full of laughs and great ah ha moments. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A Fate Worth Fighting For -
An electric current went through Shantal the moment she laid eyes on Brad, but she was turned off the moment he spoke to her. Their next interaction however confirmed their fate and begun their wonderfully complicated journey, filled with drama, steamy encounters, heartfelt moments and supportive friendships, that led them to finding peace and forever happiness. The sparks between them was evident from the start and never tempered, even though their antagonistic encounters.

This was a truly moving story about two people were meant to be together, but kept fighting it with their stubbornness and keeping their hearts locked away because of the pain from their pasts. I can assure you, that once you start reading this book, you will definitely not want to stop, until you reach the end. It was a really worthwhile reading this awesome story.

Shantel wants what her friends have, A loving guy that will be there and take care of her if needed. She is on her way to meet her friends when a guy ( a gorgous arrogant guy) drops his wallet. One meeting and shes tottally put off even if he is down right sinfilly gorgous. Once she carries on still with is his wallet she gets to the sports thing Susie and Brody invited them all too. And guess who is there Brad Chambers. Brad is blown away by Shantel.. Shes fiesty, sassy and beautiful. But no matter what he does its hard to get close to her. Brad is just soo arrogant that at first its hard to fall for him but once you get to learn about him you realize its all a cover to protect him and his heart. I loved these two characters.

Funny, qwirky, steamy! Shantal, the last member of the group of enteraining women is looking for the same thing her girlfriends found, love from a great guy, being spoiled and adored but she is unlucky in the boyfriend department. One day on her way to a party she meets this gorgeous jerk and faith stepped in! Brad Chalmers is a star football player, gorgeous, sexy , full of himself jerk. Whenhe meets Shantalhe sees her as any other woman in his wold, looking for a good time and nothing else. But this guy met his match in Shantal! These two opposites are attarcted to each other, but are having problem communicating. Great story, where the whole group of friends join in to help our crazy couple to attain the HEA they all found. I volunteered to review this crazy fun story!

When Shantal and Brad first meet, he’s a cocky jerk to her, thinking she wants to be with him. She was just trying to return his wallet. Later that night, she’s introduced to him and she is her sassy self. Brad protects himself with inappropriate comments and we’ll learn why, as we’re reading. Luckily, Shantal isn’t afraid to call him on it. If you’re looking for a good story that has amazing characters , some laugh out loud moments, and some steamy love scenes, all while leading up to Shantal learning about Brad’s heartbreaking childhood, you’ll enjoy this story. I ended up loving Brad, but I wanted to bop him upside his head a time or two, lol.

J. S. Cooper ended this series with such a great book. I loved these two and was completely entertained with Shantel and Brad from beginning to end. They have a great chemistry together, even though Brad comes off very over-the-top about himself. Their relationship starts off very HOT and these two just keep revving things up as their 3 night stand continues. I loved that we also got more of the friendship of the girls from work, which just added to all the humor and drama that was all going on in this story. This book will have you laughing, spark your emotions and make you happy in the end. Each book in this series has been so funny and entertaining. If you haven’t yet begun reading any of them, you’re missing out.

Shantel is at the store before she goes to a party with her friends. The guy in front of her drops his wallet. When she tries to get his attention to give it back, he thinks she is an fan of his. And he lets her know he doesn’t have time. When Shantel gets to the party and is telling her friends about Brad, he shows up at the same party.Brad is a cocky football player. But Shantel is attracted to him. And a one night stand isn’t going to hurt, because it’s just one night. But Brad has a way of turning it into more then one night. And feelings are starting to develop. I loved that Shantel didn’t take any of Brads crap, and had no problem setting him straight. This is definitely an entertaining read!

This is book four in The Cupid in The City Series and it is Brad and Shantal's story. Brad is the quintessential cocky nfl player and full of arrogance. Shantals the quiet secretary of the Winchester enterprises company that Marcia, Lillian and Suzie work at. The storyline was well written the characters are really good. Its a will they or won't they get their hea. Shantel goes on a dating app and has a blind date with a man called Harold. It definitely goes disastrous and Brad comes in to save the day and in the process annoys shantal. Great chemistry, some sad bits when you find out about Brads passed. But a really lovely book.

Shantel is a young woman looking for the man of her dreams. She wants the love like all her friends have. Brad is a conceited, everyone loves me football player. They meet by accident the first time and it did not make a good impression on Shantel. They meet again at a party and nothing will ever be the same for them. Brad is the type of guy that will say or do anything he pleases and that does not please Shantel. They are a crazy, wild and explosive couple when they are together. Awesome story! Great characters! I had to see it end. Can't wait to hopefully see more of them.

Excellent
I really liked this story for its characters who reverse the roles: Brad is arrogant to the extreme, especially after his hook up and Shantal is the exact opposite of the naive who would make him believe that this attitude and his prowess in bed, make him the best match in the world for any woman. This creates lively dialogs and steamy scenes.
It's a very good romance, in which each character turns out to be more endearing than expected by the beginning of their relationship.
It's a very good romance.

Brad is a cocky football player that thinks he can get anyone he wants and be who he wants. When a woman tries to stop him on the street he shuts her down. However, he's about to get a rude awakening because that beauty was in his face again and this time he's about to have some fun. Shantel though isn't for the cockiness of men who think they are all high and mighty. She doesn't know or care who Brad is. These two have past that will have them second guessing everything they know. Can they trust each other enough to fall in love?

I loved Shantal and Brad. This whole series has been great and this book was no exception. Full of snarky banter and great characters. Brad is a cocky and arrogant football player who is used to getting what he wants. Shantal is a strong and independent woman with wonderful friends, but hasn't been so lucky in the romance department. Both are such strong characters and make a great couple. Plenty of steam and full of witty banter, makes this another top read from Ms. Cooper. I love her books and characters. This has been a delightful series.

When Shantal and Brad meet for the first time they get off on a rocky start. Later they meet again, and sparks fly between them. Brad is used to woman throwing themselves at him, so he thinks Shantal is the same. Its not long before he learns how wrong that is. Can they find a way to be together? Or will Brad's behavior have Shantal leaving him behind?

This is a great story that will draw you in from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. This is a book for any book lover to enjoy.

Fun read about 2 people who struggle to figure out love.
Standalone with no Cliffhangers.
Shantal is glad her friends are happy, she wants to find love too. All she finds is playboys so one night is her rule, so why does she keep sleeping with Brad? He is not relationship material. Right?
Brad has a happy go lucky attitude, but this life has not been that easy.
The way they meet will have you laughing, and its only gets better from there.
Rare book where she is more stubborn then he is about a relationship.

The one thing about series is that every book seems the same.. the couple is different but the conversation is all the same. I haven’t been in the dating world for a long time so I’m very curious to know if guys actually start the conversation with sexual innuendos? These characters are supposed to be in their 30s but I feel like the way they talk is a bunch of teenagers. I will say that each couple of course has chemistry but everything else… my rating is based off on the whole series. It was okay.

Shantal and Brad met one night and Brad Chambers as he likes to refer to himself as, couldn’t let go. This was a nice addition to the series. Shantal with her trust and relationship issues always getting in the way of moving forward. Never seeing what was right in front of her face the whole time.
I loved how we got to see the previous characters from the other books and what they were up to as well. I can’t wait for Sam’s book coming out since we got a same tease of him. Another good one.

Tantalizing, alluring and Witty!!
Brad and Shantal’s story had me smiling and enjoying the bickering and bantering between the two delightful characters. I really liked the humour and the passion of this story. Wonderfully engaging, heartwarming and provocative. The romantic aspects are beautiful but the incredible friendship between the women in this series is empowering and heartening.
An exceptional book written to draw you in and tantalize you.
Congratulations Jaimie👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
