Settling into my new life as a rich vampire sire is going better than I expected. My mansion is feeling more like home every night, every room seems to be hiding more hoards of platinum coins, and my two pale-skinned lovers are worshiping me nonstop.
There’s also a third woman in the house now who’s seeking my attention and guidance.
But juggling all of this with the opening of my illegal blood bar is going to be tricky.
I’ve got criminals to drain, platinum to exchange, and a whole vampire government to avoid.
Was hoping it would be at least moderately interesting like the first book. Those hopes were dashed. Not a whole lot happened, it felt more like half a book. And damn, this book could have used a couple of editing passes, as some of the diction really pissed me off. Sometimes i feel Eric Vall doesn't know how to properly speak, cause he uses expressions and words often out of proper context. For instance, the word Smirk. Jesus there's a lot of smirking going on in this book. Is there no other words?
I know, Eric Vall prefers quantity over quality, but maybe he should tip the scales over into quality just a little bit more.
I love the idea this series uses of a world run and rules by vampires, giving a very Daybreakers aesthetic with its own unique spin and twists.
Combine it with portal hopping between vampire Earth and good old Human Earth, add a touch of the prohibition era speakeasy but with blood instead of booze, and plenty of vampiric antics and you get this awesome series!
It's, fun, fresh and exciting! Can't wait for more!
The books deals mostly with the business end on operating between the human world and the vampire world. Very interesting how they interact with one another
This is a fun and interesting take on vampires. Well crafted characters in a fast paced story line filled with action, adventure and spice. Really looking forward to the next installment!
This is such an incredibly entertaining series with a really unique premise! The characters are engaging and have a great sense of depth to them! I eagerly await the next one!
Really loved the continuation of Jace plans to become a stronger, and more powerful sire. The ending was great, made me excited to read next book, and hoping that book three comes out soon.
Eric Vall has been a favorite of mine for a while and this new series did not disappoint. Vampire sire is a good way to introduce a main character that is a good guy but in a bad way. He will be known for keeping his promises. Can't wait for #3.
I like this series and I like where this is going and can’t wait to see the coven grow and I hope fang actually turns into a big monster not just the size of a lab
