I absolutely adored this novel! This is my first book by Jennifer Faye, and it most definitely will not be my last! I was hooked from page one, and taken on a whirl wind ride following these amazingly chiseled characters to the end.

I loved Popi and Apollo. They were wonderful for their roles. I loved watching Popi deal with the sudden reality of single parenthood, and when Uncle Apollo enters the picture, oh lord! I wanted to wrap my own arms around him and hold on for dear life! He was a yummy character for sure, and watching him get to know Popi, and see them get ready for parenthood was awesome. And let’s not forget about the squishy baby, Seb. Who can resist such adorableness? Definitely not this reader, that’s for sure!

If you want a book to take you on a fun ride to a fantastic island and characters that will quickly steal your breath and heart, then look no further than this 4 star read from Ms. Faye. It’s a story of letting go, moving on, and grasping the here and now and loving with all your soul. While book 2 in a series, I wasn’t confused and it’s easily read as a stand alone. Well done, Jennifer Faye! I’m looking forward to book 3.

CLAIMING THE DRAKOS HEIR is the second story in the Greek Island Brides trilogy. We met Popi in the first story as a strong secondary character, now she gets to shine and perhaps find happiness after a heartbreaking tragedy.

Popi agreed to be a surrogate for her sister and she is very, very close to her due date. Her sister and brother-in-law were tragically killed which leaves Popi to raise their/her child on her own. Or so she thought until Apollo showed up on the island daring to make a claim on the baby as his family’s heir. Tempers are about to flare and passions engaged as this couple fights for what they believe is the right decision – when in reality, the attraction between them is blossoming into a different outcome to their disagreement over the future of the baby.

I was easily caught up in the Greek Island Brides trilogy once again with a love story that is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. It’s difficult to make a real decision about someone you’ve never met when you only have one other person’s opinion to go by – and not a good opinion by any definition. Popi was surprised that Apollo was so very different from what she’d been lead to believe. He might be a billionaire, but he knows the value of hard work, taking care of life himself, and more down to earth than she would have imagined. Apollo is stubborn, however, but so is Popi. Both have issues about their siblings’ deaths, both have to trust in the emotions developing between them, and ultimately, both have to decide what is truly best for the baby about to make an appearance. They each will have to trust and take risks, but that’s what falling in love is all about really.

If you love a Romance that touches your heart, makes you laugh or shed a few unexpected tears then you’ll want to continue the Greek Island Brides trilogy with CLAIMING THE DRAKOS HEIR. If you haven’t read the first story, which I loved, you “could” read this one on its own, but you’ll also have a better feel for the island, the characters, and the overall storylines if you can go back to the beginning – in my opinion. I was captured from the first pages right through to the end, and I’m so ready to dive into the next story.

Although this is book two of the Greek Island Brides series, it is a standalone story however it is always fun to revisit familiar places and characters. Having said that, boy did I love being back on a sunny, warm, inviting Greek island! Well, except for the spate of bad weather this time…

Claiming the Drakos Heir is about Popi Costas and Apollo Drakos and the story centers around the two of them and the baby that Popi is carrying. And the book is not centered around the actual baby, if anyone is worried; instead, it is more the idea of the heir. The baby does play a part but does not take over the story.

What I loved about it, without giving spoilers: Popi is a surrogate for her sister and brother-in-law and is thiiiiiiiiiiisssssssss close to delivering the baby. Adrina and Nile, the parents, have died and Nile’s brother, Apollo, has come to claim the baby as the Drakos heir. Besides the chemistry between Popi and Apollo, they both have major guilt (about how they have treated their siblings in the past) and there’s the imminent delivery to get thru. Their budding relationship is tender and sweet, and confusing as all get-out for them, but how they get to an HEA is wonderful.

We do get to visit with characters from the first book and that is always fun for me and Ms. Faye wrote Seb as adorable, as only a baby can be. I truly loved going back to the island, AND visiting the Drakos

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Prism Book Tours. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Will Popi and Apollo fight for their niece/nephew or become a family?
Claiming the Drakos Heir by Jennifer Faye follows up with the ending of the first book and starting new for Popi and Apollo. They are only in each other's lives because of the precious cargo that Popi is carrying. Their niece or nephew from their siblings that died too early to see if they will have a girl or boy.
Popi Costas
Popi is a stubborn woman, but she is also lovely and wants what is best for the baby that she is carrying. Thanks to her adopted sister, Adrina she thinks the worst of Apollo thinking that he will leave when things start to get complicated or that he won't be there for their niece or nephew. Instead, Popi is going to file for custody and keep the baby on Infinity Island. Except not everything is how it seems.

Popi is a very hard worker and doesn't know when to stop not even for the baby. She has a big heart that opens it up to a lot of people and to the one person she never thought that she would be able to know. Popi is worried about the baby being with him until he shows her that he isn't what Adrina has told her.

I do like Popi, and I feel so bad for her. She lost her sister and brother-in-law and is now almost ready to give birth to their baby. Not only that but out of the blue Apollo shows up and wants to take away the only thing left of her sister. I love how she can open up Apollo and get him to see life could be different.
Apollo Drakos
Apollo is the younger brother of Nile and wasn't meant for the family business. The one thing that he and Popi have in common, that isn't their niece or nephew, is the fact that they both think that they killed their sibling. This issue is something that they both have to work through. Apollo also needs to deal with his reluctance of going home to the Drakos Estate that is now his. He wants what is best for his blood but doesn't know if he can have it all as he wants.

Apollo is one of those wealthy trust-fund babies that go out and do whatever they want. Well, until he meets Popi. After that its all up to who you believe in to bring these two together, especially for their niece or nephew. That bundle of joy needs them both as their only family left.

Apollo is an entirely different character that I have read so far from Harlequin, and I love it. He is a rich guy, but he is altogether humble from his travels and would rather get his hands dirty. He likes to do things himself than having someone else do it. I think Apollo and Popi will be good for their niece or nephew.
Claiming the Drakos Heir is a five-star
Claiming the Drakos Heir by Jennifer Faye is so much more than what I thought it was going to be and I'm so honored to be a part of this book blog tour. Ms. Faye has taken us on a journey in this book. I have always wanted to go to Greece, and now I feel like I have just by visiting Infinity Island and a little bit of Athens that we have seen in the book. Apollo, Popi, and their bundle of joy seem like they will be good together, and I hope that they do. I love a happy ending.

I am giving it a five-star rating and recommending it to all romance readers out there.

4 1/2 STARS!

Torn between two homes! She was unselfishly giving her sister a gift, but after a horrible accident, she's all that this unborn child has left. Or so she thinks ... until it's uncle shows up demanding to take custody! Popi and Apollo aren't too sure what to make of each other, but when a storm strike and leaves them stranded with no one to count on but each other, they quickly bond and open their hearts to more than the bickering that's been going on so far. Really touching story with interesting characters and a heartbreaking back story.

Pregnant Popi Costas thought this would be one of the happiest times of her lives as she made her sister's dreams come true by being a surrogate for her baby ... instead she's going through the pregnancy by herself as she braces herself to raise a baby she was never supposed to be keeping.

Apollo Drakos arrives on Infinity Island to take his brother's son to the Drakos estate where it needs to be raised. He might not have been there when his brother and sister-in-law where killed in a horrible accident, but he's there for his niece or nephew now and isn't willing to take no for an answer!

Claiming the Drakos Heir is the second installment from Jennifer Faye’s Greek Island Brides series. Even though it is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone. I loved the first book and this one does not disappoint. Popi and Apollo were so fun to get to know. I was not sure about Apollo at first but he quickly grew on me. Sadly, the two are grieving the death of their siblings. However, they do delightfully bond (or disagree) over the baby that Popi is carrying as a surrogate. I liked their chemistry together.

I give Claiming the Drakos Heir a well deserved five plus stars and I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy sweet and romantic books with beautiful settings. I can not wait to find out what happens next in the third addition to the Greek Island Brides series.

I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.

I'm a sucker for babies and pregnancy stories but Ms. Faye takes to another level.  Putting two very wounded people together that shouldn't be with one another but really do.  In other words, they belonged together.  Just took them a while and the bonus was the baby.  The journey was long with some issues along the way but I totally understood the story arc from the first book til this one.  Do you have to read the first one to understand this story?  No, you don't but I did review it and it's a good one.  Here's the link: Review link

What sets this book apart from the pack is the emotional connection that I felt for both Popi and Apollo from the start.  I could immediately tell that getting these two together would a tough road and Ms. Faye doesn't make it easy for them.  They are both emotionally scared from the deaths of her sister and his brother.  Oh yes, we finally get a backstory on Nile and Adrina.  It's a fascinating story that could only be told through Apollo and Popi's eyes.  In the end, I felt like their deaths were necessary for Apollo and Popi to find each other, let go of the hurt that they had experienced with them and finally be able to find love.

The setting is again lush and exotic.  The gardens at the estate sounded just wonderful and I especially liked how Ms. Faye wove Apollo's adventures to his tending the overgrown gardens.  Their relationship is intense from the beginning with the storm, the birth of the baby and then finding their footing when it came to just living in the estate once the baby is born.  Anna, the housekeeper is a great secondary character that helps Apollo, in the end, understand his relationship with Popi.  While this is on the sweet side, the romantic build up is well done.  The chemistry is palpable and emotional.  Again, don't discount Harlequin Romance.

Overall, this is a great addition to the Greek Island Brides trilogy.  We get to see Xander and Lea, which is a bonus for me.  I can't wait for Stasia's story.  Should be a doozy.

Good book about two people who overcome their antagonism to make a difference in an orphaned infant's life. Popi agreed to be the surrogate for her sister and brother-in-law, never expecting them to die in a tragic accident. She is determined to raise the baby on her own and is shocked when the baby's globe-trotting uncle shows up to claim the baby. Apollo is determined to raise the baby as his brother's heir. He expects Popi to be relieved to escape the responsibility and is shocked when he learns otherwise.

Sparks fly between Apollo and Popi as each stands up for their right to raise the baby. But attraction simmers under the antagonism, and neither is sure how to deal with it. Matters become complicated when they are trapped alone on the island during a storm, and Popi goes into labor. I was impressed by Apollo's ability to suppress his fear and help Popi. During those long hours, they begin to realize that first impressions and others' opinions are not always accurate. This makes it easier for Popi to accompany Apollo back to Athens after Seb's birth.

Apollo and Popi are dealing with much self-inflicted guilt over their relationships with their siblings. This creates a deep-seated belief that they don't deserve the chance to be happy. Added to his responsibility are Apollo's unhappy memories of his childhood in the home he inherited. I liked seeing him use his love of gardening to work through his issues. His true nature came to the surface as the garden blossomed. I liked how Popi found a way to help change Apollo's memories of the house.

I especially enjoyed seeing Apollo and Popi bond over their love for little Seb. Both were determined to ensure that Seb received all the love he needed. I enjoyed seeing Apollo grow into his role as a father, especially the sweet scene in the nursery (gotta love the diaper bit!). But miscommunication and a lack of self-worth nearly drive them apart. The ending was emotional as each realized that they belonged together. I loved the surprise Apollo had for Popi.

Popi Costas is checking for the hundredth time (it seems like that) that everything is set for her friends special day. Leah is going to marry the father of her baby Xander on the special Greek Island known as Infinity Island where they met.

Things are going to be totally changed and updated on the Island thanks to Xander and his generosity. Although Popi's managing very well it is not easy to move around with being pregnant, and almost ready to deliver.

Originally the plans were for Popi to have the baby for her sister, Andriana and her husband Niles. Unfortunately, due to a very unexpected accident that killed them both, the baby was now going to be her responsibility. The only thing she did not realize was that Apollo Drakos was going to appear and want to claim the baby as it was his brother, Niles who died. He wants to keep the Drakos dynasty alive and with the birth of this baby that was possible.

When Popi first sees and later meets this tall, dark and extremely handsome man she is left almost speechless and breathless at the same time. She has heard stories about Apollo and how his relationship with the family is not close. He was not at the funeral, the wedding or other important events in her sister and brother in laws life.

Fighting for custody is what she attends to do as she knows she will love the baby and with the help of all the others on the Island, she will have help. Of course, things never go as planned and therefore the bundle of joy has plans of his own.

This book is enjoyable and of course, has a wonderful ending as Ms Faye always seems to deliver to her readers. If you read the first in the series get ready for some new and fun changes.

There is something magical about Infinity Island. I really enjoyed returning to the Island for this second book in the series. This one started off with Lea's wedding and progressed to Popi Costas, who is carrying her sister and brother-in-law;s baby. Unfortunately they were killed in a boating accident so Popi is going to have to raise the child as her own.

The story starts off with the calm before the storm. A nasty storm hits the Island and Popi cannot get off of the Island. Throw in a handsome stranger, Apollo Drakos, the baby to be's uncle, the storm, and Popi going into labor and you have a lot of drama that keeps you turning the pages quickly to find out what is going to happen next. The story just kept getting more interesting.

I enjoyed the underlying chemistry between Popi and Apollo as they try to figure out who is going to have custody of baby Seb. Apollo's character has a lot of depth and I enjoyed sorting through each of his deep layers o find out what kind of man he was. His mom died when he was born and his dad was verbally abusive towards him and his dad was also an alcolholic.

Popi has her own demons too which you will discover when you read the story. I think this is my new favorite book by Jennifer Faye. I cannot wait to read the next one! I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Oh how I loved Popi and Apollo's story! Two individuals both mourning the lost of siblings who bond over the birth of a precious Baby. Popi agreed to having a baby for her sister and her husband, never imagining they would be killed before the baby is born. Apollo, the baby's uncle has come to claim the baby, he wants to raise the baby in Athens as the Drakos Heir. Now Popi had heard about Apollo, that he was the never settling down type, off to one adventure after another. But his brother's death has changed Apollo. They start confiding in each other and during a storm on the island, they deliver little Seb. Popi agreed to go to Athens while the Island is being renovated. It is there that they bond over this baby and they fall for each other even though they might not admit it to each other. Popi tries to make the Estate a more pleasant one for Apollo, to take the bad memories away. But a misunderstanding has him pushing her away. Will he wake up and see that the three of them belong together as a family? I loved watching both of them change, grow and fall in love, you will too!

Claiming the Drakos Heir is the second book in the Greek Island Brides series by Jennifer Faye but it could easily be read as a standalone. I didn't read the first book but that certainly did not pose a problem for me as there is enough of the backstory to know who Popi Costas and Apollo Drakos are and why they both want to raise their deceased siblings baby.

I loved the setting of the Greek Island and the excitement of the upcoming wedding that was about to take place. The author describes it so well I felt like I was there enjoying the beauty with the wedding party. I think it's safe to say that I enjoyed it much more than Popi who is close to having a baby and no it's isn't her wedding but yes she is a surrogate for her sister, It isn't as complicated as it sounds. it's actually a loving gesture she made. Popi was instantly likable although I viewed Apollo negatively at first. After a couple of chapters I started to like Apollo as much as I liked Popi and really wanted them to live their best possible lives.

The arrival of a new baby is always exciting even if there are some challenges to be met such as who will raise baby, Seb and where he will live. I absolutely loved this sweet story and look forward to reading the next book in the series to find out who will be the next bride on the Greek Island. I received a complimentary copy of this book but was under no obligation to write a positive review.

Popi Costas just lost her sister to a tragic boating accident. Now she is faced with raising her late sister's unborn child alone. That is until the baby's wealthy uncle decides he wants custody of the child. Apollo Drakos is charming, handsome, but has a reputation for being selfish. Popi is determined to keep Apollo away from the baby. However, as Popi gets to know Apollo, she realizes there might be a soft interior under his hard shell. Will Popi and Apollo be able to put aside their differences?

The novel follows the basic formula for a good romance novel: two people who do not communicate with each other and assume the worst of each other. However, the novel does have a few emotional rollercoasters, especially when dealing with a custody battle of a young child. I enjoyed reading and finding out the backstory of each character especially the mysterious Apollo. A definite must-read for anyone who loves romance novels.

Claiming the Drakos Heir is the second in the Greek Island Brides series but can be read as a stand alone story, however I suggest reading the previous story for a little character background as well as the entertainment of the series. Popi is carrying her sister and brother-in-law's child and dealing with the grief and guilt of their untimely deaths. She is determined to raise this child with love and the memory of the parents that created it. Apollo is a traveler and adventurer who has missed many events in his older brother's life including his untimely death but now is determined to raise his niece or nephew. When he and Popi meet, there is a spark of attraction but both are dealing with who will raise the child as well as the guilt and grief of their siblings passing and must overcome the past to find happiness and family in the present. This is a wonderfully written, emotional story with relatable characters that will keep you reading until the very last page.

In this second book of this series, we get the story of Apollo Drakos and Popi Costas.
Popi is a wedding planner at Infinity Island and the surrogate of her now deceased sister’s and brother in law’s baby. Apollo is the adventure seeker uncle of this future child. When he shows up in the island ready to take the baby since he/she is the heir of the Drakos fortune, he not only realizes the baby has not been born but somehow he is attracted to Popi. A woman who will likely be an adversary.
Without giving away the story, suffice is to say that the plot is engaging from the first page, and the complex characters, with all their imperfections, makes them real.
At times heartbreaking as well as heartwarming, it’s a story you will enjoy.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

The second book in the Greek Island Brides-
Ms. Faye writes a beautiful book about love, loss, new beginnings and new life.
Popi agrees to be a surrogate for her sister. It was hard because before she could
be a mom things turned not so good. Popi was lost but she still carried the baby
and couldn’t wait for her niece or nephew to be born.
When Apollo Drakos came to Infinity Island he was expecting his niece or nephew to be born already that’s what he was told.
He didn’t expect Popi still pregnant. All he wanted was to Claim the Heir and be on his way.
It wasn’t that easy.

Popi wasn’t about to hand over the baby to Apollo Darkos. She knew all about the playboy from her
sister.

Buy the book and See what happens.
Apollo and Popi have a lot in common.

I thoroughly enjoyed Claiming the Drakos Heir. As has been said before this is the second book in the series but can be read alone. I like how the two main characters have different opinions on who should raise the baby but are able to come to an agreement without a lot of fighting. They both realized the baby's welfare came first. I really liked how Popi was able to show Apollo that he didn't have to keep running away to a new adventure to enjoy life. The romantic dinner Apollo put together for Popi was beautiful. This book is hard to review without giving too much away. I would highly recommend this book.

Claiming the Drakos Heir

Popi is a surrogate but the parents past away. Apollo comes in town. He is the baby uncle. He wants to take the baby for his family to raise. Will he succeed?

I did enjoy the story of Popi and Apollo. Both were determined to care for the baby. I loved how Apollo took to Fatherhood.

This is part of a series but definitely a stand alone book. Don’t have to read the other books to enjoy this one.

I received a complimentary copy of from Prism book tours. I was not required to write an positive review. This is my own opinion.

Popi who is a surrogate for her late sister and brother-in-law's baby, will do anything in her power to raise the baby on her own. Apollo is her late brother-in-law's brother, and is trying to get full custody of the child. Popi and Apollo are both trying to right things that have gone wrong in their past, and they are determined to do what they think is best for the baby. This is a great book by a super author. I highly recommend this book!

This is the wonderful story of Apollo Drakos and Popi Costas that takes us back to beautiful Infinity Island in Greece. Although she has a heavy heart after the loss of her sister, Popi is excited to be working out all the final details of her friends wedding. When Apollo shows up during the wedding Popi knows it can't mean anything good but she has no idea how much her life is about to change. I recommend you grab a copy of this one and enjoy their stormy story as much as I did.

Another wonderful story! I wish I could meet one of these wonderful Greek billionaires! All kidding aside, I always love the characters created by Jennifer Faye. The heroine and hero are always very engaging - and honest with one another. I love how they find ways to communicate their deepest feelings. Love wins out every time. Keep them coming!

Jennifer Faye has written an enjoyable romance about loss, regret, forgiveness and love.
Popi and Apollo are both grieving when a baby comes into their lives and changes everything. They must each change the lives they're leading in order to become the family the new baby deserves.
I read an advanced copy of this book

Nothing special in my opinion. The plot didn't grab me as much as I thought it would. Does that mean the characters were lacking? Maybe. All I know is that I got bored so started skimming then finally just decided I have too many books in my house that I got from the library and haven't read that it's time to move on. Bored. Maybe average, certainly not above average or better.

Another amazing story from the Greek Island series. The story line has doubt, regret, fear, joy and undeniable love. Wonderful interactions between characters add to the story. Loved it and can't wait for more.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.

A tragic accident claimed the lives of Popi’s sister and brother-in-law. Being their surrogate, Popi is determined to raise their child alone. Apollo Drakos, the baby’s playboy Uncle, arrives with other plans to take complete control. Popi and Apollo are not backing down. There are lawyers, custody issues and the powerful attraction to each other that combine together to make this an absolutely awesome love story. The ending is so amazing I had to get the tissues. Jennifer Faye has written another winning novel!

Ms. Jennifer Faye always delivers the most poignant romantic stories.
Claiming The Drakos Heir truly will enlighten everyone’s belief in fate.
After a freak accident leaves Popi’s adopted sister and her brother in law dead, Popi must forge ahead, after all she’s the surrogate for their unborn heir.
But when Apollo enters the picture not all is smooth sailing. Apollo being the biological uncle and Popi only an adopted aunt, things get super complicated.
Can Popi and Apollo decide what’s best for this Little Heir to be, or are they headed toward a feuding war?
Romance is in the air and the ending is truly heartwarming for everyone.
Claiming The Drako Heir is Ms. Faye’s best book, yet!!!
