Liked this one, it was good.
I liked the couple, I could feel their longing for each other, honestly, it was adorable.
Will had been running for years from his past life and thought that Mackenzie Cove was just another town but in the end, he couldn't leave Viv or the people in it.
I liked Viv, she didn't force her feelings on him, she made herself known and waited to see what he would choose, knowing full well that he would probably leave.
These series have no kisses, just on the cheek maybe but that's it. The tension between the couple is there but yeah, that's all. I'm just warning anyone who would pick this series so they aren't disapointed.
Can't wait to read more from the other siblings

My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Rising Seas. This is book two in the series MacKenzie Cove. I'm a big fan of Edie's work. I was thrilled when it came up for sale. This story is well-written, action-packed, and full of suspense.
Doctor Vivanne MacKenzie works for the police force as a forensic psychologist. Her brother, the chief of police is her boss. She had just returned from a crime scene. A serial killer is targeting people. So far they are just men. She needs to do a profile of this guy. She is to work with a man she has been crushing on for the last two years. Will they be able to work together?
Police Detective Will Natchez is assigned to the serial killer investigation but also to keep the chief's sister safe. There are no obvious connections as he listens to the FBI analyst. The guy is like a child telling them how to do their jobs, really? Will has been hiding in this town for two years. Should he move on before his enemy finds him or he loses his heart to the beauty he is assigned to protect?
A terrifying journey as Viv's life is threatened, and Will's past finds him. God has a plan for them. A good plan for hope and a future. God has a good plan for you too. A plan for peace and not for destruction. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life, even in this time of political chaos.

Rising Storm by Edie James is a romantic suspense book from the Mackenzie Cove Series. (2)

I liked the story, the suspense but I just can’t ignore the fact that this book is called romantic suspense and there is NO romance in it at all.
Otherwise, this is a great read.

Rising Seas, the second book in Edie James’s Mackenzie Cove series, is a fast-paced clean romantic suspense that’s sure to keep you turning the next page. Vivianne Mackenzie is a forensic psychologist working on a serial murder case when she begins to receive threats from the killer. Detective Will Natchez is a man with a secretive past that is assigned to protect her. Her three brothers and her dad join in to protect her as well.
There are a couple of plot twists that keep you guessing because the story doesn’t exactly go the way you think. I thought this book was a great read. I love the faith this family shares together and how they bring Will into their circle. I can’t wait for the next one in this series.

Loved this intense story! Will Natchez is kinda sorta in hiding—he can’t officially go into witsec because he’d have to give up policing altogether, and he can’t quit his calling, so he’s tried to completely reinvent himself in a new place—and his friend warns him that it’s time to run, that the guys after him are in town. But how can he run when the woman he loves is under attack at the same time? And when they get rid of some attackers and escape others, how do they figure out whose are the remaining threat?
Nice twisty mystery/thriller, set on the northern California coast, with a strong heroine whose family fully lives up to my expectations of them from book 1.

What an amazing novel! This story is full of surprises, action, adventure, and romance. The Mackenzie Clan is full of love, togetherness, laughter, and faith. This novel is about Viv, the second oldest Mackenzie sibling. Noah/Will is a detective with a huge secret and learning how to walk in Faith. Viv is slowly becoming aware of her feelings for Noah/Will. With threats against them what happens when trouble comes? Read this second novel in The Mackenzie Cove Series and find out how Viv and Noah/Will's story goes forth. This novel can be read as a stand-alone novel but to enjoy the full story line, start at the first book and enjoy an intriguing and interesting series!

Police and Cove corruption are combined in this action-packed novel containing a serial killer and a San Diego gang that is out to kill Will.
There is a good amount of drama and violence including Will coming out of hiding and renewing his Faith, Rollo and Ayssa’s romance progressing, and forensic psychologist Viviane Mackenzie getting both the scare of her life and the chance of the love of her life.

Great family mystery
The Mackenzie Clan is just the kind of mystery I enjoy. Edie James is a great story teller and weaves a good mystery. They way she combines two mysteries is fast pace, no wait, three but the last one is a cliff hangar and now I have to wait until September to find out the answer. Lots of potential romance and what woman doesn't enjoy the right ending.. Enjoy!

I read this in a three-volume collection. The single novel might not have as many typos. It was strange, too, because I don't think the first story had as many. Still, this story was more to my liking than the first one. I thought the plot was interesting. The MCs were interesting and relatable. Overall, it was an interesting adventure and kept me guessing for a few chapters. If you enjoy inspirational, suspense romance, then give this book a try.

Serial Killer-Gang Revenge-Both
Detective Will Natchez has a secret that could kill him. Psychologist Viv MacKenzie is in the crosshairs of a killer. Will is assigned to protect Viv from the killer. Viv senses that Will is hiding something but has no idea what danger his secret will bring upon them.
Rising Seas is full of action, danger, suspense, faith and romance. The story keeps you entertained and questioning who is the killer. I was surprised when the killer was exposed.

Great Book
Edie did an excellent job weaving suspense through the story, and at the same time describing the characters enough to give them meaning in the story. My favorite part of this book was no bad words or substitutes for bad words, and no sexual innuendo or encounters. Excellent, well thought out book. I will support all her books at this point!!!

Wow!! Edie James deliver a heartstopping faithfilled suspense romantic showstopper yet again! We meet Noah and Viv in their fight for happiness but also their lives! And yes we are reminded that life cannot be lived and won alone! We are blessed with people in our lives. To help us on our way. Cannot wait for the next book about the MacKenzie Family! Excellent story by a exceptional author!

This book has all the things I love in a book. The characters are well drawn, deep, smart, strong, loyal, and devoted to family. The mystery is complex with twists and pulls you along. The Christian message is sprinkled throughout with a light touch. And the romances are lovely. Very entertaining book! Great!!

As with the other books in this series, though a bit formulaic, I appreciate the way Edie James creates a story where action drives the plot forward without sacrificing the budding romance. I continue to enjoy the series and recommend it for anyone looking for clean, contemporary romance suspense with Christian themes.

Viv and her crazy brothers
These grown up detectives and their dad had a rough life. The work they did daily was so dangerous. You had to be on your toes and mentally alert 24 7. So much was going on at one time along with her father having health issues. They have to hire another detective, Noah. Don’t miss a word on this novel……..Enjoy!

The plot was engaging as it involves a serial killer and a gang. The serial killer is targeting Vivian, one of the Mackenzie siblings and a psychologist and consultant to the Mackenzie Cove PD. Will has secrets of his own. I enjoyed the romance between Will and Vivian, the suspense, and discovering who the serial killer is.

This is the second book in the series and it was so good. I love the new characters and the old ones I interacted. The story has an incredible plot and a couple surprising twists. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

The second book in the Mackenzie Cove series does not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoy Edie James’ writing and continue to be enthralled with her mysteries. This was an intriguing mystery with a great plot along with added elements of an additional mystery alongside the main one. Great read!

Dangerous Intrigue

this is a very good story they are looking for a killer but now she is getting notes that he or she is after her i like that the family pull together to find out who is after her . if you like suspense you will want to read the story looking forward to the next one

Rising tension
Lots of ripple effects from the serial killer, and when the profiler is targeted the race is on to solve the case. Added to that a couple of killers after Will you have a lot happening. Loving all the MacKenzie family and looking forward to the next book.

Another great book in the MacKenzie Cove series. There's a lot more to Detective Will Natchez than meets the eye, and psychologist Viv MacKenzie is bound to find out what that is. Great action in a clean romance.
