This manages to be an interesting story while still somehow feeling very standard. My favorite piece of it is the way it manages to be both classic isekai (reborn in another world that's also media consumed by the protagonist in her past life) and yarinaoshi loop, because Serephione has memories of having lived the book plot before as Serephione, so technically this is her second time around after a bad ending. That it's not a harem (reverse or otherwise) is also a positive, as it gives the story a bit more of its own thing, and I appreciate that the illustrations reflect Serephione's changing hairstyles - not too many shoujo heroines go through three in a single book. Beyond that, though, this is very typical of its genre(s), which isn't necessarily a bad thing - just nothing to write home about.

More a 3.5: some good moments I liked, particularly those that moved the plot forward, and that part with Miyu. Personally, the romance bits aren't really interesting (factoring vol. 1 even) - we still don't know enough about Gillain for me to be invested, it's like having a love interest for the sake of it. Schneider's bits have more potential if this were a different kind of story.

Knight school. Her friends and her set out to do some mission to a spoiled princess who doesn't know anything about guilds, thinking that she had authority and can do whatever she wants and refused to pay because she demand Seraphine to kill the people who's in her way however, Seraphione didn't do what she wanted and because of the princess action, the princess country is doomed.

Seraphine is also in danger ever since she met another fellow from her world who also died in her world came into this world and want to Serephione work together but Serephione refuse which she had no choice to fight. Can't spoil the story you will have to read it to know it.

She had to flee and she went to the country and disguised as a guy to protect her identity and also Miyu, the little snake whom she helped before is by her side in Lou's absence. And she stayed the country for awhile doing various job as Fio to survive until Gillian came and save her. Awww....just lovely. And also seeing other guys looking at her, Gillian is jealous which is so cuteeee... and their relationship became closer too. Can't spoil much. You will have to read the cuteness between this two. hehe....

You can purchased this on Amazon or Kobo.

Serephione's plans to live quietly and avoid the plot of the game she's now living were going well . . . until suddenly everything falls apart. Another holy beast appears, and this one is an enemy. Forced to flee, she must carve out a place for herself in some other country.

This feels rather uneven. The core of the plot remains pretty good. Serephione's plans getting challenged feels like a good move to get her out into the wider world, and dealing with other people's issues instead of her own. Her plans to support herself usually end up somewhat comical, as she doesn't have the best grasp of her own strength. Mixed in with that are the few pieces that feel utterly serious, like her growing relationship with Gillian.

On the other hand, the "fan club" segments felt like a complete waste of space. Some of the comedy, again, goes so far out there I just can't find it funny, although the more serious plot driving most of the book means the overreactions at least felt less important than they were in the first book.

Overall, if you enjoyed the first book, read this one. I rate this book Recommended.

OMMFG I'm in love/ obsessed with this series!! AAAAHHHH our Lady of Twilight and her Emperor are so cute!! Don't even get me started on our Holy Beasts!! I cannot wait for her battles with her enemies and her reunion with her family. Hmm will their wedding be in the next book, or the one after that?? Wish it was longer, or that the 3rd book would soon be released!!

Sere for life!

This book is one of maturation and hardship. Sere must flee from her country after a hidden threat comes for her abilities. You also get to meet the last two heavenly beasts, in all their glory. So well written, with adventure and romance.

I read both volumes of this in one evening and have pre-ordered the next one... so I think it's safe to say I'm enjoying it!

Was a little sceptical about the LI at first, but he's definitely grown on me in this second book. And Mihu is a sweetie!

Romance finally

I'm happy to be reading how MC has grown in the years through time jumps and seeing her romance bloom. It was very exciting and enjoyable. I especially loved the side chapter not in her point of view!

Super adorable. Love how the whole book both felt like a continuation of the main story and a side quest with all the new lands, characters, and old characters becoming different. Love Gillian and Sere's relationship. Miyu is an absolute queen and also a whole mood.

Starts off well but she spends an awful lot of the book just… hanging about.
