• had too many things to do and not enough time to do them • lost focus of your priorities and questioned your lack of motivation or drive • believed that if you slowed down, your business would fail and the life you have worked so hard to create would crumble . . .
you're not alone. Entrepreneur, bestselling author, and business coach Jadah Sellner knows what it's like to be burned out, in debt, and just barely holding on to a new business. In the process of launching and building multiple companies, she realized today's aggressive 24/7 hustle culture wasn't working for her--or for her clients.
In She Builds, Sellner shares a new entrepreneurial model for women, centered on sustainable leadership—a practical framework they can use to create a business on their own terms, prioritize their well-being, and break free from the toxic culture that leads to burnout.
She Builds rests on four essential principles of L.O.V.E.:
LEAD: Define "enough" and surround yourself with the support you need to build a business that lasts.
OPTIMIZE: Learn tangible strategies for focusing on what matters to help you and your business thrive.
VISUALIZE: Create a clear yet flexible twelve-month road map that turns your dreams into reality.
EXPAND: Develop a solid foundation for growth and longevity without losing yourself in the process.
Stepping back isn't a failure; it's a strategy. Sellner reminds us that we need to lead with love in life and business, starting with ourselves and moving outward to our families, our teams, our communities, and the customers we serve. Filled with inspiring personal stories, case studies, interactive exercises, and real-world advice, She Builds will help you grow your business and have time to enjoy your life, too.
If you’re a business owner like me who rejects hustle culture and who thrives at a much slower pace, this is a great book. It made me feel like I wasn’t so alone in my feelings. At the end of the day, we have to figure out what is important to us.
She Builds is a practical and inspiring guide for business owners who want to build sustainably *without* burning out or burning bridges along the way.
Jadah's included raw and relatable stories from her own experience building four different businesses over the past 10+ years, inspiring anecdotes from clients and friends, and delightfully actionable exercises we can refer back to again and again as our businesses evolve. (I'm in love with the handy index and the exercise roundup at the end; so helpful!)
As a close personal friend, I've had the privilege of bearing witness to Jadah's #shebuilds journey for almost 10 years now. I've heard many of these stories, seen her teach these frameworks, and bring them into form via this book while working away in her "creative cocoon." Even with that abundance of real-time, behind-the-scenes access, seeing (and hearing!) the end result literally brought tears to my eyes. I'm bookmarking pages, sending copies to my clients, and recommending it to every biz owner I know.
I'm so grateful this book exists and that Jadah was the *unique messenger* to bring it to life.
To potential readers: It's a YES. Buy a copy for you *and* your biz bestie and dive in. I recommend both hard cover (to refer back to exercises) and Audible (for excuse-proof easy listening).
To Jadah: Thank you for pouring so much love into this project so we can all benefit from your lessons learned. Cannot wait to see what you create next.
FINALLY, a book that emulates true representation!
The author, the perspective, the mindset shifts, and the revolutionary ways to live life and run a business ALL in one trail-blazing book. As a Vietnamese-American female entrepreneur, reading this book is like having exclusive access to a mentor who has also been through the gauntlet of capitalism, poverty, and burnout. All the while, KNOWING that there’s a better way to live.
If you’re ready for change and want to be led by someone who is living the anti-hustle life, this book is for you.
This book moves you from thinking into action. Step-by-step plans, systems, and models to build YOUR version of an anti-hustle business model and lifestyle.
I had to read it a couple of times and take breaks because there’s a TON of information in each concise chapter. I read it slowly because there’s a lot of inner work that is required in the beginning. Jadah walks you through those uncomfortable feelings and digs deep to reveal your true desires for a new life and a new way of living.
Change is uncomfortable, yet it’s also the only constant in this life. Jadah is leading us into a new way of living.

She Builds by Jadah Sellner is especially helpful for an entrepreneur who is a couple or several years in and riding the entrepreneurial wave. Jadah shares her journey of business success along with stories where only a glimmer of hope was apparent. She writes with heart and you can feel her authenticity in each story, not to mention step-by-step strategies that allow for in-the-moment assistance (ex: energy audit), goal setting templates per quarter and holistic frameworks that allow for integration of ones head and heart-space (ex: self-care menu). I highly recommend She Builds!
This book is more of an act of self-love. It's so much more than starting a business. It's about holding yourself so lovingly, while also trusting you are made for more than you can see right now and believing that your dreams are worthy. It's the book I needed to know that there is a different way than the capitalist productivity grind for me to further my purpose in the world. Read it now. That's all I can say.
Although I'm not focused on entrepreneurship, I still enjoyed listening to this audiobook for practical advice, stories, and a calmer way of looking at project/life management.
This book has transformed the way I show up in my business and life! As an entrepreneur with ADHD, this book has given me the tools to stay focused and purposeful! Thank you Jadah!
This is a great read for a woman new to business or a reminder for women with experience in business. The acronyms used within the book were unique and I enjoyed their usage.
