Not as good as the original show, or even the other books in this series.

EDIT: As I said in another recent review, I must have been having a bad day when I originally assessed this book. It's just like the others in the series: fun, charming, and true to the old-school episodes.

My son picked this up at the library and asked me to read it to him. Certainly not a book I would have purposefully picked up and chosen to read to him but hey, he ASKED me to read a book to him!!!! Scooby fans should enjoy this one and my kids tried to figure out who the ghostly umpire was as I read.

I gave a four because Shaggy and Scooby weren't believed at first that they saw something twice.

Shaggy and Scooby ate fifty pizzas so now they get go free baseball game. The owner of Comet's team is there too and he's not having good time when comes bringing people in watch team.

This one guy keeps wanting buy the team and he's refusing. Which was why when stuff starts happening I thought was him, but I was wrong which was cool. It's nice to be surprised at some things.

Scooby catches the culprit by accident which I always love him when does something good not meaning to.

This was a great Scooby book. The mystery was interesting and there were a few suspects so it wasn’t obvious who did it. My only problem with this book is that the pictures aren’t that well done. Other than that I enjoyed the book and thought it was great. I definitely recommend it for Scooby fans!

Scooby-doo , Shaggy and the Mystery Team are at the ball game - they'd rather be eating snacks but on the way to the snack bar - they run into a ghost! The ghost must be stopped before the game is forever closed to everyone.

A fun loving read for anyone enjoying Scooby-doo!

We love all things Scooby-Doo, so whenever we find a Scooby-Doo book we haven't read yet at our local library, we just have to borrow it. The stories in the Scooby-Doo! Mysteries series are simple, fun, and we enjoy reading them together. Right now, our girls really like these short chapter books, but they also like the shorter picture books too. We've read about seventy of these stories, but there are so many more out there...I think we'll be having fun with these stories for years to come.

This tale involves a baseball game and a ghostly umpire. Can Scooby and the gang solve the mystery? We enjoyed reading this book together and will certainly look for more of these stories at our local library.

Shaggy has won tickets to a baseball game and he and Scooby and the gang go to Shakey Stadium to watch the Shakey Comets play. While at the game, they witness a ghostly umpire and other scary sights. They may be part of a scheme by a prospective buyer who wants to spice up the boring Comets’ games. Fortunately, Scooby and the gang discover clues to identify the mysterious ghost. This short chapter book follows the tried-and-true Scooby mystery formula. It has a few color illustrations scattered throughout and will probably interest intermediate readers, but Scooby purists may find the title tedious. Much of the Scooby-Doo humor and appeal is missing without the graphic format.

My 8 year old loved this Scooby Doo chapter book. It was very easy to guess who the monster was but he still enjoyed it.
