Being a minor Goddess has its perks. No one questions where she's going, what she's doing, or the fact that people seem to die around her. Thalia is an assassin and a good one at that. Her latest assignment? Enter the Labyrinth and kill the Minotaur. The...surprisingly hot Minotaur.
His world has been pain and darkness. Then she shows up. Beautiful and violent, she is a ray of sunlight in his stone prison.
The Fates are decidedly not in their corner, but who's to say a secret assassin and the monster she's sent to kill can't find love?
The Minotaur And The Muse is a spicy romance featuring a Minotaur and a woman. No cliffhangers, HEA guaranteed. Please see the Note From The Author for a full ldesciption of the contents.
It was a quick read based on the original Greek mythology of the maze and was mostly made of minotaur monster smut between the Minotaur and Thalia the goddess/Muse assassin who had originally intended on killing the Minotaur for a bounty but instead fell into an insta-lust/insta-love relationship, and both refused to kill each other. I am not a fan of easy instant relationships and started heavily skimming about 40% into the story. Many aspects were told rather than shown, and I felt everything was very shallow. I also wasn't convinced of their insistence that they needed to be so violent rather than changing to a gentle life in retirement. The monster smut was also pretty vanilla for the genre, and the only thing monstrous, really, was the fact that he had horns and bull head and a huge D.
This novella is hot and heavy and magic. Ask any of my friends if I’m into Minotaurs. No, I am not. But ask me if I devoured this sexy romp with a monster? Hell. Yes.
This was good. I shouldn't have read it so close on the heels of The Minoan Bride by C.M. Nascosta. there were so many parallels, and I preferred The Minoan Bride. I did like her explanation for why the minotaur would be aggressive and violent. It was tragic, but it made more sense than the prevailing mindless monster theory.
The book wasn't bad or anything, I just wasn't able to connect with it for some reason so it left me feeling kinda eh about it overall. Oh well, it happens! 🤷🏻♀️
Erotic monster romance (I lost track of the flame count!) of a muse that is also an assassin sent to kill the Minotaur. If you like G.A. Aiken's combination of wit and violence, you'll like this one. Consent, empathy, feminism, and empowerment are all big themes here, while also being very sexy. Moira is known for her banter and this book maintains that but levels up by wrapping her style in Greek mythology (she also adheres closely to the original myth) I also love that he's a cinnamon role that likes to garden and keep a clean house! :P
Loved this so much! The twist on Greek mythology was clever and original. The romance was fast-paced, hot and sexy, with the enemies to lovers trope executed very well. And the ending, omg, it was just adorable. Hope there are more stories to come soon in this universe!
