When you stand fearless before death, you become a force to be reckoned with. For me, love has never been a vulnerability—it’s my redemption. By serendipity or destiny, she entered my life, transforming every moment into something extraordinary. She arrived as a beacon when I was adrift, affirming that there’s something in this world worth fighting for.
Cassia, my radiant queen, erred in loving a creature like me, yet her love became my salvation. As my enemies plotted my downfall, it was her defiance that shattered their schemes, altering her fate forever. Her sacrifice to save me was met with the cruelest of rewards—her demise and a cursed rebirth.
Now, after decades, my heart leaps as Cassia returns, reborn as Kenna. She is fierce, headstrong, and defiant, challenging anyone who dares to protect her—even from herself. The years have not dulled my resolve; I cannot distance myself, drawn irresistibly to her by the bond that unites our souls for eternity.
As we grow closer, I uncover a sinister truth—a rival hunts her, lurking in daylight and haunting her dreams at night. This time, I vow to wield all my power to shield her, to alter the tragic course that destiny has charted for her. Because she is the very essence of my existence, and I will defy fate itself to keep her safe.
Fate’s Ritual is the retelling of Ritual Nightmare as told from Logan’s perspective. With additional content to answer the questions, Kenna’s book couldn’t.
Note from the author: This novel contains mature content not suitable for all readers. Strong language, descriptive sexual encounter. The entire series is intended for readers 18+.

I am such a fan of this author! Loved being able to read more of Logan! Kenna and Logan, I love reading about. Kept me on the edge of my seat. What made me sad about this being the last book! I hope the author writes like side stories based on this series. Well done. I am not going to say a lot because I am not going to spoil. If someone loves a series of books I suggest this series, and start with book #1!
I dont normally get so into romances, but this one has kept me hooked for three books now. The tone takes a second to get into but it's absolutely perfect for Logan's character. I really felt for Kenna in this one; not wanting her sanity to come into question and getting awful sick of someone always rushing in to save her... despite her sometimes needing it quite a bit. On to book four. Definitely recomend.
After my enjoyment of book 1 and even more so book 2, I’m afraid my overall reaction to book 3 was one of puzzlement and confusion. As far as I could see, this story was essentially book 1 retold from Logan’s perspective instead of Kenna’s which, to be fair, the blurb does forewarn the reader. Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t honestly see the point of doing this. I love a flashback, and revisiting an earlier scene to gain a new perspective on events, but doing that for a whole novel is pushing the concept, in my view. Judging the book on its own merits, it’s well written and the characters are as vibrant as ever, even if I continue to dislike Logan. I particularly enjoyed the flashback scenes that showed us how Logan came to meet each of his friends and, in some cases, enemies. Sadly, this wasn’t enough to sustain my interest in the story as a whole. I’m still planning on finishing the series because I still really want to know what happens next. It’s just a pity this book didn’t contribute anything towards that. I’m just desperately hoping that book 4 will not confirm my suspicions and does not simply retell book 2.
Logan first met Cassia when hunting a rogue angel. He was instantly smitten, captured by her kindness and beauty, especially her emerald eyes. The two had an intimate relationship but what Logan didn't know was that this action sent Cassia on a path that only allowed her to return to him every 27 years! She returned as Kenna, the bond still as strong but memories are wiped clean. 3rd book that continues this series of the powerful, deep bond between Logan and Kenna as he keeps his promise to protect her through her troubled life. Love how we now get to know more about each of the characters, their backgrounds and how they all became one big family, makes it all fit together well. Great ending that leaves you wanting to reach for the next.
Fate’s Ritual is book three in Marcelle Valentine’s Scarred by Fate Series. Fate’s Ritual gives you an in-depth view of Logan’s perspective and reveals the identities of the loyal subjects that surround him and the circumstances behind their undying devotion. In Fate’s Ritual, we discover how Kenna and Logan are bound together by fate; then, book three ends with a cliff-hanger leaving us to wonder who really betrayed Logan and what happens to them. Fate’s Ritual is another five-star read that kept me turning the pages to discover the answers to all of Logan’s secrets, and left me eager to read book four to find out how the fates of true love will finally end. Highly recommend.
I more than loved it!!! The only bad part is it ended. I need more!!!! Oh my gosh! It great getting Logan’s side of things. It really help clear a few situations up for me. When is book 4 coming? And there’s another problem, I need that book NOW! I have to know what happens! I really like learning how Logan met all of his friends. And his one true love. And have I mentioned, I need more now? I seriously love it. This is one of my favorite series!
This is one of the most interesting sequence that deserves recognition. Although I felt like I already knew the story. Since this was Logan story. And grammatical I also couldn't complain.
During who knows hundreds BC, kind, charming villager, Cassia falls in love with Logan, who’s there with his immortal council of friends. Cassia’s actually Logan’s eternal love who appears in his life every 27 years or so. He recognizes her persona and eyes but she has no memory of him.
Their romance ends each time with Cassia dying while helping Logan battle a demon enemy. The demon placed his mark on her after the last battle, so he could find Cassia when she's reborn. This time she's Kenna, a waitress in Logan’s nightclub and sole survivor of her family’s massacre by a demon her father summoned. Once again Logan vows to protect his love better than ever!
While a good read, this reader isn’t particularly a fan of flashbacks and there are many. The feeling of having read this outing before is true as it’s Logan’s POV of Ritual Nightmares: Scarred by Fate Series Book One. All that said, this outing blends what you know and answers the question of what did Logan do while waiting. Rating: 4.25stars
This book is the third in the series and does not disappoint, just like the others. This is Logan’s perspective on what happened. Sometimes, when this is done, I have gotten bored and find myself skimming through the book because I already know the story. But this was different, we really got to see how the family is built and exactly why Logan is the way he is. I can’t wait for the next one to see what happens. I’m so excited to read it.
Ok, I’m going to be honest - I was a tad disappointed that this wasn’t a continuation of the last book in the series, as I really wanted to know what happens. But this only means there is another book to look forward to. Fate’s Ritual is from Logan’s POV - it does need a good edit, but that doesn’t take away from the fantastic story. Honestly cannot wait for the next book!
Did you ever wonder what Logan said to Kenna when he spoke in another language? Would you like to know how the people surrounding him came to be considered family? Is it possible the brooding is actually him trying his best to protect her? Do you have a burning desire to learn what happened to Logan in 1888, the very event that allowed his demon to take over? Fate's Ritual will answer these questions and so many more. It is first and foremost Ritual Nightmares from his perspective with extra tidbits you can't get in any of the other books.
