So She Dances: Riding the Changing Winds

Rate this book
With the help of a smooth-talking cowboy, a broken ballerina battles physical and emotional trauma to get back to the barre, and maybe find love in the process.

No more daily routines.
No more barre warm-ups.
And no more ballet.

After a devastating injury, Adeline Vaughn's career is over. Having no other choice, she uproots her life and moves to Kentucky to live with her aunt. But the welcome party that greets her is not what Adeline expects— nor the spark that ignites between her and a certain cowboy. As she rebuilds her life, Adeline struggles with her compulsive tendencies and deeper wounds she isn't ready to confront, that is until Quinn Daniels with his slow smiles and southern charm steps in. Adeline soon finds herself the subject of this blue-eyed charmer's desires, but can he connect with Adeline as she fights to break the chains of her past?

Flashbacks.
War.
And loss.

Life on the ranch is busy for Quinn Daniels but no matter how much he puts on his plate, his past comes back to haunt him. He has a sister and friends who support him, but it isn't until a darlin' ballerina sashays into his life that Quinn sees the peace he needs so desperately. But Adeline Vaughn is not like any woman he has ever tried to lasso before. It will take all his southern charm and a huge amount of patience to claim the timid ballerina's heart. But will she want him when she learns about the hidden demons he battles?

A shy ballerina's life shattered in an instant.
A rugged cowboy haunted by his past.
Will the two be the answer to each other's pain?

A clean romance about self-love and finding acceptance.

My copy of this book finally came and I absolutely love it!💖💖💖 By far my favorite book. 📕 📚 📖

This story gives a unique spin on a trope I didn’t even know I needed: the ballerina 🩰 and the cowboy.
Quinn is my ultimate book boyfriend, in fact he’s husband material. Some of his lines who total swoon worthy and the fact that he actually wore a cowboy hat…🤌🏽🤌🏽🥵🥵

Adeline was such a sweetheart! Her kind and literal Angel-like attitude was perfectly depicted and understood.
The group of friends this couple had to rally around them was perfect. I feel in love with every single one of them.

LivingRed has done an amazing job coupling everyday issues and romance all while making the story realistic and full of angst.
I love that not only is she a clean romance writer, but the story is not boring or without the tension you get from other books. I love how I can pick up a book without feeling guilty or hiding the cover.

Big supporter of LivingRed and I am not ashamed to say I have read So She Dances three times already.

What a story! A fantastic read! A breath of fresh air!

The Journey: This is a story of pain and growth. We follow one of the leads as she goes through something traumatic and life-changing, yet when she begins healing, she heals in ways she never imagined, thanks to the environment and support of those around her. This story touches on mental health and the struggles there, the importance of healthy boundaries, and of surrounding yourself with those who lift up instead of smother. It was a beautiful Journey and story through and through. And of course, the romance didn't hurt ;)

The emotion: I cried, I laughed, I got warm and fuzzies, I got enraged... This story had me feeling a wide variety of ways and I enjoyed every moment of it.

Characters: The two lead characters were lovely to get to know, fall in love with, and witness their own love grow. BUT, the two leads are not the only characters I grew to care for. The side characters all wormed their ways into my heart (except for those I HATED-- and with good reason)

This story is a part of a series and I can not wait to read more of them. <3

A MUST READ!

I’ll dive right into this, just like I dove right into Addie and Quinn’s beautiful story.
From the moment I picked up this book and read the first few pages, I was so lost in it that I couldn’t put it down for the entire day until I finished it.

Adeline is a character with flaws but so real and relatable, that you just HAVE to love her. And boy does Quinn make it seem so blissfully easy! He’s the guy you dream about and want yourself; just the way he is. Both conflicted and battling their own demons––they find a way to sneak into each other’s hearts in such a beautiful way that it’s impossible not to fall in love as well.

Living Red is amazingly talented at writing with a great sense for details. Characters and scenes come alive in ways that satisfies completely, and lingers even after you’ve put down the book once you’ve finished it.
She encompasses raw emotions skilfully, sets the tone accordingly and can make light situations shine with humor and sweetness that it just pulls on your heartstrings.

I have truly loved reading this story for so many reasons.

Thank you for writing something so purely magnificent, dearest Living Red!

I can’t wait to read more of what you grace us with!
