Thomas Ironcutter has friends on all sides of the law, including Flaky, a member of an outlaw biker gang who has been arrested for murder.
While attempting to help clear Flaky of the murder, Thomas is hired by a mysterious man to recover a religious artifact, which may be instrumental in upending the entire Christian faith. During all this, Thomas is being stalked. Who is following him and why? Is it an enemy from his past, or does it have something to do with his current investigations?
After being honorably discharged as a Sergeant in the United States Army, David Achord found his true calling in law enforcement. His twenty-five year career included stints with the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department and the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. A lifelong Tennessee native, he is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and Cumberland University.
I've been so busy reading apocalyptic fiction lately that I've drifted away from mysteries and adventure fiction. David Achord is drawing me back with this very well written series.
Ironcutter has had a rough few years and this time the author kicks him while he's down. I even cried over the Superbird. The ending has me eagerly awaiting the next book, fingers crossed that life starts looking up for our intrepid hero.
