About the author

Born in Portugal in 1985, Catarina Sobral writes and illustrates for picture books, children's plays and animation films. After studying Graphic Design, she graduated in Illustration in 2012. Her illustrations are a regular presence in editorial illustration, album covers and posters, and she has published twenty-four books in dozens of different languages. Her work has been exhibited both in solo and group shows in many places around the world and recognized by the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, the Portuguese National Illustration Award, the Portuguese Authors’ Society, the White Ravens catalogue and the 3x3 magazine.

Gelezen in het Nederlands, geen zin om nog meer boeken toe te voegen aan GR. XD Een best redelijk boek, ietwat chaotisch maar op een gegeven moment zat ik toch in het boek. Ik vond het een leuk idee en knap ook dat ze het in een prentenboek-formaat is gelukt om alles uit te leggen. De illustraties, tja, ik vond ze enerzijds wel leuk.. anderzijds toch ietsje minder.

Tej książce nie można odmówić pomysłowości, przemyślanie ułożonej wiedzy dawkowanej bardzo ostrożnie, aby każde dziecko było w stanie zrozumieć, o co w niej chodzi. Ilustracje są dość proste, z pewnością przyaciągną uwagę młodszych czytelników. Książka sprawdzi się w domowej biblioteczce, jak i w przedszkolu. Ma siłę przyciągania, niczym Ziemia.
