Jon Gordon is one of my favorite authors. Alex Demczak now joins the list! The Sale is a great book! It is an easy to read, Jon Gordon style book. The journey through the life of Matt captures your interest, draws you in and provides you with opportunities to think along with him about the many issues the reader is invited to share with him. We have all heard the word integrity, but when we are faced with choices how do we respond. These are the lessons explored, taught and felt as you turn the pages to the very end. “For a leader, self-care is very important, but living with integrity allows you to shift your focus to others.” “Name a recent example of when your walk did not match your talk. Who was impacted by your actions?” Do you want to learn the Four Laws of Integrity? Do you want to know about Matt and how things work out for him? I encourage you to purchase your copy of The Sale! Do a book club with friends, co-workers or if you are a leader it is a great one to do with staff. Integrity is what everyone seeks in leadership and each other. Well done!
Being part of the launch team for "The Sale" by Jon Gordan and Alex Demczak several weeks ago yesterday had the opportunity of reading it again. The story line teaches the reader about several aspects of life. Integrity in everything you do work and home and how this leads to trust which basically sets you free. The individual in the story is challenged by work and family and is taught by a stranger he meets at the airport who helps him realize how his issues are interrelated and affect both. Through his learning over time he corrects himself and grows both in family and work. It's also a story of right and wrong. Randy tells the story that a single lie might not be hard to handle but you add one and you have to start to manage the lies. You add yet another and you end up managing all the lies. You lose trust and creditability to and around everyone. In the end Matt did the right thing at work which restored his creditability with both family and work. Quick read but very valuable. Another great life lesson.
The Sale by Jon Gordon is a concise and powerful business parable that explores how integrity and trust are the true foundations of long-term success. Through the story of Matt, a struggling professional, Gordon guides readers to reflect on their own personal and professional choices.
Matt’s journey is relatable and thought-provoking, offering valuable lessons for anyone navigating the pressures of performance, ethics, and authenticity in their career.
One message that especially resonated with me is something I first learned from my high school coach: "Character and Integrity mean doing the right thing—even when no one is watching."
Gordon distills the essence of integrity into four clear insights: • Integrity Builds Trust • Integrity Enables Long-Term Success • Integrity Reflects Your Best Self • Integrity Frees You to Truly Live
This book is a quick read, but its message lingers long after the final page. Highly recommended for anyone looking to reconnect with their values and lead with purpose.
This book reveals that doing the right thing, even when it’s hard, leads to a life of integrity and success. "Integrity is not a one-time decision. It is a decision you make each day for the rest of your life. And life is a whole lot better when you surround yourself with people who choose to live with integrity, hold you accountable, and support you along the way." –Jon Gordon & Alex Demczak, "The Sale"
If you are looking for inspiration and encouragement that doing the right thing—even when it's hard and you are challenged and exhausted—this book will lift you up and remind you what really matters!
This book comes out in April, but I managed to get my hands on a copy of the manuscript and it was a tremendous blessing for me. It’s a well written fable by a dynamic duo that reminds us of the competitive advantage it is to operate with integrity. I was so moved and blessed by this book that I am preordering this book for our entire staff and a number of students. Further, there are no better authors to write about integrity and building trust than Jon and Alex. They are both tremendous leaders who reflect Christian values. I loved it and can’t wait to read it again with our team.
I was blessed to get a copy of the manuscript. I couldn’t put the book down, and look forward to buying a copy for myself. It was easy to read with many great points that one can apply to life. Integrity is such a large topic and I am grateful that the authors took it on. It is easy to forget how integrity impacts all of our life: personal, home, and work. Please pass this book on so others can be challenged and grow in their integrity.
Throughout your life you'll be faced with the question, "how much is my integrity worth?" This book helps to illustrate that your integrity is priceless. Fantastic book with a great story. I highly recommend it.
This book was recommended to me by a real estate agent I work with through Veterans United Realty. VUR has some similar values as this mentioned in this book. (deliver results with integrity, be passionate and have fun, enhance lives everyday)
This was an absolutely pheromonal book! It brings to light the aspects in our life that are truly important and are worth investing in over our careers. (Family) I found many of the principles convicting in my life to better serve and invest in my wife and son on a daily basis. I would highly recommend this book to anyone!
Another great book by Jon Gordon! Alex and Jon did a fantastic job with the story and brought out all the things I've seen over the years of working in different roles. I have definitely been guilty of some of the shortcuts and misaligned thinking. This book serves as a reminder that doing the right thing is the right thing to do in business and life.
I always enjoy Jon Gordon's books but I was hesitant on this one because I am not into sales. But this business fable co-written with Alex Demczak is about something much more important than sales, INTEGRITY. In business, or in our personal lives, integrity has taken a backseat recently and this book shows why we need to recommit to living with integrity.
Another incredible book on life from Jon Gordon and team. Really makes you reflect on yourself and want to become better. Entertaining, poignant, and practical. This is one you'll never forget and want to read over again!
Though I am not normally one for fiction-type books, this was the perfect combination of fiction while deliving powerful insight without having to dig deep into the authors message.
