From contemporary romance writer Violet E.C, comes a new urban fantasy romance novel...
Mary Lux always knew she was different. She suffered through high school, bullied mercilessly at the hands of bad boy Dante Enfer. Until one day, after an incident involving the two of them, he disappeared off the face of the Earth, presumed dead.
Ten years later, he’s back and with a taste for revenge after the way things were left between them.
Don’t they say that hate and love are two sides of the same coin? Mary goes extreme lengths to avoid the intense charcoal gaze of her childhood tormentor. But with her unique heritage, an impending prophecy and their undeniable attraction to each other, will they survive what’s about to come?
Contemporary romance writer Violet E.C, began her writing journey with fanfiction when she was only 13. After hundreds of thousands of readers on her stories, she decided to take the leap into publishing over a decade later.
The books starts with Mary in high School we, see her getting bullied by the school bully Dante. The book then skips a head 10 years, and Mary is finally getting on with her life, that is until Dante turns up out of the blue. Dante wants a job at the real estate firm Mary works at. But Mary doesn't want him there. The book soon takes a more supernatural turn, and things aren't at all what they seem. A really good read, and I'll forward to book 2 in the series.
From the very first page this book had me intrigued. I was honored to be chosen to be an arc reader for this book, for I’ve purchased another book from this new author that gave me high hopes for anything else she’d publish. and I’m glad to say that this did not disappoint! Anyone who likes a steamy bully romance with a great plait and story with epic world building and soft touches that balances it all out… will love this start to a new series! #ilovemybadboys
Where to begin... I LOVED this book. Violet has created the world so that you can easily visualise it and the characters are so relatable and likeable. The chemistry between the female and male leads is addictive and unlike some fantasy books it was easy to follow and understand. I finished this book wanting to know so much more. I can’t wait for the next in this series.
