The Montgomerys #3

Betrayed Love

Rate this book
An age-gap, billionaire romance where secrets and revenge are embraced in a dangerous tango…

It began with lies. So many lies.

I was born unwanted. In pain. Addicted. A crack baby.

I was given a second chance, but I want a third. A fresh start—out from under my parents’ control. I was on my way to building my new life when my neighbor crashed into it, wrecking all my plans.

Heir to his family fortune, Henry Ward III, returned to Texas with a plan of his own. With burdens as heavy as my own secrets, he needed a distraction.

And with a man like him—who could own the boardroom and my body with one gruff gaze from his intense dark eyes—I was down for a distraction too.

Little did we know, his burdens and my secrets are so heavily entwined, there’s no way to untangle them.

I’m a Montgomery.

He’s a Ward.

We might as well be the Capulets and Montagues. Our connection is that rife with drama. That forbidden.

That dangerous.

When the past repeats itself, a distraction is the last thing we need. We need a lifeline as much as we need each other. The vicious cycle has to stop.

It’s life and death.

I loved the way the relationship between Quinn and Henry felt so real. Their banter was fun and when coupled with Quinn’s niece, Nora, this book quickly hooked me in and held me. With lots of Montgomerys included, this was a great read!

This is one of those books that I am always searching for. I feel like this gives you everything you could ask for. The most important thing is the connection between the main couple, Henry and Quinn. From the first time they meet all the way to the end, I enjoyed every interaction with these two.

My first thought was how are these two going to fit? Henry is an experienced "seen all, done all" kind of man. He's about to take on a nasty battle and he's gearing up to win. Quinn has been sheltered her whole life and she's just now trying to step out and be her own woman. My first thought was Henry is going to eat her alive. Their relationship is not something you can predict and I enjoyed watching these two fall in love.

This also had an amazing amount of side characters. I loved seeing some past favorites and getting to know a few new favorites. I think they all brought a lot to the story with so much emotion and feeling, which is why this made for the perfect package for me. I loved it!

This series is full of intrigue, strong women, protective men, heat, humor, and is just basically AWESOME! I highly recommend it!

Quinn popped up in Broken Halo - and I recommend the whole series, as I sad, but definitely recommend reading Broken Halo before this one in order to get to know Quinn before her story. I did a re-read of the last few chapters before diving in & was happy I did so.

I love the way Quinn & Henry meet. They have an instant connection, but it's not a story of insta-love. It's friendship & distraction, it's being there for each other during the stressful times that pop up immediately. Theirs is a story about friendship & family. There's lots of banter & some super fun text messages! And of course *fans self* steam, steam, steam!

Nora is a riot as well as adorable, and we also get to catch up with Quinn's new-found family. There's A LOT going on in the story, and yet it feels like a quick read because I didn't want to put it down! I love the way Henry's brain works, and I love the support they show each other.

Thumbs way up for this story - Quinn & Henry just might be my favorite!

Henry and Quinn gave me butterfly's. They were that couple in romance novels that anytime they're together you can't stop yourself from smiling. Between the cute banter, the sweet gestures, and the steamy scenes they gave me everything I could have wanted. I felt invested in their story from the very beginning and it truly captivated me. There were some heavy moments involved in the story as well but Ms. Asher did a brilliant job at still keeping the book light and fun, and I really loved that. This is definitely a must read and one I highly recommend.

Oh my gosh! So good.
This book broke my heart and then put it back together again. I laughed and I cried and I got pissed (Henry Jr, UGH I'd love to kick that guy in the teeth, he's so gross) and I swooned, because Henry is P👏E👏R👏F👏E👏C👏T, y'all. I literally had to debate with myself on whether or not he would become my #1 book boyfriend of all time. I thought long and hard about it, because Henry did everything right and not one thing wrong.
The storyline was great and well written. The timeline flowed nicely. There was chemistry between Henry and Quinn from the first time they met. I really don't have much criticism except for the fact that I have to stop reading it at some point. Boo

Really enjoyed.
I reread the series from book 1, I'm glad I did as each character is introduced in the previous book and although it's a couple per book, the family dynamic builds.
The Hero is a bit older, I think 10 years.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
No other woman or man drama.
Hero ends up caring for his neice early on.
HEA.
Epilogue.

2.5 stars. Just disappointed in everything BA atm.

I was bored reading this, nothing really remarkable happened. Lots of day to day boring shit… with a few dramatic events thrown in.

I felt like their relationship progression was disgustingly fast. This was the heroine’s first relationship and she was moving in within within days. Heroine ofc also only had sex once before and it was sooooo bad. No surprise there, right? Hero is 10 years older, has most likely had an uncountable number of partners (although this isn’t stated, just that he was pictured with many random models and actresses and other beautiful women). Still, even though she’s practically a virgin, he is obsessed with having all of her firsts. He’s soooo upset that one man had come before him. LOL. He’s had lots of great sex before but thankfully the heroine does get one of his firsts… no condoms. The first time they have sex. She mentions that she’s on BC because her parents are both doctors… but she was never taught about STDs? How is she dumb enough to see all the women he’s been with online and still allow him to immediately go bare? This is before they are even exclusive or official or anything!!!!

Anyways, I’m just tired of the same old trope. At least in this story, the heroine and hero’s sister rescued themselves and didn’t rely on men to do the dirty work. So that’s why I rounded up.

Safe
Nearly virgin heroine (sex 1x in past)
Celibate heroine
Hero had many partners but not clarified if he was a manwhore
No OM/OW drama or scenes
No others from the start
No cheating

This is a hard one to rate. On one hand... It's Brynne Asher, and I LOVE her style of writing. On another though, this wasn't as engaging as the previous books. It might be because I reread 3 of my favorite books by her right before this one, so I had higher standards for this, but I ended up having a harder time getting into this one.

Started off great but slowly went downhill. I think it just got a bit repetitive. It was constantly Henry dealing with his business issues or his family, then spending the night with Nora and Quinn, then having sex with Quinn, then more work or dealing with Faith while Quinn is always watching Nora. I just didn't feel the chemistry that much unfortunately as their time together was always short or cut off because he was always working or dealing with Nora and then all of a sudden they are the love of each other's lives. I needed more Quinn and Henry time for their romance to be fully believable but it was a let down. When they are together though, I did love them, so that's unfortunate. I did LOVE the bonus scene though. I wonder if it is a hint to what Brynne will be writing next.... 3.75 stars rounded up to 4 though because there were parts I still really enjoyed such as the beginning, both working together on being new parents, and all the side character parts (especially with my bae Cam).

Safety: (spoilers)

No ow/om drama

No cheating/sharing

No manho/virgin- heroine only has one sexual experience. Very slight details on heros past.

Both are only with each other after meeting.

Hero is uncle turned dad. (Not actually his kid but he does eventually adopt her which is the twist on single dad)

Another amazing story in a great series!
Brynne Asher never disappoints. It is so easy to fall in love with her characters and her storylines that hooked you and keep you reading till the end of the book. And this one was no exception. Quinn and Henry were amazing and hot together. I adored Henry’s niece Nora, his sister Faith who moved me emotionally, and the whole Montgomery’s clan. 4 solid stars!

Brynne Asher's Betrayed Love has definitely slammed into my top 5 of 2022!

Quinn and Henry are STUNNING as the final couple in the Montgomery family! Their intelligence, compassion, empathy, and snark (on both sides - but mostly Henry's mouth and brain, oh my!) brought me to a complete standstill, and made me wonder if it were possible for them to be my favorite couple so far this year!

Quinn - dear Quinn, she lured me into a false sense of security with her continuing statements that she really is just a boring girl, when in fact she's the least boring girl possible in this book! Finding out huge secrets at the very end of Broken Halo (the 2nd book in the Montgomery series), Quinn is fighting against feelings of love and betrayal for the people that loved and protected her most throughout her lifetime.

Meeting Henry in what has to be one of the strangest, yet most romantic meet cutes I've read in a minute - He carried her away from her smoking car, what? Quinn is then quickly thrust into her 'hot neighbor's' private life as Henry is possibly the king of how many family emergencies can you have in one day?

Henry Ward III is the king of wallstreet, and maybe the prince of Texas, dragged back home to perform too many miracles at once and save his family! First, I absolutely loved his level of snark when it came to his father and dealing with the family business. I'm going to memorize some of his best lines, and maybe how many people he was able to fire in one week, and dream about that on the daily!!

Second, Henry's interaction with Nora and the rest of his family shows his compassionate yet foolish side so well, there were times I was giggling trying not to wake up Lacey at Nora's antics and Henry's desire to be the 'fun' uncle.

The Montgomery family series doesn't come without a serious level of drama, conflict, and romantic suspense however; I mean if the ending of Broken Halo two years ago is still enough to have me worried about who Henry might be in their meet-cute, that should give you a clue. Ms. Asher toes the line well in this book in dealing with two of the main subjects that can be hard hitting. She dealt with the subject matter honestly, delicately, while still telling an amazingly beautiful story with a fascinating, heart pounding ending.

The side characters in both the Montgomery family, finally getting to see some of Kipp's softer side, and watching Quinn's parents protect their daughter in the best way they know how, are often hilarious, sometimes sad, but most of the time leave you wondering if there could be a break off series from this one (YES, PLEASE!!)

Brynne Asher's Betrayed Love is a gorgeous, heartwrenching, suspenseful end to the Montgomery Family series and have made every bit of the wait worth it!!

So, when you read a Brynne Asher book you are guaranteed:
✔️ to be addicted…right away
✔️ a fantastic storyline
✔️ to get little sleep
✔️ to be a part of an on the edge of your seat read, which will leave you transfixed.
I know, I know, these are all my favorites too. On that note, welcome back to the Montgomery family sh*t show.

It’s not everyday you get crashed into by a hot billionaire…that happens to be your next door neighbor, I know sexy af. From the time they meet, these two became inseparable pretty fast, they were so in sync, and I just felt they got each other in a way that most people couldn’t. And let me just say, I really, really like their kind of distractions….just sayin. This was such a great storyline, both characters had so much going on, and so many what the moments, always a wild ride. Safe read, with so much intense chemistry. Her family group text were hilarious, Daddy Warbucks…laughed so hard, and so are his bestie employees he brought with him. Epilogue with multiple timelines, which I appreciated, and a hea. More please, always need more.

I am at a complete loss for words after I devoured Betrayed Love, by Brynne Asher. That’s not a first for me when it comes to BA’s novels, however, what is a first is that I can say now with absolute certainty, that Henry Ward x3, outshines even Cam and Asa. If you’ve read all of her books, then you know I do not say that lightly. But I am 100% sincere.

We met Quinn in Broken Halo, but I never could have imagined the depths of her story. Love and betrayal played a huge part in her upbringing, but the greatest of those was love. And she has so much of it to give.

Henry Ward III had his mother and his sister growing up, but even those relationships were complicated. He’s like an onion. One with so many layers that you can’t wait to discover what’s underneath each of them. And when you put him and Quinn together, it’s like an epic explosion of rightness.

I love any and all things Brynne Asher, but I think she broke the mold with Betrayed Love. HUGE STANDING OVATION🖤🖤

“Secrets have a way of embedding themselves in your soul and becoming the truth.”

Secrets. So many secrets. This book is chock full of them. Do you let those secrets define you? Do you let them rule your life? Always hiding the truth. Always worrying someone might find them out. Is that a way to live?

Well, Quinn has her chance at freedom. We pick up right after Broken Halo and Quinn is moving out. She is embracing her now found Montgomery family and is determined to live her life on her terms. Act her age. Maybe be a little daring for once. That is until she literally crashes into Henry Ward, III. Her new hot neighbor.

“I’m just me, trying to change the course of history one clusterfuck at a time.” - Henry Ward, III

Henry and Quinn. A Ward and a Montgomery. What could go wrong??? If you want to find out what could go wrong then read this book. It will break your heart, make you LOL and swoon all at the same time.

Just read it!

I’ve been processing my thoughts since I finished last night.

Betrayed Love was pure perfection; the story of Henry and Quinn was weaved with lies, surprises, secrets and most of all, distractions.

I fell in love with Henry from the first page and that love turned to adoration by the end. Quinn, we had a glimpse of her from Broken Halo; now, having her story, it all came together.

The depth that Ms. Asher went with not only Henry and Quinn’s background; but also the supporting characters that appear. I continue to be blown-away by the writing that Ms. Asher brings her readers. This is why she will always be a one-click author for me.

This right here speaks so many volumes of the story and the writing:

Brynne does it again - her ability to suck you in from the first page is evident with this book (and every book I have ever read of hers).

Quinn is set to pave her own way after she finds out about all the secrets she has been told her whole live. Then she crashes into Henry Ward III and life just changes for her. After he helps her out they have another chance encounter with Nora who is just the typical 4 year old on steroids and seeing them together melts her heart and brings them together in new and exciting way. Every day life for them is an adventure and each moments makes you love them more.

I didn't want the book to end and I promise I will be reading this again and again! Give it a try :)

I am in crazy love with Quinn and Henry's age gap billionaire romance. Betrayed Love by Brynne Asher has complex emotions in plenty. Soulful. Raw. Full of captivating feels and electrifying chemistry. I was so lost in the world of Montgomerys and Wards and I just didn't want it to be over.

Quinn Touissant just has come to know that her doctor parents have hidden something big from her. She is a part of the big and famous and rich Montgomery family in Texas. And while she was moving to a condo owned by her newfound brother, she has a literal car crash with Henry Ward III, one of the youngest CEO around and heir to Investrix. Their families are enemies because Henry's father is an evil person. Henry's life is spinning out of control. His addict and broken sister Faith, his innocent niece Nora, his father's bad reputation taking a toll on his company...And Quinn is a distraction he needs like she needs his presence. But they are on way to become soulmates.

Oh my gosh this story is 200% addictive. I am obsessed with all the characters and extra obsessed with Henry and Quinn. Henry is one delicious, drool worthy, swoon inducing book boyfriend. I am whole lot of crazy for his bossy alpha personality. He is so cold and ruthless and calculated in business. But he is so warm and protective and golden hearted for the people he loves. His love and affection for his niece= ovaries exploding gif. But this strong man has a vulnerable side too. He has fought his whole life against his father's reputation..to prove that he is nothing like his father. And he has so much burdens to carry. Quinn came into his life like an almost miracle. This fierce and sweet and smart woman is battling her own demons. She was lost and hurt and angry. But her heart is so big and beautiful. She embraced Henry and Nora with all the complications. She stood tall and strong by Henry's side. And Henry gave her a home in his heart too. Together they are a very very special couple. They made me swoon and laugh sometimes. Sometimes I wanted to hug them so tight and never let them go. Sometimes I broke down for them as their pain and grief and heartbreak was so palpable. The author did a brilliant job of bringing all the feels and scorching hot moments. The twists and turns will keep you glued to the pages. They have healed each other in some unique ways and their love story is really incredible.

I have not read the previous Montgomery books and it didn't stop me from enjoying this book at all but I want to read them all now because this is an epic family with some epic people.

Uncovering secrets will most likely have some kind of effect on someone’s life. For Quinn, the one she discovered may have completely changed her entire existence. Not only did it change who she really is but also may have served as a catalyst to change the life she really wanted to lead. And from the beginning of forging her new path, Henry crashes into her world and has a significant impact on her life.

Henry Ward III is also going through a lot of changes. Not only is he taking over as the CEO of his family’s business from his horrid father, but he also takes on as the caretaker of his adorable niece Nora, who happens to have a connection to Quinn.

Even with everything going on in their lives, Quinn and Henry develop a connection, a support system, and then to something so much stronger and deeper. The CEO Henry can be ruthless and has an agenda against his father, but the side that Quinn and Nora bring out of him is absolutely swoon-worthy. I loved the progression of their relationship, from the text messages to meals on the balcony, the trust felt to reveal their secrets, and then to act on all that chemistry and the steam!!

Now, this would not be a Brynne Asher book without much more to the story. And there definitely are, there are more secrets that are uncovered, betrayals with consequences, and all the family drama, the good, the bad, and the ugly. On top of all that, there are some nail-biting family get-togethers with past favorites, but wonderful to see again. Overall, Betrayal Love was another fantastic 5-star read and I highly recommend it.

Betrayed Love by Brynne Asher was an age gap billionaire romance that brought all the steam and just the right mixture of suspense and danger that captivated my attention from start to finish. Brynne also tackled some deep, emotional issues, and did it quite beautifully. Henry and Quinn's neighborly acquaintance turned hot, heavy, and oh so swoony as they worked to settle family drama and truly give in to their delicious desires. I loved Henry's ambitious confidence as he strived to take control as the new CEO of his father's company. Henry is quite the complex accomplished hero, with many challenges to overcome. However, who knew his sweet niece Nora would bring out so many swoony charismatic qualities which made him completely irresistible. Quinn is dealing with her own struggles from her past, and meeting Henry turned her world upside down in all the best ways. I loved her passionate, vulnerable, determined spirit! Henry and Quinn together have amazing, blazing hot chemistry that absolutely burned up the pages.

Overall, I loved this book! If you are a fan of age gap billionaire romance with a hot hunky CEO, a fierce loving heroine, overcoming family drama, an adorable little girl named Nora, boardroom meetings, balcony conversations, pizza dates, steamy first times, lots of ass grabbing (yes please), danger, suspense, serious issues, gripping edge of your seat action, and a HEA that will leave you all the happy sighs and swoons, then you will love Henry and Quinn's story. I always look forward to more from Brynne Asher.

Wow where do I begin with this review. I couldn’t wait for Quinn’s book after meeting her in Broken Halo. She has such a complicated past filled with secrets yet she has a big heart and so much capacity for love.
Henry Ward III is an enigma and he not only captures Quinn’s heart but he captured mine as well.
This story had all the elements you expect from a BA book, a hot alpha male, a smart independent heroine, intrigue, suspense, romance and laugh out loud moments. Add in Nora, a precocious 4 year old that will steal your heart and you have a recipe for another 5 star read from this author.

it was a story after my own heart, but i simply loved the first two books more. while i was riveted by the quasi single parent element and the Hs family drama, i also feel like it took the focus too much away from the romance. the H & h were explosive together. however, i got more of a “the help/nanny with benefits” vibe from their relationship instead of boyfriend/girlfriend. i still really liked the book though. it was very on brand for the author.

But you…” I grab her hand again and am grateful she doesn’t pull away from me. “I can deal with the rest of the world. When it comes to you, desperation is coursing through me to make you understand who I am, but more importantly, who I’m not. And, Quinn, more than anything right now, I need you to believe me—I am not my father.” (Him)

I love Brynne Asher. She tends to write books with insta-love and ultra possessive, dominant Hs and this book was no exception…I’m eternally here for it😌🤤🤍

Henry (H) is a young (31 yo), billionaire(?) CEO taking over his family’s company forcefully and out for revenge. Quinn (h) who we met in the previous book in this series is an extremely sheltered 22 year old who has been through a lot of family drama and some traumatic experiences very recently (see book 2), but at the same time hasn’t experienced much of life at all due to her over protective parents. Also I was expecting it at all from the blurb, but this book surprised me with a quasi single parent plot line and if you know me you know I love that trope and cute kids so Nora, Henry’s 4 year old niece, was a welcome and adorable addition to this book.

Like always there was lots of family drama and it wouldn’t be a Brynne Asher book without someone trying to kill the heroine so there was that too, but all around entertaining and fun. This came out the day before I left the country for three weeks so this release totally slipped my mind, but it made for a great vacation read😌

Also if you’re like me and couldn’t quite remember all the details of Quinn’s backstory from the previous book *lots of spoilers for book 2 obviously*: she’s Trig’s (H book 2) half-sister, they share the same dad and her mom was Silvie Montgomery, a drug addict who was murdered and Silvie was Kipp Montgomery’s sister so Jensen (h book 1) and Ellie (h book 2) are Quinn’s cousins. Ellie is also her boss at the dance studio and Quinn lied to get the job so she could get close to Ellie because she suspected they were related after finding evidence in Faye Barrett’s things (Trig’s mom, Quinn’s nanny since childhood) after she passed away. Quinn’s parents (the doctors) technically kidnapped her with the help of Faye who wanted to save her from her biological dad. Also, at the end of book two her bio dad kidnaps her and Ellie, then Trig shoots and kills him before he can kill them…😵‍💫 yeah that back story is a lot… I re-read the end of book 2 to get up to speed, but it would’ve been nice to get a cheat sheet haha so here’s mine.
ALSO, we’ve never met Henry before. The whole ‘the Wards and Montgomerys are enemies’ plot line is not something that carried over from before it was invented in this book so you’re not missing any details there.

Brynne Asher has a way of weaving her characters through their stories by keeping them interesting and you engaged till the very last word!! Whether they are villains or heroes, I feel connected to the characters. Betrayed Love has a great mix of romance, intrigue, humor, and empathy.

I loved Henry, Quinn, and Henry’s precocious four year old niece Nora who Henry is raising because his sister is a drug addict, what happened to her as a child to bring her to her sad existence is devastating and heartbreaking, the way BA weaves her story with such compassion breaks your heart.

91F74EA2-7083-4926-84FB-882B96952A94

It’s awesome to see the whole Montgomery Clan wrapped up in Quinn life therefore Henry and little Nora’s. It’s a bumpy road to Quinn’s HEA for certain. Henry has his own issues that he’ll need to overcome including helping his sister on the road to recovery and seeking vengeance on the man who hurt her and turned her into the sad addicted women she is today. I highly recommend if you want to get swept up and disappear into a story.

Holy wow. Quinn and Henry definitely and strong forces working against them. From a banger of a first meeting to balcony pizza to distraction providing to realizing that “distraction” isn’t the word for what they’re building, I was hooked from the beginning. Sure, once Henry realized who Quinn was, he could’ve bolted. She gave him the okay to do so. But he was already in deep. And he made a promise. And one thing Henry was serious about was keeping his word. And Quinn. So maybe two things. And once Quinn realized just who Henry was, it was too late. Because Henry the Public Henry and Henry the Quinn’s Henry were two sides of the same coin that sometimes blurred into one. But that worked for these two in a big way.

Add in danger I wasn’t expecting, some very serious and deep issues, the Montgomery family pairing with unexpected allies to bring a few corrupt beings down, and I couldn’t put this down. I adored Henry and his heart. I loved Quinn and her capacity for love. And oh, how I loved the takedowns that came with hanging out around these folks. Trust me, this story has everything you’ve come to expect from this author and more. Get comfy because you won’t want to move once you dive into all that is Henry and Quinn!

Life is all about little connections. One moment you are dealing with the fallout from discovering your parents actually kidnapped you as an infant and the next you are being pulled out of your wrecked car by a handsome stranger. Said stranger is also your new neighbor. Henry had never wanted to come back to live in Texas. A few pleasant memories weren't enough to make up for growing up under his father's terrible reputation. But as fate would have it, he is back to stay and very attracted to his new neighbor. Henry and Quinn's relationship goes from 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds when he is unexpectedly tasked with caring for his four year old niece. Quinn immediately volunteers to help and suddenly they are a family of three and it feels so right. I fell completely and effortlessly in love with Henry and Quinn. The connection between them is undeniable and they are both all in from the start. Things get crazy complicated but what doesn't falter is their relationship. They are each other's rock, their safe harbor and it was glorious! I didn't want to put it down for a moment, 10 stars for Quinn and Henry!

Secrets, lies, unimaginable pain and suffering, web of deceit, underhanded boardroom deals and betrayal. Combined with love, swoon, steam and humor - and we are gifted with an extraordinary tale of forbidden love!
I was immersed in the story from page one, and could not put the book down until I finished reading it in one afternoon. It was simply unputdownable.
Henry and Quinn meet as new residents and neighbors in a building they both just moved into, and become instant friends. Unbeknownst to them that their intricate and intertwined family past is definitely not conducive to them having a relationship of any kind.
Betrayed love has a fantastic, fast flowing story line, incredibly well developed complex characters and just the right amount of intrigue, romance, adorable pre-school niece, and cameos by beloved characters we’ve grown to love in previous books by this author.
To all romantic suspense and thriller enthusiasts - I could not recommend Betrayed love more!! Go get it NOW!

Quinn is still trying to become accustomed to her new family. The Montgomery’s are a loud and tight knit loving bunch and not at all what she is used to.

“I’m a hugger,” Hattie squeals before grabbing my mom by the biceps and holding her at arm’s length. “We’re all huggers!”

Henry did the last thing he never wanted to do go back to Texas. Now he’s back and the youngest CEO in the country is about to make lots of waves.

“You are not your father. You’re a good man. Every day that goes by, I can’t imagine a moment that I’m not right here, in your arms.”

Ms Asher never fails to write and outstanding story that you can not put down. Her characters are funny, sexy and strong.

There are lots off secrets revealed. A wonderful story about overcoming the past and starting new lives.

I’m sad to see this series end. I fell in love with this family and all there quirks. You never know maybe there will be a second generation that’s just has to have there story told.

Brynne can not write a bad book. This book is perfection. When she sent the ARCs out, I started devouring immediately. From page one, I was hooked. She has a way to throw suspense and thrill in everything she writes. It always so good.

Quinn, finding her way after finding out all the secrets, is dead set on living her life on her terms. Henry is changes everything. Henry III is the onion you don’t want to stop unpeeling. Him with little Nora was so swoon worthy. I’d fall in love with the man after watching that. Quinn was the last missing piece to everything in Henry’s life and Henry was the missing piece in Quinn’s. I was smiling throughout the entire book.

I loved every minute of this book.

It gets better and better every time I pick up a new Brynne Asher book. I absolutely am OBSESSED with Henry III. Like he quickly scaled the Brynne Asher alphas to one of the top spots. Henry is the perfect hero. Alpha, smart, protective, loving, and over the top. Quinn is perfect. She’s so tough but has that soft sweetness about her that seems so real. The two of them together is perfection. Then you add in Nora——- sigh—- perfection. The whole story was captivating and all consuming from beginning to end. Definitely adding to my re-read list. If you are looking for the perfect summer book—
This is it.
