Jesse McDermitt Caribbean Adventure #22

All Ahead Full: A Jesse McDermitt Novel

Rate this book
Jesse McDermitt discovers an environmental nightmare of deception and greed taking place in Central America. A cartel is branching into smuggling things other than drugs. And they’re doing it quite effectively.

The Honduran rain forests and its inhabitants are at peril. The cartel needs hidden places to grow coca, used in the manufacture of cocaine. The exotic and endangered hardwood trees are cut and sold on the black market, along with any creature found dwelling deep in the humid jungle.

Environmental activists in the area who try to intercede are swiftly dealt with in the manner the cartel deals with anyone who stands between them and the almighty dollar—with a sharp machete.

Having so many moving parts and numerous smuggling routes, can Jesse and the crew of Ambrosia, on a dive vacation in the Bay Islands of Honduras, be able to make a difference? Or will the beautiful reef surrounding the island of Utila be Ambrosia’s grave?

A new direction

When I first encountered Stinnett's Jesse McDermott in the first book, he was newly retired from active duty as a Marine. He made his way to the Florida Keys and began living as a civilian. Over the course of twenty plus books, he married, lost his wife, gained friends, reunited with his daughters, worked for Homeland Security, killed a few bad guys, saved a bunch of people, married again and, most recently , moved.out of his island life and into a 199 foot yacht cum research vessel.

There's an ongoing cast of characters - the result of Stinnett's skill at world building. I don't think you need to know all the backstory from all the previous books, but I am happy to say I've followed all of them and this one is whole and complete and also sets the stage for the next book to.come. I look forward to it!

Another EXCELLENT book

ALL AHEAD FULL to me is completely different from Wayne's other books. Not as much time on the boat, but his way of writing still makes you feel like you are standing in the middle of the story.

My only problem with this series is I read faster then Wayne writes. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND all of Wayne's series.

Masterful Continuation of the Story

Although somewhat weak on action and the trek through the Rainforest a bit tedious a wonderful storyline and continuing character development! The direction the series is projectly going gives me great hope for many more books in both these series and a long life for these magnificent characters! I can't emphasize enough how much I look forward to each ongoing chapter and book. Thank you Mr. Stinnett.

Adventure has one name...Jesse McDermitt!

Wayne Stinnett is always great but this is his absolute best! Life is never boring and certainly not for Jesse or anyone remotely near him. He knows what is right and he makes it happen. We need more hope in this world and he gives it to us. Start at the first book and don't stop until v you get to the end of this one!

Just doesn’t disappoint.

A fast but detailed pace throughout the pages of this book. A smooth transition from the previous in the series to this one which carried on with the McDermitt saga. Now, I have to wait for the next one. Hurry up, Wayne!

I really enjoyed this book by Wayne Stinnett. In my opinion it was the best he's written in the Jesse McDermitt series. It is a 'can't stop reading" book that moves fast and the researched details that Wayne has included in the story are really accurate. One of the features I especially liked was the re-appearance of several of the characters from way back in the "Fallen" and "Rising" series of Jesse McDermitt's adventures. I was really missing those characters in the stories as time marched on in Jesse's new life with Jack Armstrong's organization. There was even a thought in Jesse's mind of going home to his island in the Content Keys in Florida. I wouldn't mind that at all so that old characters could be brought back to the pages. But new adventures await him in Armstrong's organization now.
Get this book and hold on for the surprises.
I look forward to the next book "Man Overboard".

Supposed to be a "Caribbean Adventure" but only if you enjoy reading about the lives of the crew aboard ship and the details of the ship. One quick journey into the rain forest to wipe out a drug cartel and that's the end of the action took maybe one chapter. Really disappointed in McDermitt making up stories about the people around him. He's lost for ideas about adventure. Not nearly as good as the first books in which there were real adventures. It's been like this for the past few books. This one will be my last one. That's why it took me a month to finish this one. I had other books going at the same time, and only went back to this one when there was nothing else to read.

Jesse in The Jungle

Awesome read. I loved it .As usual, I always try to savor each word this author writes, but always find myself lost in his magnificent writing, the descriptive surroundings lure me into reading one more page which turns into just one more chapter. The scenes and characters come alive and draw me into the pages until the end. Then the sadness sets in and I am once again waiting for Wayne Stinnett's next incredible book.

Love him but this store lacked focus to detail

I love his series can not wait to read them but his last two books have been disappointing. He could have done so much more detail with several scenes in the book. It felt like he jumped or rushed the ending of a scene. He use to put detail into. The last part of the book felt like filler because he has to have a book over 200 pages. If things do not change I think I will stop reading him.

Another Great Story

I have read all the Jesse books. Loved them all even when Jesse went off track. Through all the times of sadness, there was continued growth and as his life went up, so did his maturity and strength. This new segment of marrying, adopting a young son and working for Jack Armstrong captaining Ambosia and soon Phoenix is opening up new adventures. Can't wait for the next Jesse.

So interestin

I loved the storyline and always have great love for Jesse Savannah and crew. Exciting reading how for McDermott it seems he is in the right place to handle the bad guys or in this the bad criminal woman. Hard to put Kindle down for doing some living. Retired and former Marines will enjoy as well as the rest of who love a good mystery with lots of action and suspense.

Always fun

Just picked this one up after taking a break from the series. It's easy to get into the characters and flow of the story. Fast paced and focusing on some important topics Jesse and his crew take matters in their own hands and we all know how this ends.
If you have not started this series pick up book 1 and get started if you like sailing, Florida Keys, tropical islands and lots of action with detailed military knowledge.

Great read

I love reading the Jesse McDermott stories. You feel like you're really there with him. The descriptions of people and places just puts you in the middle of the story. I can't wait for the next book to begin. Kudos for a great read. Keep up the good work, Wayne Stinnett. Looking forward to the next book.

All Ahead Full is another great story about Jesse and friends coming to help out in a big way where people are being exploited.
