The book has very brief, 1 and 2 page synopses of remarkable persons of African-American descent from Los Angeles, some with photos.
This book is a treasure-trove of remarkable African-American people from all walks of life who grew up in or lived in South LA and I am inspired by the dedication of the author to compiling this broad and inspiring group of people. BUT!!!! These synopses are too brief, lacking in detail. I hope a more complete version follows, some entries are only a couple of sentences with less information than one would find in Wikipedia. So this makes a great gift for lovers of LA History
