Primero que nada tengo que agradecer a los autores por haber confiado en mí y haberme enviado el libro para que lo leyera. ¡Muchísimas gracias!
Me devoré este libro en nada, dos o tres días.
Es una novela de fantasía épica, con tintes oscuros y mucha aventura. Es una mezcla entre The Witcher, Joe Abercrombie y El señor de los anillos.
Desde el principio nos hundimos en un mundo que está en conflicto. Los orcos atacan una aldea. Al principio no sabemos por qué, pero a las pocas páginas nos damos cuenta de que están buscando un niño. Un pequeño que nació de una mujer que no tuvo relaciones sexuales y a tan solo tres meses de ser gestado. Tiene una apariencia diferente a los demás y es porque no es humano: es un dragón. Y no solo eso, sino que es parte de una profecía que puede destruir el mundo. Los orcos y la Hermandad de la Llama Negra lo quieren con ese motivo. Sin embargo, hay otras personas que buscarán protegerlo y mantenerlo a salvo para llevarlo por el camino del bien y tenerlo de aliado cuando el gran choque suceda.
En este momento entra Ghelian, nuestro protagonista y Paladín, y sus amigos que lo acompañarán en esta aventura: tiene que llevar al niño al norte para ponerlo a salvo.
A lo largo del camino se cruzarán con infinitas pruebas, desafíos y problemas que deberán sortear para llegar a su destino. Como también iremos conociendo el mundo en el que se desarrolla la historia, el trasfondo de lo que sucede y otros detalles interesantes.
El libro es muy llevadero. La acción no se detiene nunca, no flaquea y no se vuelve aburrido. A pesar de ser el primero de una saga (o una trilogía, no sé bien jajja) no es introductorio. Sí, introduce un mundo y una trama mucho más grande, pero no lo hace de manera pesada o lenta. Nos lleva directo a la acción y no nos da un momento de descanso.
Tengo que avisar que tiene descripciones muy gráficas y explícitas de violencia, muerte y sangre. A veces eran tan explícitas que me sentía un poco incómoda, pero por suerte fueron unas pocas palabras y luego no se volvía a hacer mención de eso.
Lo único que me resonó un poco en la historia fueron los diálogos. A veces los sentía un poco forzados, principalmente en las partes donde los personajes se cuentan historias del mundo entre sí. Esto era, principalmente, para que el lector las conociera. Pero quedaba extraño teniendo en cuenta que muchas de esas historias ya eran conocidas por los personajes, entonces era raro que se las contaran entre sí y las escucharan con tanta sorpresa.
Los personajes fueron muy interesantes, pudimos conocer mucho de ellos en este primer libro, aunque el foco estaba puesto en otro lado. Había algunas actitudes de ellos que se repetían varias veces al punto de volverse un poco caricaturescas. Espero poder ver mucho más desarrollo de ellos y conocerlos mejor en los siguientes libros. Sus objetivos y convicciones son bastante claros.
En general, más allá de lo que sucede, la historia nos presenta un choque entre lo bueno y lo malo. Lo oscuro y lo luminoso. Tenemos a un Paladín justo, bondadoso, altruista que solo busca hacer el bien bajo los medios justos. Por otro lado, tenemos a su compañera, parte de una orden que hace justicia por mano propia para "limpiar" el mal del mundo y equilibrar la balanza. Y, por el otro, tenemos a los orcos y a la Hermandad de la Llama Negra que son los malos de la historia. Me gustaría poder ver cada uno de estos puntos en profundidad y que se mezclaran entre sí. Es una opinión muy propia y personal, pero considero que en la vida nada es exactamente blanco-negro-intermedio. Somos una combinación de todas en diferentes y determinados momentos y estaría bueno conocer lo bueno, lo malo y lo gris de cada punto de vista del libro.
Es una historia muy interesante, que abre muchos caminos a más cosas y espero con ansias poder leer la continuación y saber qué pasa no solo con los personajes sino también con el resto del mundo.

I started talking to the authors of this book, and I couldn't stop. You have already been told that when I finished writing the review of your wonderful book I answer. My intention today is to write two book reviews before going to bed, although tomorrow I wake up at 8:00. It is planned to write this review, and "Utopia" by Thomas More https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... The problem is that this ends up degenerating into a grayish tone closer to black, than to white.
The first question I asked the authors of this wonderful book was a geographical question. A group of heterogeneous characters (as is usual in this genre) a Paladin of the Order of Kings named Ghelian de Buil, an elf named Belgryn, a warrior named Galfrid, and a guide with a dark past named Anthros who seeks redemption must lead a son of Dragon named according to the Prophecies Narbunduur, although it will be called Drako to a city of icy climate called Trobariath. Specifically an elven wizard former companion of Ghelian, Galfrid, and Belgryn (called Volrath, who is the elf). The child who has an immaculate (and supernatural) birth must not fall into the hands of the brotherhood of the black flame, which intends to sacrifice him to open a portal to hell. Therefore, Drako must not fall into the hands of a triple entente of orcs (commanded by Djarak), knights in the service of an antipaladin named Paradax (what in Dungeons and Dragons would be a Black Guard, or a Warrior of Chaos in the Hero Quest https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... the board game has been reissued in Spain), and the members of the black flame who go in partnership. It wasn't the first question I asked you, but I'm going to put it first. Knowing that a character is going to be evil, is it lawful to kill him before he grows up? It is a moral dilemma that I pose to the authors. If you had the possibility of killing Adolf Hitler, or a genocidal of that kind, or the antichrist? As for example the novel by Dean R. This is my answer first you don't know in the end who is going to be a dictator, a genocidal, or the antichrist. Neither pagans nor Christians do so because of the Natural Law of which C.S. Priam (King of Troy) did not kill Paris, and that was to be the cause of the destruction of Troy. Although King Arthur tried to kill him before in the end he could not kill Mordred and that he entrusted it to Sir. You cannot fall into determinism, because you do not know what is going to happen, and you cannot eliminate free will. O'Brien, or my friend @jorgesaezcriado https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... have not raised it, because even if you knew one hundred percent who the antichrist is, you can not end his life, because you have to respect the free will of the person, otherwise he will be someone else. That is why the life of Narbunduur/Drako is important, because it is important that he can choose his destiny (avoiding Pelagianism, because other powers intervene apart from personal will). Besides, it's not that he's going to choose to be bad for pleasure. In fact, I don't think he feels like being sacrificed. There will be some character who tries to kill him. Others like Ertai (this character will bring controversy I feel a lot of affection for the druids in fact my character married a druid, although there are also bad druids as shown by the Baldurs Gates or the Icewind Dale 2) will want to use it for their purposes. The other question I posed to the authors was why didn't they go down the Shuralan River to the Watchtower? Saving much of the trip, and although the story said it was because of the cold (one of the authors told me that the fact of the cold was inspired by an anecdote from his past). In fact, the characters must reach the frozen city of Trobariath, and must face the cold, being the only way to pass through the mines of Mangur (this passage will remind you of a very famous work I do not tell you which. The combat with the anthropophagous Osgor is fantastic https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6... ).
One of the characteristics of the genre is that the characters do not speak as if they were kings, princes, or sons of the bourgeoisie (nor is it seen as "Ivanhoe https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6..." where despite expressing themselves differently the characters of high extraction, and low use a different language, but with correction). Apart from the physical violence the attack on the people of the beginning carried out by Djarak and his men. These orcs are a fierce mix of the Uruk Hais, and the orcs of the World of Warcraft horde https://www.goodreads.com/genres/worl.... Apart from that, the different estates are noticeable, Ghelian does not speak the same as Anthros (the guide), or Galfrido (the latter will have no qualms about going to the brothel, and getting drunk). Despite his loyalty, and his appreciation for Ghelian.
At first the story revolves around Ghelian, but as the novel progresses, or so it seemed to me every time Anthros (or rather Cedric Gunthelaar) begins to take more prominence. The flashbacks of the characters are very good (especially those of Anthros in Elboria, and working for the wolf), and when the characters talk about their exploits in Darlan's world. I would advise authors if their saga is successful to write a prequel telling in the form of short stories the past of their characters in the style of Andrzej Sapkowski's "Last Wish" https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4... or as in the Dragonlance saga. There are no evil characters in the group (at the moment). Ghelian is more honorable, and refuses to employ the drastic methods of Anthros (such as torture), which he will employ with the merchant, or with Devan Oppengraff. Sometimes Ghelian will be right, and sometimes Anthros. One of the few things, which I did not like, and I told the authors was the death of one of the characters I would not have killed. They rightly told me that they don't take responsibility for the actions of their characters, and that a Grimdark world can go through the worst, and they're right about that. They cannot be asked to comply with Evelyn Waugh's rule https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... , which Waugh himself did not comply. Which is not to kill the characters. Of course, I prefer Waugh's rule a thousand times over the George R.R. Martin rule that I have criticized. Killing for the pleasure of doing it, as if it were a horror movie in which people take so much tirria to the characters, that a part of your subconscious is predisposed to take the side of the monster, or the genocidal, when it kills the character in the bloodiest way possible. The moments, which I enjoyed the most were undoubtedly the ends of the first part (the fights with Baba Yaga. This character fascinated me so much that I asked the authors if anyone was familiar with Slavic mythology, and it was a success what they decided to do with this monster of mythology. They confessed to me that the Japanese Janenba also influenced them a lot, and I am a lover of Japanese literature, also of the country). I was also fascinated by the nightmarish world of Hal Dor. When one of the characters, who has suffered a curse must go through a nightmare world like the Freddie Kruger movies with a touch of , Clark Ashton Smith https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... ,or H.P. Lovecraft https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... (who I'm a fan of is Robert E. Howard.) In fact, it seemed to come out of Cthulhu https://www.goodreads.com/genres/cthu... (that world is terrifying with that spider that will emulate the wolf Fenryr, in fact this world is more terrifying, than the Norse Viking world. As for religion with a cross symbol I believe in one of them). Baba Yaga reminded me of the Early Access Naga from Baldurs Gates III https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7..., which I witnessed played by my friend @turbiales whose craps/recommend videos. The different races (the dwarves, gnomes, and mediums have been saved for later which is a success), and their pantheon are very good, and I think they have left some surprises for the following books. The last part I became so conspiratorial that I thought this was going to be like Baldurs Gates Throne of Bhaal https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... with betrayals everywhere. I even imagined it worse, that in the novel (about the Tower of Magic I saw something they were so confident with the Tower of Magic, that I thought of some of the characters. Volrath employs a magic similar to blood magic, which I saw in Dragon Age, https://www.goodreads.com/genres/drag... that in that game was frowned upon). I knew there could be several betrayals. The truth is that there are not as many as I suspected. I saw clearly the fifth columnists, but looking to the future this can be very interesting. The battles are very good. The end, and this surprises in a first book (because the devastating ending is usually left for a second book). I thought of four endings. The glorious ending (which does not happen), good ending, although some of the characters die, the third ending is that the bad guys achieve their purposes, but some of their leaders die (like Paradax, or Djarak) or near-total disaster. I don't know what's worse, if the bad guys in the style of the Queen's advisor. Or Queen Audarin who has greater suicidal tendencies than Henry Fonda at Fort Apache. Some characters look like they're dead, but just like the Fezzik in "The Princess Bride" https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... I doubt they are dead. I will follow with interest the evolution of some characters like Volrath (and why he is so elusive on the subject of love). Or the mysterious Paladin Mandor Mikrilev. It is possible that to reach the final goal many sacrifices must be made. I empathized with the two main characters. I told the authors about my presence in Eternam and told them that my character Klai la Spada was a mixture of Ghelian, and Anthros with a terrible past behind him. I also thought about novelizing it, but I was inspired by several video games, and it could have been plagiarism, I fought with the person I wanted to write it with, and I've always been very lazy. But summing up I think this saga is a great start. Apart from being reluctant to Grimdark, and some idiomatic turns, the Spanish of Spain is not the same as that of Latin America (which shows the great richness of this language). There are some typos that escaped them. But I think it's a great book, and they should continue it. But in my next evaluation I will be tougher. But my final grade is (5/5). My passion for the fantasy genre greatly influenced. Last year there were almost no books of this genre ignoring "Trapped in Eyrinn" by my friend @jorgesaezcriado https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6... we will see if they manage to sneak into my top ten /. The authors know, because I have let them know, that they can count on me for whatever they want.

The first question I asked the authors of this wonderful book was a geographical question. A group of heterogeneous characters (as is usual in this genre) a Paladin of the Order of Kings named Ghelian de Buil, an elf named Belgryn, a warrior named Galfrid, and a guide with a dark past named Anthros who seeks redemption must lead a son of Dragon named according to the Prophecies Narbunduur, although it will be called Drako to a city of icy climate called Trobariath. Specifically an elven wizard former companion of Ghelian, Galfrid, and Belgryn (called Volrath, who is the elf). The child who has an immaculate (and supernatural) birth must not fall into the hands of the brotherhood of the black flame, which intends to sacrifice him to open a portal to hell. Therefore, Drako must not fall into the hands of a triple entente of orcs (commanded by Djarak), knights in the service of an antipaladin named Paradax (what in Dungeons and Dragons would be a Black Guard, or a Warrior of Chaos in the Hero Quest https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... the board game has been reissued in Spain), and the members of the black flame who go in partnership. That is why the life of Narbunduur/Drako is important, because it is important that he can choose his destiny (avoiding Pelagianism, because other powers intervene apart from personal will). One of the characteristics of the genre is that the characters do not speak as if they were kings, princes, or sons of the bourgeoisie (nor is it seen as "Ivanhoe https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6..." where despite expressing themselves differently the characters of high extraction, and low use a different language, but with correction). Apart from the physical violence the attack on the people of the beginning carried out by Djarak and his men. These orcs are a fierce mix of the Uruk Hais, and the orcs of the World of Warcraft horde https://www.goodreads.com/genres/worl.... Apart from that, the different estates are noticeable, Ghelian does not speak the same as Anthros (the guide), or Galfrido (the latter will have no qualms about going to the brothel, and getting drunk). Despite his loyalty, and his appreciation for Ghelian.
At first the story revolves around Ghelian, but as the novel progresses, or so it seemed to me every time Anthros (or rather Cedric Gunthelaar) begins to take more prominence. The flashbacks of the characters are very good (especially those of Anthros in Elboria, and working for the wolf), and when the characters talk about their exploits in Darlan's world. I would advise authors if their saga is successful to write a prequel telling in the form of short stories the past of their characters in the style of Andrzej Sapkowski's "Last Wish" https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4... or as in the Dragonlance saga. There are no evil characters in the group (at the moment). Ghelian is more honorable, and refuses to employ the drastic methods of Anthros (such as torture), which he will employ with the merchant, or with Devan Oppengraff. Sometimes Ghelian will be right, and sometimes Anthros. One of the few things, which I did not like, and I told the authors was the death of one of the characters I would not have killed. They rightly told me that they don't take responsibility for the actions of their characters, and that a Grimdark world can go through the worst, and they're right about that. They cannot be asked to comply with Evelyn Waugh's rule https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... , which Waugh himself did not comply. Which is not to kill the characters. Of course, I prefer Waugh's rule a thousand times over the George R.R. Martin rule that I have criticized. Killing for the pleasure of doing it, as if it were a horror movie in which people take so much tirria to the characters, that a part of your subconscious is predisposed to take the side of the monster, or the genocidal, when it kills the character in the bloodiest way possible. The moments, which I enjoyed the most were undoubtedly the ends of the first part (the fights with Baba Yaga. This character fascinated me so much that I asked the authors if anyone was familiar with Slavic mythology, and it was a success what they decided to do with this monster of mythology. They confessed to me that the Japanese Janenba also influenced them a lot, and I am a lover of Japanese literature, also of the country). I was also fascinated by the nightmarish world of Hal Dor. When one of the characters, who has suffered a curse must go through a nightmare world like the Freddie Kruger movies with a touch of , Clark Ashton Smith https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... ,or H.P. Lovecraft https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... (who I'm a fan of is Robert E. Howard.) In fact, it seemed to come out of Cthulhu https://www.goodreads.com/genres/cthu... (that world is terrifying with that spider that will emulate the wolf Fenryr, in fact this world is more terrifying, than the Norse Viking world. As for religion with a cross symbol I believe in one of them). Baba Yaga reminded me of the Early Access Naga from Baldurs Gates III https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7..., which I witnessed played by my friend @turbiales whose craps/recommend videos. The different races (the dwarves, gnomes, and mediums have been saved for later which is a success), and their pantheon are very good, and I think they have left some surprises for the following books. The last part I became so conspiratorial that I thought this was going to be like Baldurs Gates Throne of Bhaal https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... with betrayals everywhere. I even imagined it worse, that in the novel (about the Tower of Magic I saw something they were so confident with the Tower of Magic, that I thought of some of the characters. Volrath employs a magic similar to blood magic, which I saw in Dragon Age, https://www.goodreads.com/genres/drag... that in that game was frowned upon). I knew there could be several betrayals. The truth is that there are not as many as I suspected. I saw clearly the fifth columnists, but looking to the future this can be very interesting. The battles are very good. The end, and this surprises in a first book (because the devastating ending is usually left for a second book). I thought of four endings. The glorious ending (which does not happen), good ending, although some of the characters die, the third ending is that the bad guys achieve their purposes, but some of their leaders die (like Paradax, or Djarak) or near-total disaster. I don't know what's worse, if the bad guys in the style of the Queen's advisor. Or Queen Audarin who has greater suicidal tendencies than Henry Fonda at Fort Apache. Some characters look like they're dead, but just like the Fezzik in "The Princess Bride" https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... I doubt they are dead. I will follow with interest the evolution of some characters like Volrath (and why he is so elusive on the subject of love). Or the mysterious Paladin Mandor Mikrilev. It is possible that to reach the final goal many sacrifices must be made. I empathized with the two main characters. I told the authors about my presence in Eternam and told them that my character Klai la Spada was a mixture of Ghelian, and Anthros with a terrible past behind him. I also thought about novelizing it, but I was inspired by several video games, and it could have been plagiarism, I fought with the person I wanted to write it with, and I've always been very lazy. But summing up I think this saga is a great start. Apart from being reluctant to Grimdark, and some idiomatic turns, the Spanish of Spain is not the same as that of Latin America (which shows the great richness of this language). There are some typos that escaped them. But I think it's a great book, and they should continue it. But in my next evaluation I will be tougher. But my final grade is (5/5). My passion for the fantasy genre greatly influenced. Last year there were almost no books of this genre ignoring "Trapped in Eyrinn" by my friend @jorgesaezcriado https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6... we will see if they manage to sneak into my top ten /. Fue una lectura muy amena y me hizo recordar a un libro que amo (la sombra del zorro) y una película que me gusta (Warcraft). Debo reconocer que lo leí en una mala racha pues andaba muy disperso en la lectura y hubo momentos en los que al tardar en leer y al retomarlo me perdía un poco de lo que leía a continuación.
Aunque hubo también momentos que se me hacía eterno, por algo que llegue a considerar innecesarios, valió la pena todo.
Tiene esa temática fantástica de guerra que a muchos les gusta así que lo disfrutaran si aman la guerra, orcos, dragones, elfos, magia oscura, magia, etc.

Una fantasía oscura como pocas. Un universo impresionante, detalladamente creado desde lo histórico, pasando por matices culturales, políticos y socioeconómicos, hasta impactantes escenarios geográficos. Personajes están ampliamente desarrollados y cuidadosamente seleccionados para esta trama, que desde su inicio te atrapa sin dejarte ir. Si eres fan de historias donde cada detalle tiene una explicación, donde cada batalla es épica y descrita con alto nivel de detalle, cuyos personajes no son representantes del bien o del mal, sino que todo se mezcla según su contexto, entonces Paladín: El Destino del Dragón es para ti.
Magia, criaturas míticas, personajes legendarios, antagonistas poderosos, romances y desencuentros. Tiene de todo, muy ordenadamente planteado.
Muy recomendable a toda la comunidad!

Una mujer queda embarazada sin tener relaciones sexuales y en tres meses da a luz a un dragón que es buscado por orcos que atacan la aldea buscándolo y también por la "Hermandad de la Llama Negra" ya que es parte de una profecía que puede destruir al mundo, que loco, ¿No?
Con esa primicia entramos en "Paladín", un libro de fantasía épica, repleto de aventura y con una pisca de fantasía oscura, yo, que soy una persona a la que la fantasía no le gusta, termine muy atrapada con este libro.
Ghelian, nuestro caballero y protagonista, va a ser el encargado de llevar a este mini Dragón para ponerlo a salvo, el, junto a Paladin y un grupo increible de amigos van a tener que llevar esta mision a cabo, enfrentandose a retos que pondran a prueba absolutamente todo.
Lo primero que quiero resaltar es la portada, que, a mi parecer, es la definición perfecta de "simple pero bonito", fue lo primero que me llamó la atención del libro; lo segundo que quiero resaltar es el mapa, lo ame, es precioso y fue totalmente diseñado por los autores, lo cual le suma mil puntos para mi; lo tercero, ame los detalles, fueron datos que realmente te atrapaban y estaban narrados de una forma en la que no te dejaba despegar los ojos de las páginas.
Usualmente en los libros de fantasía las peleas y enfrentamientos se vuelven repetitivos y terminan aburriendo, pero en este libro no pasó, quedé totalmente enganchada con cada una de las cosas que pasaban en el libro, la lectura es bastante ligera y los autores tienen una pluma muy buena.
Los personajes de este libro fueron algo que me dejó en espera, me gustaría ver más desarrollo en ellos en los próximos libros.
Realmente, no quiero decir mucho ya que quiero que todo el mundo lea el libro y para eso, necesitan el menor de los detalles posibles

Paladín El destino del dragón

Tenemos un libro de fantasía más bien "rolera". Los autores lo denominan como grimdark o darkfantasy; según mí conocimiento de los subgéneros, le falta la manifestación de personajes grises, un mundo hostil o agobiante y quizá líneas morbosas o sanguinarias explícitas para caer en ellos.
Recorremos la historia de un caballero, de corazón noble y acompañantes en donde habrá traiciones, peleas y conflicto de intereses aunados en un pequeño ser, un bebé que está destinado a convertirse en un dragón.
Algo que se puede, o no, agradecer es que no es un libro introductorio pese a ser el primer volumen. Los autores cuentan lo necesario para generar enganche y dejan infinidad de cuestiones solo mencionadas que se irán resolviendo o comentando en entregas posteriores.
Ya tenemos el mundo armado con estirpe de caballeros, razas que se extinguieron, órdenes de caballeros que igual están extintas, otras que son nombradas y transfondos de personajes que solo aparecen tímidamente para que el lector vaya interiorizandose con todo al ir adentrandose en todo lo que enmarcará la tetralogía y las historias dentro del mundo de Paladín.
En conceptos, quizá con la trama más desarrollada en posteriores libros de jugo para una enriquecida historia, tal vez más salvaje y oscura que en este comienzo. No es desalentador.
Podemos hablar de los autores, están inmersos en el proyecto y muestran que le están dando mimo a la creación; en una charla con ellos me comentaron que la planificación de la obra es ir dando de a poco al lector la historia y no entregar todo en bandeja. Quizá sea arriesgado aunque le da un toque personal a la historia.
Si destripo un poco más los sucesos, hay razas de elfos, ogros, humanos en los que hay tención, más que nada de parte de cierto grupo de ogros hacía los otros dos.
La ambición es hacerse con el bebé especial en parte de unos para llevar a cabo un rito, protegerlo y criarlo para que ayude a las razas "del bien" por el otro.
El libro es disfrutable y quizá si los autores saben mover los hilos cuando todo esté horneado sea una buena saga nacida en el hablahispana para dejar de ser acaparada la temática fantástica por los anglosajones.

El último Caballero del Dragón ha nacido y la desgracia se cierne sobre las tierras de Darlan, como una sombra augurando un trágico final. Su poder puede abrir un portal al Averno y desatar una guerra apocalíptica, dejando el mundo a merced de los demonios.Esto ha llegado a oídos de los acólitos de la Hermandad de la Llama Negra, quienes desean cumplir con la profecía y buscarán capturarlo ahora que es solo un niño.Las fichas de un juego macabro han empezado a moverse en las penumbras y la guerra es inminente. La esperanza recae en el caballero Ghelian 'Duil, quien acompañado de un hosco guerrero y una elfa asesina, y guiados a través de tierras salvajes por un ex mercenario de dudosa reputación, deberán proteger al recién nacido a toda costa, en un mundo lleno de traiciones.
Es una historia compleja pero no menos entretenida que tiene un excelente world building y una trama interesante. Los personajes son muy bellos pero para mi me faltó un poquito más de profundidad para con ellos, quizás al ser tanto y haber tanta info del mundo algunos detalles pueden confundir al lector. Sin embargo si les gustan las historias como el señor de los anillos, la rueda del tiempo, etc seguro lo amen y disfruten! Una hermosa historia llena de aventura, acción y enseñanzas! Destacó también lo bello de la edición del libro lleno de detalles, muy hermosos y acordes a este tipo de historias.

La esperanza recae en el caballero Ghelian 'Duil, quien acompañado de un hosco guerrero y una elfa asesina, y guiados a través de tierras salvajes por un ex mercenario de dudosa reputación, deberán proteger al recién nacido a toda costa, en un mundo lleno de traiciones.
Es una historia compleja pero no menos entretenida que tiene un excelente world building y una trama interesante. Los personajes son muy bellos pero para mi me faltó un poquito más de profundidad para con ellos, quizás al ser tanto y haber tanta info del mundo algunos detalles pueden confundir al lector. Sin embargo si les gustan las historias como el señor de los anillos, la rueda del tiempo, etc seguro lo amen y disfruten! Una hermosa historia llena de aventura, acción y enseñanzas! Destacó también lo bello de la edición del libro lleno de detalles, muy hermosos y acordes a este tipo de historias.

👤 La historia es un poco complicada de seguir al principio, los detalles y nombres de muchas personas y lugares son dados muy de golpe pero ya con el pasar de los capítulos se va entendiendo todo mejor. De hecho, los autores hicieron un buen trabajo con el plano del mundo que crearon.
Los personajes son una maravilla y el que todos tengan su momento de narración hace que uno conecte más con todos ellos, se logra ver que hacia el final de la novela todos tienen muchos cambios en cuanto a madurez a lo que son al inicio del libro y es increíble poder notar la diferencia y que no sea el típico cambio de una hoja a la otra sino uno que es transmitido a través de los capítulos.
🐉 La trama es una de las más originales que leí durante el último año, como dije antes, los autores se pensaron en todos los detalles para que sea algo original y que agrade al lector y ciertamente lo lograron.
📜 Por otro lado, sentí que algunas partes tenían más detalles de los que hacían falta, si bien es entretenido saber la historia detrás de algunas cosas no es necesario que se repita el proceso con todo y si no es algo relevante del pasado que se pueda usar en el futuro entonces menos.
Para finalizar, ame a todos los personajes y villanos, fueron bien escritos todos y los podías diferenciar unos de otros, las relaciones amorosas también me gustó que si bien fueron desarrolladas fue en un segundo plano y no opacaron la trama principal.
Y EL FINAL? Sentí que estaba leyendo una novela de fantasía best seller, ame toda la batalla final y literalmente el párrafo final de la historia. Ya estoy ansiosa por leerme lo que venga de la saga.

Gran historia , destaco a ambos escritores por su forma de escribir y de narrar los acontecimientos importantes de la historia, la historia se siente atrapante y te mantiene interesado en todo momento, con mucho gusto seguiré la historia de ghelian en los próximos tomos

Una historia epica con calidad narrativa
.
Una de esas novelas puras y duras de la fantasía con personajes mitológicos, guerras pasadas, personajes de siglos pasados, una Edad Media llena de enfrentamientos y traiciones.
Personajes con giros y pasados oscuros. Esas caminatas por bosques y ríos en las que se narran relatos del pasado que tanto amamos los lectores de este genero. Esas posadas en medio del camino donde siempre un hombre viejo dice verdades ocultas, donde un guerrero rebelde defiende al que atiende, donde pasa un grupo de trolls y se arma bardo.
Esas batallas donde uno solo se la banca contra todo un ejercito.

✅ Lo que me gustó: la profundidad del relato y lo bien escritas que están las escenas de batalla.

📮 Lo que no me gustó: Esa pomposidad del relato épico tan clásico al mejor estilo GOT o Señor de los Anillos que entiendo que a mucha gente le gusta, pero a mi a veces me aburre

En un mundo de fantasía épica y oscura (género bastante peculiar en estas redes), el destino de Darlan pende de un hilo cuando una profecía amenaza con desatar el apocalipsis. El nacimiento del último "Caballero del Dragón" desencadena una lucha por su vida entre los seguidores de la "Hermandad de la Llama Negra" (los detestamos) y un variopinto grupo de protectores liderado por el caballero Ghelian 'Duil (lo amamos fuerte), acompañado de un hosco guerrero, una elfa asesina y un ex mercenario de dudosa reputación (de esos que nos gustan)
La trama, rica en acción y aventura, nos sumerge en un conflicto donde cada personaje tiene sus propias motivaciones y secretos oscuros, que irán (en su mayoría), develándose conforme avanza la trama. Desde el inicio, nos encontramos inmersos en un mundo en conflicto, con ataques de orcos, entre otros seres y criaturas mágicas, y la búsqueda desesperada de un niño destinado a cambiar el curso de la historia.
La narrativa, ágil y envolvente, nos lleva a través de paisajes salvajes y peligrosos, mientras el grupo de protagonistas se enfrenta a pruebas y desafíos para proteger al pequeño Draco.
Aunque el libro es el primero de una saga, no se siente como introductorio, sino que nos sumerge de lleno en la acción desde el principio. Los personajes, aunque por momentos cómicos, son interesantes y tienen muchísima construcción. Aunque les advierto, NO SE ENCARIÑEN MUCHO DE NINGUNO porque pasan cosas...
Resumiendo, esta es una novela emocionante que combina acción, misterio y magia en un mundo vibrante y peligroso. Recomendadísimo para los amantes del género que quieran salir de autores como Tolkien o Martin.
