Robert is a cat who lives on an allotment site in Birmingham in the UK. He shares the site with other cats and humans from all over the world. Every morning Robert Tweets to his 38,000 plus followers. Written by Robert and his 'ancient human', this book offers more details about the life of Robert @AllotmentCat.
I’ve followed Robert and his cat and human friends for a few years on Twitter and love them. It’s a gentle, quiet life at the allotments and people and animals are kind. I liked learning about Robert and his friends backstories, where they came from and how they arrived at the allotments. A nice addition to Roberts gentle Twitter account and a solace in these times. Thanks Robert and ‘ancient’ human!
Funny, heartwarming and adorable. Cat lovers will throughly enjoy every single page. Coming from a rescuer of strays myself, I found it very relatable!
I'm a follower of Robert so that may make me biased I'm not sure. This book was wonderfully refreshing! I think there was a smile on my face through the entire book. I just lost one of my cats (Grey) who was so very precious and special to me so I wasn't sure I could smile. Reading this book gave me a much needed break from my soul wrenching grief. In my opinion the world has become a very dark and scary place over the last couple of years but reading this book was a reminder that there is still a few places out there worth visiting and a few people worth knowing. It's a feel good book and definitely worth the read! I hope there will be another book.
My cats (Romeo and Minuet) have been following Robert since the time the allotments were being threatened with closure. They love to see what happens with Robert and all his friends. There’s a sweetness about Robert’s tweets, and that same sweetness in in the book. It was a delight to see Robert’s human friends in the photos. Many blessings to all of you for caring for these cats and giving them such a wonderful life at the allotments!
This is a lovely book telling the story of the allotments with lots of lovely photographs. Thoroughly recommend it, particularly for children and you will be helping with the vet fund.
I follow Robert on Twitter and loved this little book about him and all his friends at the allotment. Bitter sweet to read due to Robert not being with us now. Keep going Allotment cats, we love you!
Though the book is a bit difficult to read due to grammar errors, I loved the concept and learning more about Robert, the allotment cat. I started following Robert on Twitter some months ago, and this was a great way to get to know his background and the other cats and people he has tweeted about.
Robert is pure love. This is the cutest story I have read. Robert's life changed when he inadvertently wandered into the Walsall Road Allotments. Since then he has become the much loved ambassador for the allotments. This tender story about Robert, his cat friends, and the humans that have supported him is a great read for any age. It is filled with love and great photos. A purrfect read.
