Life isn't all about happy endings, will these couples get their happily ever after?
Just when I thought I could breathe, Jahquel said, “nah, let’s make it worse.” And I loved every messy, backstabbing, emotionally unhinged second of it. These characters don’t just have problems, they ARE the problem. (Moet, Monett, & Essence)
Lies were flying, secrets were getting exposed like dirty laundry on a front lawn, and trust? GONE. Shot up. Dead on arrival.
The love? Toxic but tempting. The drama? LOUD and disrespectful. The thrill? Pure adrenaline. Jahquel J gave us betrayal, heartbreak, and just enough love to keep us coming back for more. If you’re not emotionally prepared, don’t even open it. But if you’re ready for chaos, welcome to the madness.
Excellent ending to this story so happy that Moet and Zane got it together, as far as Monett I'm happy for her and Hakeem and glad she got the courage to come clean about her past relationship. Tammy is a very independent woman and I'm so glad that she got through with dealing with her husband's death and raising her two kids it would be nice if she would Latrell a chance. Overall this was an excellent book
You all these couple's have more drama than a fake reality show. All of them, the whole collection, the entire crew were drama ridden. Tammy was probably the least dramatic, maybe. The Moe's were the stars of that show. The men enabled the nonesense. I'm out. Let's see what you think.
This entire series was a great read. I love how Zyair and Moet continued to conquer their problems together. I am so happy for her and this pregnancy. I hate that Rick died, but I'm glad that Tammy is finally finding some happiness. I would love for her and Latrell to get together. I'm also happy that Monett finally faced those demons of her past and found true love and happiness with Hakeem. I look forward to seeing what is next by this author.
WOW.... I am in a better place now, than I was at the end of book 2. I was so in my feelings...... This book had me in tears too, but I am happy to say, by the end of the book, I did feel some better, still in tears, but happier tears.
Funny moments, sad moments and clarity moments made this book seem so realistic to me.
I love Jahquel her writing is so life like.zane and his crew are so dope, the men love and protect their women and the women go just as hard.i was sad that it ended but have a little buzz kniw8ng there’s a 4 th book...... I’m off to reading
Jahquel J. Omg .. I’ve read All of your books I didn’t realize that I missed this book serious. I’ve read the whole serious this weekend from Friday to this Sunday 6-1-25 I absolutely love all of your books. The two sisters, Moët and Monette Have to Goodman and giving them a hard time. One Zyair is professional boxer of the other one is Hakeem his Mgr.. Why did they give these two men a hard way to go they got together. I love Tammy She’s a real one. A good loyal friend to the two sisters, she’s been through a lot And learning how to move forward after her longtime husband Ricky passed away. and I’m happy she found new love in Latrell And the new addition to the group lessons and her love. Everyone learns a lot about lessons and blessings and relationships and friendships. I’m happy everyone is going on one accord, Remain loyal to one another.
I felt such joy watching each character’s story unfold and eventually come together in the end. Life will always move forward, no matter the challenges—losing loved ones, battling addiction, surviving physical or mental abuse, enduring heartbreak, or navigating failed relationships. The pain that comes with growth and making room for elevation is not for the weak; it’s for those who understand that looking at someone else’s life from the outside is easy—until you’re forced to walk a few steps in their shoes. If someone shows you who they are through their actions, believe them—that’s honesty in its truest form. I truly enjoyed the entire series from start to finish.
Two books in one - 3 and 4 so stop looking for book four like I was doing.
Book 3 was ehh, but these women are too freaking much. My Girl Tammy might be quick to put your in your place but she got her mental right.
Book 4 was torture.. let me repeat .. these woman are too much!! Honestly this book seemed to have only been written to give you more about the newest characters. And because all the books have multi character POV’s Jaquel just created some garbage to drag in their storylines.
Now I need to take a break from the Jaquel books if I’m gonna keep going through the older stuff. Maybe if Goon dropped soon along with XO then I would be able to jump right on it to the good good .. alas we have to wait.
These women had mi exhausted lol, but they had the right men to humble them tho! Im glad essesnce found her happi endin, i like hw keem humbled monett, she got herself together because to lose a man like him, she would b crazi lol. Tammi finalli allowed latrel to let him in, they r cute together. Moet and Zane, im glad they worked thru they differeces, moet will act up, he let her calm dwn and they right bck at it lol. Great read, ima take a break, i wnt to read still b.a.e, but ima wait lol! U did tht💐
Omg the way Hakeem handed Monett ass to her was heartbreaking, but necessary. He put up with a lot and she was definitely spoiled.
My heart ached so bad for Tammy. How do you move on from that. Big Mama also got in my nerves but I loved how she loved everyone. Sometimes you just have to stand back though. You can’t fix everything.
Essence was introduced and came with issues. I’m glad she trusted her instincts and put herself first. The audacity of Sept to lie to her and do that under their roof. I was so disappointed that he played in her face but I was happy how she handled him.
The entire series was excellent. Couldn't put it down. The characters are well thought out and put together. I was so happy to read something different about some very positive people. There are ups and downs. Had me crying for a minute there. I really enjoyed this read and will read again in the future. Very touching. Thank you so much for blessing us with this series. Looking forward to reading more of your work.
This was a cool something to read, but the drama was just sooo much. I really couldn't relate to Monett at all. And her and Hakeem's arguments were ridiculous. What say you cheated and then get mad because she left and didn't stay and talk to you sobyou could say you were lying. And then the sisters argument was horrible and just trash. I have read other series from this author and have loved them. Unfortunately, this was not it for me.
This was book 3 & 4 together, thank you Jah. Let me say this, a book can be written so good & you still not like the main characters.
Moët was immature & annoying. I had to keep remembering their age bc her & Zane was a mess together. They used sex to solve their problems.
Monett was annoying just like her sister. Hakeem deserved a better partner & I wish he would left Monett for good. She was selfish & too judgmental to always be dependent on a man. Like girl where’s your coin?
Big mama is one of the elders that enables bs. Yes she’s helpful but she needs to learn to respect ppl boundaries.
Tammy was actually my favorite after everything she’s gone through. She’s the only one that had common sense. Her delivery might not always be right but she don’t be wrong about the rest of the women. Her & Latrell deserve to have love.
Essence was likable just a little slow for Sept. So glad she left Sept & focused on Kamari.
Great read!!! I was happy for Monnett and Essence, women really have too put there foot down and love themselves first before anyone else can be loved!
I’m a sucker for a happy ending. After all that Moët & Monett went through I’m glad they got their Prince Charming. I was so hurt for Tammy, but she definitely showed you can’t keep a strong woman down long.
Book 3 and 4 all in one. I realized when I was reading this I had to many emotions because between all the different couples, you go through so many tropes. Getting invested into all the characters you have to see it through.
As usual Jahquel writes a series that resonates. Her characters are so realistic that you identify with some and become enemies with others . I strongly recommend this testimony of love, forgiveness and friendship.
I love me some Jahquel J! This is another hit series she has written. The things these women and men went through were true to life struggles. That's what I really liked about this.
This bunch is a whirlwind but I loved every minute of them. Everyone needs an unbiased, honest and real friend like Tammy. I’m glad all the couples got their relationships in order.
The only reason I didn’t rate this a five is because of the small typos. This story was good. Seeing all the different personalities tamed and brought together in a relationship, and the realities of choosing to do life together with someone.
