The subtitle on the title of this book is: Striking Facts and New Hypotheses. It shouldn't be taken seriously. In general, everything in this book cannot be taken as fact and as truth. Although I remember, the author himself said that he does not state something, but simply tries to show the facts as he knows. At the very beginning of the book, he says that he himself was from the category of actively non-believers in UFOs and tells the story that happened to him in 1976, at night, on a cruise ship, on the Black Sea. Or rather, he became an eyewitness to some unidentified phenomenon in the sky. He saw two luminous balls that appeared suddenly, out of nowhere, and after about 15 minutes they also suddenly disappeared as they appeared. Then a certain professor of history approached them, to gaping eyewitnesses on the deck, and said that these were simple balloons, like a weather balloon. Although it is doubtful that these were just weather probes. Such "competent" and calm "explanations" are always rather stupid.
The book seems to be interesting and it contains some rather unknown cases about the alleged appearance of unidentified flying and diving objects on the territory of the former Soviet Union. But the most important and disgusting thing is that this author, clearly a chauvinist and imperialist, calls Russia all the countries which were then part of the infamous inhuman Soviet empire. This is unacceptable and objectionable.
