Good characters and plot.

Another fine romantic suspense story from Terri Reed. I love her characters and story lines! They always keep me turning the pages until the very end and then, deep sigh, I'm sorry to say goodbye to these characters that I've become so involved with! Books about the Mexican cartel are especially dangerous and suspenseful. Abby has no idea why two attempted kidnappings have happened to her! She's just a simple bank employee! When her "new" neighbor, Jace, rescues her from a kidnapping attempt, she thinks he's just there at the right time until something doesn't feel right - he seems like a law enforcement person! Well, he is - a US Marshall sent to protect her from the Garcia cartel who want her! She's never even heard of them and doesn't know why they'd want her of all people! When Abby and Jace go on the run, they don't know why the cartel finds them at every turn. There is a lot of action in this story and it's very realistic. When the cartel catches them, what happens to them in captivity is also realistic. I couldn't go to bed until I found out how they got out of this terrible situation! Jace's parents are great and Jace learns a lot about them and his upbringing throughout the story. I loved this book a lot!

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Forced to Flee. Terri is one of my favorite authors so I was excited to get this book in the mail. I do love her work. This story is well-written, action-packed, and full of suspense. I know you are going to love it.
Abby Frost made her way home after closing the bank where she worked. The parking lot light fixture above her car has been shot out. She is attacked but escapes and runs inside the back building. Safe at last. Later her sister calls to let her know that they have received DNA results for her sample. She would find the results online. She finds a different father than her sister. Her mother confirms it, her father was killed years ago under the protection of the US Marshals. She gives her the marshal's card.
Us Marshal Jace Armstrong is sent undercover by his boss and father to find Abby and keep her safe, She is related to a large drug cartel. Her father wasn't killed but ran off after his supposed death. If the cartel learns of the daughter they could use her to make her father come in. He moves in across the hall. Soon they are both on the run.
An exciting journey to stay one step ahead of the cartel. God has a plan for these two, a plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. a good plan for peace and not for destruction. Give Him your heart and watch Him work in your life.

Another great story by Terri Reed. Suspense, romance, faith, family...this book has it all. Believable characters that I hope to see again in a future story. I received a complimentary copy from the author in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

Such a great suspense novel. We find Abby and sister, Nancy waiting for the results of their DNA tests. Abby had always wondered why her looks differed from the rest of the family. After work she locked the doors and hustled to her car in the rain. She found the lights broken around her car. Glass shattered, no lights in the lot. Afraid she heard footsteps then attempt to pull her from the car. This is the start of finding out who she really is.

Have read several of Terri's novels and I'm never disappointed. Lot of intense action with this one. Jace tries to keep Abby safe but they may both be in over their heads and assailants come after Abby. Who knew a DNA search could turn out so wrong. Good interactions between characters.

Full marks from me, as a bank manager escapes from one attacker and is then protected from more by a US Marshal. We see a lady in a responsible position and although she's done mainly desk work, when she is put in a situation that requires her to take charge and use mental and physical abilities, she rises to the challenge.
We also see a side of Witness Protection that is interesting and serves to shift the location from Washington State to Texas. Although I am not certain that bringing someone who was fleeing a Mexican cartel, a great deal closer to Mexico, was a wise idea. Why not Boston, where cartel members would presumably be easily spotted?
This romantic suspense tale is a good adventure with more suspense than romance. Also it is a clean read, apart from considerable violence.
I read an e-ARC from Fresh Fiction. This is an unbiased review.

"Forced To Flee" is another enjoyable novel by Terri Reed!
Abby Frost, one of the main characters in this novel, is being pursued by the Garcia drug cartel. Miraculously, she is able to escape on their first kidnapping attempt. On the cartel's second attempt, her new neighbor, Jace Armstrong comes to her rescue. Is Jace simply the neighbor who happened to be in the right place at the right time, or is there more to his story? Why is the drug cartel after Abby? How are Tomas Garcia, the head of the drug cartel, and his son Marco always able to stay one step ahead of the U.S. Marshalls? Well, you'll have to read the novel to find out!
Ms. Reed does another amazing job of creating an enjoyable, suspenseful, action-packed, romantic novel. As with her previous novels, they provide a clean and wholesome plot, strong Christian characters, and well described settings.
"Forced to Flee" will be available at the end of September. I would definitely add this novel to my Fall reading list!

This book had an action packed beginning and it didn't quit. Jace and Abby working together to keep Abby safe and also Jace was great. Loved the twists and turns. The ending! Wow!! This is one you don't want to miss reading.

Phew! We're off to an intense start in the first chapter and tension just keeps mounting as the story progresses. Love the way Reed has captured the myriad emotions Abby goes through as she is thrust into one nerve wracking experience after another -- and she meets the challenge with spunk and fortitude! Really nice pacing between those edgy scenes and the developing romance. I felt like I got to know both Jace and Abby and could see them falling for each other -- even in the midst of mayhem.
A solid suspense plot with intriguing twists and turns made for a riveting read. And, while this isn't listed as a series, Jace has two colleagues I wouldn't mind seeing featured in their own stories so here's hoping the author's muse plays nice and grants me my wish. :-)

I have a bit of a problem with characters who basically fall in love with someone right off the hop and Jace does that with Abby right behind him despite her knowing Jace is lying to her almost from the start. His name included.
Fortunately he's apparently incompetent at his job and his cover is quickly blown and despite knowing the US Marshall have a rat in their ranks Jace and his boss dad haul her in and off to their home territory for all the fun and shenanigans. Somehow during all of this theu find time to fall in love...despite barely knowing each other. A Love Inspired classic, strangers to lovebirds in three weeks or less. Yep.
But if you are looking for a light suspense fluff read and can just ignore the improbability of things, this might be alright for you. Easy enough to pick up, easy enough to put down.

Exciting Christian suspense story
Abby is attacked after leaving her work one night. U.S. Marshal Jace is sent to get close to her and keep her safe, without explaining why! This is much harder than Jace had thought it would be. The group after Abby are very well connected and are constantly trying to harm her. Can he keep Abby safe and figure out how the group keeps finding out what the U.S. Marshals are doing?
The pace is breakneck and the tone is uncertain yet hopeful with an action and character oriented storyline that has some kisses but no steam. The characters are vivid and engaging. The Christian faith is shown mostly through prayers. The action is non-stop.

Abby Frost is attacked after leaving work and the guy tries to take her with him. She manages to get away. Then another attack happens at her apartment complex and she is saved by her new neighbor Jace Armstrong who is using an alias and working to protect her. Will he be able to save her? Do they have a mole at the US Marshall service as she keeps being attacked wherever they go. Why is someone after her? Does it have anything to do with the cartel and why would it? Will Jace be able to keep Abby safe or will they both pay will trying.

I really enjoyed this clean, love-Inspired, romantic Suspense. I bought this at a local store and I voluntarily chose to review this story.This story pulled me in quickly and it sure was hard to put down. I've given it a 5* rating. I normally don't care for mafia type stories but it wasn't bad. And I really like the good guys in this stories. I enjoyed most of the good characters in this story. On to the next.

Wow,Fantastic
If you love suspense you should read this. Action from beginning to end. Abby does a Ancestry search along with her sister and that's what get the suspense started. This story has attempted kidnapping, US Marshall's, a mole in the Marshall's office, and the drug cartel. Along the way Abby finds love with the US Marshall that has been sent to protect her. This author has been one of my favorite Christian suspense authors for years. She never disappoints. 👏👏👏

Terri Reed is becoming one of my favorite authors. I really enjoyed this book. Abby Frost was an assistant branch manager of a bank. One night she closed up the bank and was walking to her car. Her survival instincts kicked in when she was attacked. The book starts out getting your heart rate up. This book had suspense, action, and romance. I also loved the hero. He had a good story that was weaved perfectly throughout the book. This is one I’m sure I’ll read again.

Abby met Jace when he helped save her from an attacker. He is an undercover US Marshall who is protecting her from the mafia. Loved the action and the story but the ending fell flat for me. The relationship between the characters didn't really develop as the book progressed. There weren't very many interactions between the two main characters. I felt the ending was a little abrupt.

This book takes all action into trouble and out a lot of times. Reading it was a case of one more chapter,then I can stop. But that didn't happen. I went until the end. Based on her imagination about if her wasn't really her father and how a simple test can have such horrible results as well as romance.Can wait for another book by Terri Reed

I enjoyed this novel. It is full of fast-paced action with a strong heroine and a trustworthy hero. The plot was well-developed with a conclusion that tied all of the plot strands together. Terri Reed is one of my favorite writers in the Love-Inspired Suspense series, and she usually delivers a good read.

I truly enjoy suspense thriller books and this one is outstanding. The chase, the capture, the escape and the multitude of complications combine to make this a great story. The characters develop a believable relationship that naturally follows God's true course in such a wonderful way.

A wonderful story full of surprises and action! I loved Jace and Abby and all the characters in this book. An absolutely amazing book!!
